Frank, the thunderdome outcome will be irrelevant - u might as well njoy the ride in the yellow submarine.

Implying I would care for the outcome. It's for fun.. and science.

And to tell a little but well known secrect: the tech lovin' frogman used to have an avatar throwing green goo balls all over bsn. Isn't a long time since he's a tech fetishist...

Because - unlike Biotic Specialists - you can't detonate both. But it's okay.

No deal for me detonating your puny tech burst with the first throw stripping enemies shields and finishing the target of with the second throw resulting in a big BOOM.

Why would we want to waste glorious tech powers to detonate inferior combos?

The discussion started about cluster granades. Of course I'll use the Drell Adept and frogman can use the froggineer.

Paging Deerber and TheNightSlasher to train me on Drell.... Helllppp.

Even if you win it will simply be a victory of tech unless you use the no Clusters spec

Have fun with your pathetic pull> reave combos. At least you'll be able to run away from all the bosses and shielded mooks really fast.

Explain how you would have arrived at such a presumption.

;) ok i'll humour u :

4 the rest = tldr.

By simply continuing your process of induction, instead of also relying on deduction, like the rest.

1) you assume that a grenade is a techincal device simply because it has a physical component(vessel with pin).
2) hence you presume that a lift gnade is a technical and not biotic power.
3) as such, any other physical vessel displaying biotic properties should also be classified as technical, otherwise rule 2 would be broken.
4) for the assumption in rule 1 to b recurisively correct - all function must be technical and only some subset of those are biotic also.

Rule 4 breaks ur own logic by stating that technical powers are superior.

So one can ***deduce*** that the initial start conditions for your inductive reasoning was silly.

Just admit it SMR, u made a mistake.
QMR left u high and dry.

Postedit : ;) ok she did try to help u out, so hat of 4 that. But she had revert to emotives (word =pathetic) to make her case, so no deal. (Pulling the tears / emotions card its a trump card with Y chromosome)

I make a lot of mistakes when my wife is around. Start today and save a daisy.

1) you assume that a grenade is a techincal device simply because it has a physical component(vessel with pin).

It isn't an assumption, it is a fact unless you find a way to prove that Cluster grenades grow on the vines of special eezo trees instead of being manufactured in a factory or workshop.

2) hence you presume that a lift gnade is a technical and not biotic power.

It can be both, but the biotic component can't operate without the Tech. Without the mechanical device, the Eezo is just raw material. By constrast, I can take out the blue stuff and pack some electromagnetic energy in there, and it makes the grenade even better.

3) as such, any other physical vessel displaying biotic properties should also be classified as technical, otherwise rule 2 would be broken.

Only if it is an artificially manufactured component. An asari isn't entirely, though they obviously owe their abilities to the superior Tech of the Protheans. And they use biotic amps (Tech) to improve their powers because they know that without Tech, they are weak and virtually useless in comparison to the awesome power of Tech.

4) for the assumption in rule 1 to b recurisively correct - all function must be technical and only some subset of those are biotic also.

Not really, as elucidated in 1-3. Nature isn't Tech, for example. Eezo isn't Tech, but virtually every use there is for it is contingent upon Tech, because Tech is superior.

We both know the fallacy in your answer on point 2 : If biotics are co-depedent on tech , then tech cannot be superior to itself (again recursive logic)

Checkmate...

ps. I still like the fact that you're covering 4 that biotic deserting, tech loving creature and stay true to ur character motto.

Variety is the spice of life.

Hence I *try* to shy away from superiority statements, myself.

The only way your reasoning constitutes "checkmate" is that it is too contrived to play along.

Jack in ME2 can get "L5 Implants" to boost her Biotic capabilities.  Those L5 Implants are created by Tech, to augment Biotics.  Without those Tech Implants, she is not as strong.

So Tech is superior to Biotics because Biotics are dependant upon Tech.  We are not trying to prove that Tech is superior to Tech, because that is silly and illogical and total nonsense.

You are trying too hard to fail.  You can surely do it with considerably less effort than this.

Another inductive reasoning mistake SMR.
u have to start practicing your deductive skills a bit.

So to use similiar analogies To ur jack tech dependence; to enchance biotic skills:

1) Since organics are dependent on water, it doesn't make water superior in any way.
2) Similiarly, a tour de france athlete using drugs to enchance its skills, doesnt make the drug itself superior.

Tech is just a means to an end. No more. No less.

As usual, in an argument between two opposing sides, the truth is somewhere in between.

Biotics are tech abilities!

According do spacemagic lore, a biotic ability is simply a way to to manipulate the substance known as Eezo through  electrical currents.

Organics can enhance their skills with implants. Shields-barriers-Tech Armor-Fortification are mass effect fields generating protection against force impact.

BEs and TBs work in the same way by disrupting the atomic structure of a target on a sub-spacemagic level.

The argument on which is superior is irrellevant - they are two sides of the same coin.

As a consequence of this, i see no reason why the Geth can't have biotic abilities.

What the title says. Someone told me on game that the explosive ammo bonus is bugged so you actually end up doing a lot less then you normally would using it.

Is this true or is it simply the effect of the others much more beneficial. Rendering explosive ammo pointless?

>using explosive ammo, unmodded
>ever

This is the best use for tech.  Biotics are much better for killing stuff.  Except if you could make bacon out of Collectors maybe.

Lolno. Remind me of who the most efficient kits are again

GI, Talon, QMI, QME, DAI, TGI, Sexbot, Lamer Trooper, Paladin, SI. All Tech.

The only lolbiotics who can get close are the other two Drell (who both can do so only by using grenades that we have already proven empirically as actually being Tech, and the Vanguard only on lolGold) and the Furry, and even then only vs factions with lots of armor spam. Derperus and Toasters especially lol @ their pathetic, inferior explosions while glorious Tech, ever the solution of those endowed with great intellects, has an answer for everything.

The reason tech kits are so much better than biotics can be down to the fact ammos can prime for tech fire ice explosions, but there is no ammo to prime for biotic explosions.
Even then I guess someone would argue that the biotic primer ammo is tech :/
Also the fact that most/all biotic primers can be overruled by tech priming ammo leads to tech having a fast advantage.
