The Golden Nug - Does it Connect to my Origin Account or Saves?

Well, I have finally gotten around to upgrading to a new computer so that I can afford to turn the graphics settings on high. That way I can see the 3D grass I bought with the game as I walk through a meadow.

That said, I had some concerns when it came to Dragon Age Inquisition. I played two characters already but I don't think I will mind if I lose them in transition as I was planning another play through. However, what I am concerned about is losing my Gold Nug information with all of those excellent schematics and such.

So my question is whether the information stored on the Gold Nug is based on my Origins Account and can be accessed from a a new computer or is based on my save games and so requires that they be kept intact.

I don't know if Origins has an effective Cloud service (such as Steam) so I want to take precautions and at least make sure I don't have to worry about my prized/gaudy gold rodent statue being made useless.

Does anyone have any advice towards that end?

The golden nug is tied to your account. The data isn't stored locally, so you can't ever lose it (you just have to log in using the same account, and you need to be playing online for it to even show up).

I don't know if it works cross platform, but it doesn't sound like that will be an issue for you.

I don't see why cross platform wouldn't work or at least same platform of different gen. The information would just be something like an index, correct?

Well that's a relief. Thanks for the quick response, I appreciate it.

I had not thought about the Golden Nug working across platforms. It's good to know.
