So I unlocked this new sniper rifle that kinda looks like this.

grid-cell-23353-1446585778-8.jpg

The last time I unlocked a weapon I had never heard of (the Striker) it turned out to be a tennis ball launcher. I sure hope the Indra doesn't suck. I can't find many opinions on it in the forums, so I figured I'd ask. It's an UR... but so is the Spitfire and that thing would be more effective if it fired those little birds that pop out of the eggs on the Air Man stage on Mega Man 2.

So yeah, the Indra.

Well, it's a sniper rifle.  So slap it on an infiltrator and go to town.  Enjoy not having to worry about shield-gate or having a scope that is a big bag of garbage and zooms in too far.

It is an AR in the SR spot

It's fairly adequate and would have made a nice Rare, but as Ultra Rare is underwhelming

Throw it on an Engineer and laugh your way to the bank!

It's a good weapon. Given its super-fast reload, its multi-clips dps is actually on par with those of the best sniper rifles. I advice however to put incendiary rounds on it, it makes quite a difference.

As for the character, my favorite for the Indra is the drell infiltrator. With his fast movements and the Indra's high rate of fire, you are basically shooting non-stop.

I like it on the fast but squishy infiltrators like DAI, GI or QMI to keep them as mobile as possible.

You can put it on an engineer as well for longer ranges. Just beware of the tunnel vision.

Just tried it on the QFI on Silver and was very successful against Geth with phasic ammo. I scored at the bottom but did my share of damage. I was using piercing mods to deal with armor. Thanks for the advice and I will look for better mod/weapon combos to use with the Indra.

You don't need the phasic ammo on Indra because of rate of fire. Incendiary, disruptor or warp rounds might be more useful.

You did right to keep the piercing mods.

This except I prefer it on my Geth Engineer.

Indra? If it's spitting a bunch stuff in your face, you're holding it the wrong way. Turn it around.

It's on my GE & SE pretty regularly as well...especially my GE (accuracy boost from HM tames that AR-like spray).  Also have it on my Paladin.

But how do you equip a melee mod on the Indra to boost the shield bonk?

It's shockingly easy to get headshots with it too, because if you miss your initial shot you can easily correct on the fly due to the super visible tracer rounds.

Not already mentioned: Asari Huntress Infiltrator + Indra + Warp Ammo. DC (or Warp) the target and then melt it down with the dozens of Warp Ammo rounds. It's how I used to play her before I got the Cerberus Harrier and Lancer.

I used to use it on my Paladin as well. Filled a niche I found he was lacking. Paladin is great mid-short range, but lacks long range options.

ED-Indra at long range. Quickscope when enemies get to mid range with incin's/snapcheeses, then shieldbonk in CQC topping your shields up with well timedplaced ED's.

Turns Geth Hunters/Pyros into your own personal shield battery-packs.

Also lets you use Sniper Amps instead of Pistol/AR/Shotgun amps.

This has been implied in the above posts but I'll state the obvious: one of its biggest advantages is that's it's light, so good on power classes where you want to maintain fast cool downs, plus it of course adds another long range attack option.

I don't feel like the Indra was designed for Infiltrators.  Its light weight and long magazine size make it more like a sniper rifle for power-based classes.  I like it on the Turian Sentinel and the Justicar.  I also like it on the Shadow as a "sidearm" - you can use a Talon or a light shotgun for your main/melee weapon and an Indra for long range engagement, while keeping your cooldown low enough to SS twice in a pretty short window.

I slap it on the GE most of the time when i'm going platinum and it comes to tech sqads.

Indra goes surprisingly well on the Huntress as well. She has no sniper damage on cloak and no accuracy bonusses, but the Indra is a beast on her.

Go with all available piercing mods and put incendiary/disruptor/warp ammo on it and it works up to platinum.

Mostly sucks. Like most sniper rifles in ME3MP, it incurs a damage penalty if hip fired. Not ideal for the Indra

The indra's a rapid-fire assault rifle that gets sniper rifle bonuses and mods and has a built in scope. It's a good weapon if you're into that sort of thing.
