Warning -- Warning --

Spoilerphobic people don't read the contents below. You have been warned.

OK -- here we go.

Dragon Age Inquisition has two obvious ME easter eggs.

1. In castle CAER Oswin with Cassandra while  in "Promise of Destruction" side quest. you will see a @@@@@@ head mounted on a wall. Belongs to a fearsome and very strong race.  I almost missed it.

2. Look at the Enchanter's throne. You get this by completing Vivienne's "Bring me the Heart of Snow" quest. This "Mage Throne" looks exactly like a Mass Effect @@@@@.

3. Others are most subtle but still crossover from ME (imo).

For example: Garrus works on weapons systems Cullen is also working on low-tech weapon systems.

For example: Garrus' famous quote about "reach" and "flexibility and how they work on/off the battle field. Varric uses this when talking with Sera as they discuss Bianca.

For example: ME! and ME3 has the famous puzzle Towers of Hanoi. In the Descent DLC you can actually play a version of this puzzle.

Hope you enjoyed these tidbits.

PS: So, now I'm hoping Andromeda will have a mini game somewhere

Not to mention the "calibrations" Cullen does for the trebuchets.

The tower of Hanoi is a game that has been around for ages... I remember back in the 90s playing Jump Start 5th Grade and they had a tower of Hanoi. It's also in Black and White and at least one of the KoToR games. I am almost positive the game existed centuries ago as well.

Also, one of the Hallas in DAI is called 'The Pathfinder'. :)

Wasn't the Krogan's head actually in the Winter Palace?

Okay, I completely missed the similarity between the Enchanter throne and a Mass Effect staple, assuming the shape was primarily associated with Circle heraldry, but now that I see it, I cannot unsee it! Neat catch.

"Calibrations" made me laugh. And the reaction Leliana has is also priceless.

Had to google "reach and flexibility" because I never got that banter.

Thanks for posting this, anyways!

After a time, one starts asking "are these easter eggs or is Bioware just really really unimaginative?"

It is both at the Winter Palace and Caer Oswin.

It is only fair that they have ME trophies in DA, given that they had DA trophies in ME (the ogre statue in Donovan Hock's vault.)

It is both at the Winter Palace and Caer Oswin.

Well, darn, I completely missed that one then. Thanks for letting me know. :)

In the Descent DLC, Dorian complains about how long the elevator is taking.

In Trespasser, Cole is talking about Legion: "It always had a soul. The question is the answer."

I also heard some Chantry sister "embracing eternity" :D something like: "Come, my child, and I shall embrace you. In my arms lies eternity." Do Asari also believe in the Maker? ;)

And my favourite - the song The Dawn Will Come and the line "The shepherd´s lost and his home is far, keep to the stars, the dawn will come...", listen from 0:33  ;) It is so brilliant...

Could be self promotion of Mass Effect. Personally,  Bio was having fun.

And let's not forget in DA2 expansion with Corypheus, the warden Janeka (?) spoke of controlling the darkspawn.

In the Trespasser DLC, Cole also makes a mention to Mass Effect's shifty cow when he says "Sometimes the cow takes your gold."

And there are many similarities in names throughout all DA - ME games (mostly turian - tevinter). I am sure I have read some note from some tevinter (maybe in Frostback basin?) with a "turian" name, maybe one letter was missing. Right now, just one came to my mind -  dwarven house from DAO - Gavorn ;)

The Krogan head trophy is a shameless insult to true warriors. Let Orlais burn for this.

If you ask Vivienne about what happened to the Circle she says something like this:

"The Circle is an idea, my dear, and an idea cannot be dissolved."

Could be a reference to Cerberus/TIM:

"Cerberus is an idea, and that idea is not so easily destroyed."

And Larius wanted to destroy the darkspawn.

I'm certainly glad there wasn't a third one who wanted to...join...with the darkspawn

Played Trespasser again... seams nearly every second Cole´s comment is refference to ME ;)

He died in the darkness so a blue rose could bloom.

...ah, Charr, I had always weakness for bad poetry...

She killed the girl to save herself. She thinks about the eyes going black. A weapon is an order. Not a gift.

..."Can I have a gun?"
