for you guys that are soloing heartbreaker and nightmare, save the sneers and move along:  I'm proud of myself.  Took a long time to winnow down the alpha and I almost gave up through boredom but I wanted to do it just to say to myself I did.

When it comes to Dirkspawn and EA, isn't winnowing mandatory? TTD just gets telepopped.

Well done.  There are some classes vs some opponents I don't think I can solo perilous with.

 

By the way thanks to your Lego for saving my hunters butt in that treasure room last night.  I got a tad cocky and had a fear demon and a despair demon alternating smacking me in the mouth.  I was actually worried until PShot_Korbin showed up.

Good job man, I soloed venatori on perilous acouple of months ago and it took me around 1 hour

 

how long did it take? lol

 

cause the lego isn't exactly like the reaver lol

 

I got a little problem with my finger and hands muscles as well lol

 

with the lego enemies just keep coming and you just keep taunting them lol

 

Lego is the coolest character in the game

At first glance you'd think so, but that's noob talk. You can find locations to force the boss to stay in place (or otherwise restrict their movement to a smaller space), and/or lunge & slash / upgraded shield bash to them in time. I can think of multiple places on every map that can do this.

 

Even if I didn't do that, the Emissary has multiple animations that are several seconds long (that makes TTD worth it), and you can work around the restrictions. You could even taunt him, maintain distance and wait out the TTD until you can one shot the Emissary.

 

There's LOTS and LOTS of ways to win the game, but you have to keep your mind open to them and brain thinking.

Don't get me wrong. I've played more than enough of the game to know how to exploit its mechanics, but the short of it is that TTD is generally less effective vs. EA. As for waiting to one-shot him...ain't nobody got time for that.

Actually some people did have time for that, as I recall a post about a player waiting long enough to do millions of damage vs one enemy. It really doesn't take that long though. Definitely less time than it takes non-ttd builds do if you can't already kill the boss in under 10 seconds.

Not denying that it's viable. Just sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Ideally, I'd just tag him with it and let someone with more damage go to town. Soloing as Lego would be another story, so I suppose it's the right thread for it.

LOL if you saw it in action you'd see it is a lot easier than you're imagining it to be. Granted, better players can still pull off more tricks than worse players, but the learning curve isn't super high if you actually tried.
