Following the extremely popular pip-boy edition of fallout 4, could we ever see the same idea used by Bioware, releasing a functioning omnitool for use alongside the game?

I just want there to be awesome digital items. I don't plan on buying physical copies of games anymore.

You mean like when Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver came out with the Pokewalker?

Confirmed, BioWare collaborates with Aerial Burton to provide a functioning Omnitool with the Collector's edition of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The holographic display will be created using femtosecond 1Kh infrared pulsing lasers and are safe to view* and touch, wile a 3D scanner will detect when one or more of your fingers occupy the same space as the free floating display in order to give it touch-screen functionality.

The device itself will be wrist mounted and portable. The basic power source will be a watch battery, which will allow the omnitool to function continuously for 7.35 seconds. For advanced users who require prolonged sustainability, the power source can be upgraded to  a system of 25 car batteries in a serial circuit configuration, which can be dragged behind the user in a hand cart for convenience.

While exact numbers are still unavailable at this time, it is estimated that the Special Edition of Mass Effect: Andromeda will cost as little $850.000. A real bargain if you ask me.

*) Infrared glasses will be provided to avoid direct laser exposure of the eye but neither BioWare nor Aerial Burton accept responsibility for any injuries sustained by the product.
