I've just started playing Trespasser (yeah I know I'm late to the party).

But so far I'm just stunned. Haven't even gotten to the story part yet but just the new game mechanics alone make my heart so happy. The new "trials" when combined w/ nightmare mode are awesome--makes the game a lot more challenging. And not only have you fixed the firestorm and walking bomb bugs (HUGE THANK YOU FOR THAT)--but some of the new ability upgrades are beyond excellent. Others not so much, but that's okay.

I'm about 150% pleased with this purchase already and I haven't even touched the end-story yet. Well done.

Trespasser is by far the best DLC for DAI. I enjoyed it so much.

My favorite was Trespassers second place The Descent because of the Titan story. Love to hear more about it.

Yeah I'm the same. Would rate Trespasser as the first, Descent second, and JoH third.

My take is that Trespasser is clearly the best but JoH i would rate slightly ahead of The Descent. Mainly because of the historical implications on Drakon, Orlais and the Dales. Within the confines of the last gen consoles they managed it well. Anyways I have enjoyed them all three very much for different reasons.

I also enjoyed them all in their own ways, I just am a bigger fan of the more "linear" approach. I feel as if it brings me closer to the story that way, not making me feel lost or overwhelmed, which JoH did when I first started it.

Trespasser is built more like one of mainstory quests. There is very little side content really. And not surprisingly the best parts of the game are the main quests. JoH is more like a really good side quest. =)

I loved it.  It was the perfect cap to this entry in the series.

My only problem is that whetted my appetite for a DA4 too much :P

god damn it!!!
stop hyping me!!! started my 2nd playthrough and i am still lvl 6, i bought JoH and tresspasser as soon as i learned about the trials today!!
you see i was ignorant!
While i did enjoy my 1 playthrough last year (took me 3 months from launch day) my friends actually were bashing the game, this totally kinda ruined my experience.
I forgot how epic this game feels sometimes!

I have a guide that allows me to make it a very linear experience if that is what I want. The main game had many optionals so that the player could pick what they wanted to do for power points. I didn't see too many optional quest in the DLCs. The optional quest in JOH were there to get the hold to support you. It tied nicely to the main story DLC of JOH.

+1 to this thread. I'm really enjoying where this series has wound up! Fell in love with the characters, lore and story of Origins; adored the characters in number 2; and have literally just now found myself getting chills with the ending of Trespasser.

I'm sure there have been innumerable 60+ hour weeks pulled by the development staff on behalf of these games, but seriously thank you for your hard work and making fantastically rich, complex stories and characters.

I like it, right up until the ending, but, explaining that would be a spoiler so, not here. It is a great DLC pack that adds a lot to the entire game. Just not my choice of endings is all.
