I have noticed new players on PS4 and also noticed some of them either feel ready like Luke in Empire (ready are not, they are) or they're mimicking higher promoted players. eg. many run off to spawning treasure rooms, solo, and insta-die. Others seem to try running around the Veilfire event like they have HoK boosts, but they don't.

I believe it is mostly due to new difficulty not really new players.  I think they are just doing what they would normally do in the lower difficulty.

the death will be a slow and gradual decline at first ending in a point where it will be pointless to play and they will turn it off

6 months tops is what I figure

given EA's history of switching off stuff they will leave it until its had nobody login or less than 100 people logging in during the month for 3 months on the trot and then announce the closure will happen in 3 months, once the new game in the franchise is released or they announce there will be no more games in the series  but they will still need to keep the sp side of it alive even once the new game comes out or release a patch to make it playable without internet access/

 

the chances of them announcing either in the next 6 months are pretty slim unless they suffer catastrophic failure as a business that is /

Like some others have said, I've only been on recently to complete the weekend/monthly challenges.  After nearly a year of regular play, I've picked up other games like Metal Gear 5 and Fallout 4 is out next week on top of that.  I'll likely only be back on when December challenges go up or if I need some kind of break from the other games.
