I just got this character and I can't figure out what how to do the light melee hammer combo. All I get is the headbutt, or hold for the heavy melee hammer. What's the secret?
Krogan Warlord melee combo?

It's just 3 successful light melee attacks in a row.

Yes, that's right, one presses F for Fail 3 times in a row ![]()
Here's a good example...
Still my favorite GIF of all those posted here. Mostly because of the Wile E. Coyote flying starfish pose adopted by the Geth Hunter as it gets launched.

Is it hypothetically possible to backhand an enemy that was already being thrown in your direction, say by Throw or Venom? Because that would be freakin' EPIC.

The light melee combo for the KroLord doesn't like to fire unless it has a consistent target. It's a bit weird and buggy about when it will or won't work, but you can usually use multiple targets to keep a chain going, if circumstances cooperate. In general, though, the combo's use is for larger bosses. It has decent DR during the animations, and it staggers pretty much everything, so the combination allows you to tank a couple of Primes. Just repeating the combo over and over (pausing occasionally to load up on whichever hammer power and/or fire the gun) is often enough to keep the KroLord alive, especially if equipped with a Cyclonic.
For the most part;
If mook and standing: go headbutt (go into combo if shielded)
If mook and running: go running backslap
If Armoured Mook and Biotic Hammer: Go Heavy Melee
If cluster of enemies and Electric Hammer: Go Heavy Melee
If armoured enemy of size and bullet sponge: go combo
If swarmer then nuke.

You're too young to remember Ken Griffey, and also too young to remember Ken Griffey Jr. when he was actually good...

Actually, him & Frank Thomas are/were my favorite baseball players growing up. I would ditch school to watch their games. I have about 100 of their games video taped...from the 93-98 seasons era. I live in Phoenix...In a 1997 spring training game I saw Griffey hit 3 HR's in 1 game.
On-topic... If that KroLord hit was done in Yankee Stadium..that Hunter would have been in the upper decks.

I met Frank Thomas in 1991. I was an absolute fanatic. I ran up to him, all excited, and said "Hey Big Frank!" He looked down at me and said "I'm just Frank, and you're nobody." and kept walking.
I became a Cubs fan right then and there. I was 11 years old.
Jr. was living in the same condo building as one of my friends when he first came to the White Sox. I got on the elevator, and inside was Jr. all by himself (dressed like he was just in the gym.) I didn't say a word.
When the door opened to my friend's floor, I looked at him and said "the sweetest swing I've ever seen." He smiled real big, I nodded, and walked out to continue my evening.
Short and dumb, but that was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I'll remember forever how happy and gracious he seemed at that moment. He was in the twilight of his career, and his talent had been sapped away by injuries and age. In my opinion, he could have been the best ever. Ever. But his body didn't agree.
I'll always remember that sweet, sweet swing...
