I am fine with swimming but give me a reason to go explore underwater like i have to find a lost ship or i have to kill some type of water monster.

A waste of resources.  I'd rather see implementation of a day-night cycle and changing weather in the various environments well get to explore.  Swimming is a better mechanic for the DA universe.

Nah it's really pointless tbh swimming in games always felt akward so I'd prefer them to focus on other things. Like our freaking JETPACK! :)

Hell no!

We are talking about exploration of alien planets. What are the odds that the ocean and water places here are not highly toxic, acid or even full of local aggressive lifeforms?

Like other people says in this thread, the MC and the other crew members may have an heavy armor. Even a very heavy one (Battlemaster Krogan, I'm thinking about you...). Like in Gravity, he will fall at the bottom the second he is in water...

However we could finally witness a Turian swimming! :P Garrus denied me the pleasure

That's what the jetpack is for. Also should impress aggressive fish.

Don't know much about acid and toxic water, but I guess the land part of such a planet wouldn't be cosy either.

Which brings up the question why land there at all without proper gear for protection?

Only if I can summon an omni-dolphin or an omni-submarine to ride underwater.

The leak said its only a omni dolphin after the character has sex. Before sex it's a omni narwhal, unicorn of the sea.

Now how did that go... A lot of flailing and splashing, interrupted by occasional bouts of drowning. Doesn't sound that good to me. :D

I'd rather they work on 'swimming' through space than through water.

There is a big gap between ballistic protection and full environnemental protection. In vacuum space you must be able to survive the solar tempest, in harsh environnement you must survive the dust and extreme heat change... But in "water", not a single piece of the armor must react chimically with the acid! There is the pressure too that need more bulky protecion (Bioshock). I remember ME1 where some planets where so hostile you survive only minutes outside the mako. In ME2 and ME3 you only explore non-lethal worlds (I exclude Tuchanka, after all, more than the world itself, it is seriously the lifeforms than have a grudge against your breath).
