I'm just curious.
Can you save Saemus?

No.
I wonder if it would change anything if there was a way for him not to be killed?

Frankly, I thought it was a stupid decision to kill the guy off. His character had potential, and could have easily been influential if he had been given time to grow. Granted, he never engendered himself to me like the nobles at the Landsmeet in Dragon Age Origins had - by comparison he was always more of what Eleanor Cousland would have called a "wallflower."

Nope. Petrice will always have him killed, no matter what you do.

Not sure. If he lives, he may become the next viscount after his father's death. But, I don't think Meredith would like that.

I wanted him to live too - he really had potential. But storywise his death was sadly important.
snpier-arrow: I don't think, Meredith would have kileld Seamus, because he could become the next Viscount. I don't like Meredith and she does a lot of really bad things, but that line, she would not have crossed

Meredith wouldn't really have to do anything. Seamus didn't strike me as the sort that was particularly interested in becoming Viscount, and even if he was, his sympathetic attitude toward the Qunari alone would have undermined his ambitions anyway. Few would stand for someone in the office that was openly intrigued by the Qun. Meredith could easily just appeal to the crowd's distrust and the mob would do the work for her.

Seamus wouldn't want to be Viscount. He want to spend the day walking on the Storm Coast
