From NM dragon last night.

Put a few slivers of craggy skin on it...

Not impressed.

That was the last lvl 27 I needed to get Crescent...

Of the guys (or girls) on here who have the Cresent already, what is next?

1. Keep playing game and wait for next month's book challenge to open chest and recieve Crescent ?

2. Farm the hell out of NM or HB Dragons and pray to RNG gods?

3. Go h.a.m. and spend 750k or more gold coins in store?

Any good advice would be helpful.

Congratulations!

Time to let them hogs loose and go ham in the store? What other reason would you be sitting on gold for at this point? I think all three methods should be deployed at this point!

No harm spending in the store. A few have dropped there. Third race got crescent from store chest right?

I got my second Crescent from store RNG on Sunday. And instead of maximum damage, I got, errr, minimum damage

Had a look at that thread.  Yes Space had 7k and went to store.

 

I'm sure Thirdrace had 3k? and went to store and got it before logging of (if memory serves me correctly)

 

So it may not be a bad idea to drop your gold in there.

Yep, I got Crescent from store chest, then got it 3 more times the next day when Book 4 reward landed. Got lucky too, one of them is at max damage.

I also got all my weapons either from the Dragons or store chests, except for the 3 I got from Book 3 reward.

I've come to 2 conclusions with this:

1. I'm very lucky
2. You might have better chance getting what you need by doing anything BUT Nightmare Ferelden Castle. The gold is better and you have better chance from store chests than from dragons...

Btw, I think read somewhere a average of 2.5 mil or 3.5 mil gold was spent prior to unlock.

I'm sure I have spent over 2 mil.

Hmmph, I was expecting a thread about how fun the Dancer's Axe is.  It's all I use on the Katari these days.  Oh well, to each his own, variety is the spice of life, yadda yadda.

I thought the Dancer's Axe on Katari was fun for 1 promote, then it just felt meh....

 

Don't get me wrong, it feels wonderful for soloing in a corner.  Round they come....in a pinch they die.

 

But in a team?  Nah.

I used it few games on Avvar,but novelty wore of pretty quickly.

I don't see a reason to gimp myself on higher difficulties.

Because always being optimal gets old. Because always using the same weapon on all characters in the same weapon class gets old. IMHO, of course.

I have seen so many Katari's spinning with their Dancer's axes this last week trying to break pots.   One time I told one of them that I read if you start from your back facing that pot, it is easier.  I think he got mad at me speaking out and charge to break it instead.

The dancer's axe is best used on katari with the immunity amulet. Really fun, and generates guard pretty damn fast.

It would be more fun if the animation was consistent and you could move decently during it.

True, I still have yet to try him against RTC. Dueling spin to wins. Would be nice if we could move as fast as he does...

Doesn't seem to do it for me, you sure? Can anyone confirm or debunk? Was also wondering if you upgrade whirlwind does it also increase your basic attack damage per spin?

I once saw 2 Katari with their dancer's axes in FC. It was like a competition or something that they always went after the same crowd of enemies. The animation and sound effect of them whirlwinding next to each other are so hilarious that I couldn't stop laughing the entire time. Too bad my game crashed before we could get to wave 5. I would love to see 2 Katari dancing together at the feet of dragon
