After having completed Mass Effect on both PS3 & XBo 360 I finally completed it on my laptop on Origin, however, throughout the game whenever I fire any weapon I can't move it around while zoomed in until I have fired one shot, makes Sniper Rifles really awkward, I thought it might have just been that game, but am now playing Mass Effect 2 on Origin and the same problem is on this game, is it because I'm using a laptop? No mouse just the touchpad, have my aim set to the space bar and fire to the enter button.

Yeah, I'm guessing it has to do with the touchpad, not with the controls. Perhaps you could try plugging in a mouse to see if it changes anything?
