Didn't take him. Sorry (post Doom Upon). I think all he does is explain why Drakon didn't come to save him. Basically, Dorian's line.
Not sure how he reacts to what you tell Professor Kendrick about Ameridan.

He does have some comments, he finds the Avvar attitude toward spirits refreshing, though I've never taken him the end sequence.

He has no character specific dialogue with Ameridan (unlike Cassandra). When Ameridan finds out how long he's been frozen he asks why Drakon never looked for him, and one of your companions will say it's because of the "darkspawn in the Anderfels" (i.e. the Second Blight). It's possible for Solas to be the one to say that.
