Maric was head of state and a single father; no spin can make running off into the Deep Roads with unknown and (at that point) untested companions into a responsible choice.

Sorry, I don't romanticize fatherhood. I believe many fathers make the right choice being away from their kids, especially if they're toxic influences. Then again, my own relationship with my dad is questionable at times.

"Extreme generalizations" makes it sound like you hava a legitimate interpretation and the readings of others are less valid than your own. You are posting in a confrontational style, which makes it difficult not to snark back. Want to declare peace or at least ignore one another?
