Thread about hate for the batarians.
Let me tell you mine starter with that girl Talitha. After hearing her story and seeing what
they did to her I wanted simple exterminate them all.
And then the DLC about that asteroid. My hate grew.
"Quick slave grab".
I felt much the same way. Put a few "bullets" in the first Batarian I got my hands on. But it wasn't because "zOMFG slavery is bad", or "they're all monsters" thing. I just didn't like them, from the get-go the moment I saw that pig face in the Codex I just knew. Enter stage: smug idiot Charn who thinks he can just "It's just a prank bro" his way out of situation where he killed at least a dozen humans.Well... he saw the error of his ways pretty fast. Then along came Balak and presumes to chastise me for not letting him get away with attempted ethnic cleansing scot free(Shame hostages had to die, but I wasn't about to let this maniac go). Anyway that was my interaction with Batarians in ME1.
Then there's that side mission in ME2 where you have to choose between potentially giving up a colony of some strategic value or letting couple hundred people die, Again courtesy of Batarians. So, it doesn't take a crystal ball to guess that I couldn't be stuffed to warn their colony.
Then in ME3 you encounter all the Cannibals and say to yourself: "You had it coming A-holes!"
Well I was on my merry way indulging my inter-spices nazi tendencies when I completed Omega DLC, at the end of which I received an E-mail from Bray that ends as follows:
"Be careful out there. Know there's at least one batarian here that doesn't want you dead."
Now I feel like a total A-hole. Live and learn I guess.
