MEA ranks 9th on a youtube video who cares

Bioware have said and showed off things in past games that did not make it in the game so maybe there keeping quiet until its all done and in the game this time. Or will start to show off the game a lot more next year.

Yep, that's what I was referring to :).

So no MMO was ever planned for Dragon Age.

Noone cares i guess, people who like mass effect will play it anyway and it will probably be good enough to attract new players. But the question and my point was not the place in the list, i asked why bioware is so cautious with giving out information about the game.

People went crazy when ME3 didn't live up to some announcements made before release.

Also, it's probably for the best to keep stuff unrevealed until there's something solid to show.

Basically, I believe it all comes down to marketing and avoiding legal issues.

Probably not much info out right now because we are at LEAST a year away from release.  Honestly there's no real reason to start the hype train heavy THAT early anymore.  Announcing games a year or two early is fine, But there's no need to be releasing preview after preview a year before launch.  Now adays thats just silly.  Personally i think more companies should take Bethesda's approach to Fallout 4, dont say a damn thing until a big show like E3 and then go "Oh yeah it'll be out in 6 months".

THEN you get the ball rolling :D

I wonder if the game may have gone through a rewrite.

The whole deal with Chris Schlerf combined with Bioware being unusually tight-lipped compared to previous games, is a little suspicious.

Possibly, but then the game would get delayed further.

I think it's honestly just an issue of "people complain when we show stuff, so lets show less." Heck, look at how they did Inquisition DLC trailers, a week before release in most cases.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is the goal now. Not a week before release, but a few months before release, or when the title goes gold in August.

Less is more, The Force Awakens trailer have barely given people any context or story hints and so far that's trending real well. Seriously, Bioware should continue as they are, let people be surprised by a games story instead of giving it all away.

I believe they showed way too much in the force awakens trailer. For example that one guy who we all thought was a storm trooper they showed him becoming a Jedi.

He's about the only person shown being anything. All the other new characters including Kylo Ren are pretty much unknown and even The Storm trooper remains a mystery when you get right down to it,

Mass Effect can hype itself up so no need for year long marketing like DAI which ultimately made the game disappointing for most of us. Bioware needs to apply Bethesda like marketing and information release. This will be best for us all.

Releasing MEA as a MMO would kill the franchise. Not going to happen.

We knew someone would. But yeah, if that hadn't been shown my money would have been on Rey.

To be fair, we saw him turn on a lightsaber. You don't have to be a Jedi to turn on a lightsaber.
