My first idea...
Name: Nae'ra t'von-"Neon"
Species: Asari
Background synopsis:
Being raised by her business oriented parents, she grew up in an estranged life from her parents who paid her no attention (she will bring up in conversation how she had an Asari mother and Hanar father). Of course, being an Asari, she is naturally Biotic. Due to her parents' expansive wealth, she was able to gain a broad education, many biotic tutors and many training facilities. While she had planned to become the next business heir to her parents (shady) business empire, she had instead unexpectedly decided to make a dealing with an organisation that specializes in making people disappear without a trace. This organization is called "Mass shift". For 200 years she went through multiple phases of working as a mercenary, pirate and a stripper (gaining the nickname "Neon" in the process"
She is still working as stripper in the club known as "Euphoria" when the player interrupts a confrontation between her and a (rather...frisky) Krogan asking her for favours. You can either paragon interrupt,The PC will say something along the lines of "This isn't something you want to do" along with other options that can be selected after the interrupt. One option convinces him to snap to his senses. The other causes Neon to biotically throw him into a table full of other krogan (as she will be bored with the PC lecturing the krogan about how his seriously inebriated state. very entertaining scene to watch.) The renegade interrupt just results in the PC attacking the Krogan. No warnings. Just a straight up beat down, Neon will say something playfully along the lines of "thanks, you seem to know your way around a fight."
Regardless of how you deal with the Krogan, you can either recruit her by offering her a bigger paycheck or appealing to her sense of adventure and attraction to danger. Or you could just reject her, which leads to her being unavailable unless responding to a later email the PC gets stating a new contract just in case they change their mind.
Personality:
Being experienced in adventure, violence, and other...endearing experiences, she has formed a dismissive demeanor attitude which disregards any serious situation. Think of it as a deflective barrier. She also is playful as well as adventurous, but knows that there is always danger lurking around every corner. She won't be upfront about her personal past, instead she will respond to the player with a phrase of a simple "Not going there", but she is very friendly/ humorous on other topics e.g. her past adventures. She also likes to flaunt her expansive knowledge of science, history, planets etc. when on missions yet mentions the phrases in a streetwise dialect (So liara's intelligence with Jack's streetwise tone.)
She has no interest in adapting her lifestyle to a more civilian standard, and in fact, plans to return to a life of adventure and danger. (think of her as a less psychotic Morinth). She openly rejects most/all traditional Asari ideals as she finds them "too much of a buzzkill". If asked about her real name then she will simply state "I'm not here to make friends"
Appearance:
Her skin is a purplish-blue with deep blue eyes. She has a strong (yet slender) jaw line which ends with a semi-rounded chin, unlike other Asari she has no facial markings which she says symbolizes her "allegiance to no-one. In height terms, she is around 5"4 (shorter than most squadmates) but makes up for it with an hourglass figure and firm rear.
On the Ship (I'm assuming it's Tempest) she will wear a loose-fitting robe covered in Asari patterns which (deliberately) shows too much skin.
On missions she wears a tight fitting commando suit modified with Neon purple light on the shoulder-blades as well as along her back going down to the middle of her rear. She wears no helmet as she jokingly says (she) wants them to "embrace the face of an angry Asari B***h" before they die.
Combat:
Neon is what can be referred to as a "glass cannon" as she can cause massive amounts of damage with biotic explosions yet lacks durability. She uses warp as to prime for detonations as well as slice which is when she pinpoints biotic energy into a thin line that cause solid damage initially upon first contact as well as detonating biotic explosions (this can hit multiple enemies at once. Slam is also a power she can use for causing high damage upon a single enemy. Her loyalty skill is flare which acts as a biotic bomb for dealing high damage (though be prepared to defend her as this skill has a long cool down and her durability is low)
if weapon class seperation is in effect, then she uses an smg and pistol
Moral alignment/ approval:
Neon approves of actions that involve the player taking the most "profitable route" as well as choices that lead to confrontation as "she needs a buzz". She disapproves of the safe routes as she will openly state her need for a challenge. She gets along with squadmates that have had similar adventurous lifestyles to her. Morality wise she would be "chaotic neutral" as she has no malicious goals, she is just doing her job (and enjoying it)
Loyalty mission:
Later on through the game, Neon anxiously requests the PC to speak to her. While speaking to an uncharacteristically desperate Neon, she will mention how her Parent business specialized in selling over-clocked biotic amps. She admits that she has been monitoring the locations of the mainship which her parents live on, and interrupted a distress call stating that they are being attacked by pirates who are trying to steal a new prototype for profitable gains. If the player does more than 2 missions then the ship will have reported to have been destroyed, resulting in Neon angrily confronting the player and then leaving the party without any room for negotiation. With a high renegade, the player can attack her while she is walking away, resulting in the player having to combat neon within the confines of her cabin. The fight ends with her cussing you in her last dying moments. You can cut off this with a renegade interrupt where the PC will snap her neck with their boot. (Samara intro reference *cough cough*)
If the player goes before then, the ship will be intact and The player along with Neon and another squadmate will breach the ship. Upon first walking in, Neon will find her father (a purple Hanar) dead on the floor. This will result in her going into an enraged state, in which Neon coldly states that she will "take care of business on her own". Regardless of how the player tries to convince her that the party stay together on this mission, she goes through the ship in hope of making the invaders pay and saving her mother. As you travel the ship you can find biotic amp upgrades (surprise, surprise) and will encounter surviving pirates (with low health assuming Neon damaged them yet didn't bother killing them in her rampage) while seeing sights of destroyed rooms due to Neons power-rage.
After this you will find an injured Asari with similar feature to Neon, who turn out to be her mother. You and your squadmate must protect her (a health bar will be presented) as you continually progress through the ships and more pirates. Her mother can use pull and warp, so she isn't just annoying fodder with no self-defense. When you get to the labs, you will find a still-enraged Neon repeatedly slamming the (presumable) chief to a pulp. This can then result in Neon either having an angry confrontation with her mother (If the player was aggressive/renegade) or forgiving/ glad to see her mother is okay. (Paragon/altruistic). If she is within an angry confrontation in which she questions her mothers' antic with the business and blames hr for her fathers' death, a decent paragon will give the option which fully convinces her to appreciate her mothers' safety (this option isn't needed if the first outcome occurs). Otherwise she ends up leaving her mother on the ship (which the player can bring the mother on the ship where they can drop her off on a nearby hub planet or leave her). Either outcome results in Neons' loyalty.
If her mother was forgiven, she will mention that she hopes to re-establish lost time with her and may even be willing to "try and live the life they knew best for me". If not forgiven, she will state that she hopes her mother "gets what she deserves" and even "may come for her myself".
After this mission she will slowly reveal that she suspected that her parents' business had shady dealings and ran away to escape as she didn't want to harbor responsibility for her parents mistakes. She will also reveal her true name (Nae'ra t'von) and become more trusting of the player, asking him/her for advice on occasion.
Romance:
Only when loyal she can be romanced by a playable character of either gender and morality alignment. She will slowly yet enticingly respond to flirtations made by the player, which will eventually result in one of the three outcomes.
-She will firstly suggest a no-strings attached sexual relationship, which can be rejected or taken into stride
-She will state her desire for a committed relationship if rejection of the "sex only" relationship option was chosen. You will see a more vulnerable yet loving side to her.
-You can state that you change your mind and therefore close off any romance options.
Note:
Rejecting her doesn't affect her loyalty, nor does pursuing any type of relationship

i hope you guys enjoyed this post

It's a little hard to get too in depth on this until we get some info on what sort of races can be found in Andromeda. While I'm sure we'll have some human and other Milky-Way-Race squadmates on the ship, I'm sure we'll also end up picking up some locals.

I can understand that point, but i'm asking for a more "fanfic idea" creation, it doesn't have to correspondent with "andromeda lore" as we do not know the main plot of ME:A. I'm just asking for fan creations, but I do get where you're coming from. ![]()

here's my second idea (yup i'm gonna be updating sometimes, might put a third later)
Name: Shaun Davis "The observer"-Tactical tech infiltrator
Species: Human
Background synopsis:
Shaun Davis was brought up on a small border colony within the Andromeda galaxy on a planet called Kantek, where he lived a life of freedom within the vast forests the world inhabited. he was taught how to hunt large predators by his father, who was involved in a covert alliance espionage unit. His mother died giving birth to him, meaning that he never had anything more than photos and videos to remember her by. He was introvert as a child, and because of this trait never engaged in any friendships or activities other than hunting with his father. Eventually, he had started hunting by himself when his dad was asleep.
eventually his father realized this and suggested that Shaun son could join an alliance infiltration program for further exploration of the Andromeda galaxy and suppressing Khet attacks which strangely appealed to Shaun, as he knew he would have to work with other people. Being an experienced hunter, he used many of his adapted hunting techniques to complete his missions and always getting the job done.
He eventually is assigned to the Players team, meaning that he is with the player from the beginning and no recruitment mission is required.
Personality:
Shaun is highly introvert, which means that he often prefers to keep to himself. He has no problem with being left alone, where he tinkers with his omni-tool. He usually has interesting advice for the Player when it comes to approaching missions, and he can either be asked about this before a mission or casually mumbles during the missions. While seemingly oblivious to personal affairs in the crew, he is surprisingly well informed on what occurs between the squadmates, indicating a secret interest in the social lives of his crewmates without wanting to engage in one. if asked about his past he will tell you about it but will be neutral about what "relevance it has to well...anything"
The player can either encourage his introversion or encourage him to "come out of his shell" and become more responsive to other squadmates when they try to engage conversation with him, in which he will become more sociable and speak at a normal volume rather that mumble.
Appearance:
Shaun has a generic black hair with alabaster skin (if encouraged to be more social, squadmates will jokingly call him "pearly"). He has deep brown eyes and a finely bridged nose, he is also cleanly shaven, as he prefers to keeps himself simply clean, instead of having distinctive facial hair. He is of a relatively average height of 5"8, and has an athletic-yet-slender build.
On ship, he wears a standard black hoodie with grey jeans and black combat boots (he prefers to dress in dark, mundane colors). When in combat, he wears standard alliance armor with a recon hood (all black)
Combat:
In combat, Shaun takes the role of a support sniper which can cause damage upon single target. He stealthily navigates the battle field with tactical cloak. He can highlight an enemy with tactical scan which gives a major damage buff on that particular enemy. He uses submissive net to trap enemies.
His loyalty skill is assassinate, which he uses for the moments when he needs to make that critical shot that could make the difference between life and death.
He has average durability.
He uses a sniper rifle and an smg
Moral alignment:
He prefers it when unnecessary combat is avoided, and when the player takes tactical routes and approaches to situations. He will also approve of helping troubled families (due to his relationship with his father) He does not favor brutality at all as he feels it is petty and an "unnecessary way to get noticed and killed."
He would be considered "true neutral"
Loyalty mission:
Shaun will ask if you can go to a small ice planet where a reported Khet attack is located, where they are trying to steal a piece of remnant technology that could be used to enhance atmospheric shielding. As you arrive on this planet, you are to go into battle with a khet squadron, confirming Shauns' suspicion. After you kill this squadron, the player question Shaun on why this mission is so important to him, in which he finally admits that his father still live on Kantek, which is at danger of being hit by a solar flare within the next few months, and that his father is senile yet stubborn, meaning that he will not move off of Kantek as it contains "too many memories (yes, his father is that sentimental and stubborn, to the point that it seems idiotic and/or sickening). He says that with this atmospheric shielding artifact, Kantek has a chance and that his father may be old and senile but he "isn't ready to lose the only person that's ever been for me now." The player is can either be understanding or ignorant/blatant, which loses approval from Shaun but doesn't really have much affect on loyalty but affects his friendliness to you from then on.
The player and his/her squad then proceed into a mountain facility (a large base hidden within a mountain) at this point, the player will have to fight through multiple patrols of Khet. Halfway through the base, the player and squad will find a lab full of dead scientists. Shaun will suggest that they should search the lab for info, which they will eventually find a 2-hour old recording made by the scientists claiming that the base will self destruct within 2 hours and 15 minutes, gives the player and squad only 15 minutes to retrieve the artifact and escape. With a high renegade the player can persuade Shaun to abandon the mission and just say "they're wasting breath". Shaun will sadly comply but he will not be loyal after this mission.
If the player chooses to proceed to get the artifact, then he/she will send Shaun and the other squadmate to the mako parked outside while having to run to one end of the base (and encountering Khet on the way), retrieving the artifact and running back out.
After escaping, the player will have gained Shaun's loyalty, which will make him more trusting of you, as well as paying more attention in conversing with the player. After around 2 missions he will mention that the solar flares came sooner than expected but the atmospheric shielding saved the planet, meaning that his father is alive and well. A codex entry explaining why Kantek is such a significant asset to humanities survival will also be recieved (Kantek is an important planet that could be used to quickly react to dangers to other nearby human-colony inhabited planets).
Romance:
Shaun can be flirted with if the player is a female character, but will eventually reveal that he has a preference (fetish) for female turians, meaning that he cannot be romanced.
Note:
There MAY be a female turian coming next ![]()

I have a few I've daydreamed up, nothing comprehensive.
A ruthless male human adept, a social darwinist to rival Morrigan.
A male empath from a new Andromedan species. Looks human the same way Quarians do under the hood, with mostly cosmetic distinctions. Vanguard.
Another AI companion, androgynous appearance, male voice. This one doesn't need help acclimating to organic society.
An Asari Ardat Yakshi with a noble, self sacrificing spirit who struggles independently with their nature in a way we've never seen an Ardat Yakshi do.
I also really want another Quarian, but I don't have a character concept. Just something different and new.

I think it's a little too early to think about squadmates until we know for sure what races will be in the game.
I would expect one or two of the squadmates to be human, though. ME1 had Kaiden and Ashley, ME2 had Jacob and Miranda while ME3 had James and Kaiden/Ashley, depending on who you chose to save in ME1.

Name: Detreen Kavritis "thief of the people"-Infiltrator
Species: Turian
Background synopsis:
Being raised by a traditional turian family with a prestigious military background, she was aware from a young age that the same was expected of her. She had been identified as a stealth prodigy during her courses at the age of 17, and due to this, was given a rare opportunity to joining the elite turian black ops program-"unknown dynasty". Throughout her training, she had excelled in modification of stealth technology, meaning that she was able to (with the help of her fathers' wealth) modify her own combat suit to be specifically specialized for stealth. This occurred at the dismay/jealousy of her fellow infiltration squadmates.
On a high-priority mission, she was assigned with assassinating a Khet general within their territory, with the help of her fellow infiltration squad (note: she was a squadmate, not the leader, so she had to follow the orders of the squad leader). A critical complication left the mission a disaster, when she had to disobey her superior as he had commanded her to leave her squadmates to die in order to kill the Khet general (despite her rocky relationship with them.) She sacrificed the main mission of assassinating the general to retrieve her squadmates. After this mission, she was dishonorably discharged with the offense of disobeying her superiors, hence leading her to the life of a rogue, giving her the shameful label as the 2thief of her people". She developed links with many criminal under-lords, where she would steal remnant technology for advancement of her stealth suit. The protagonist meets her on one of their missions in a remnant vault, where the have to converse with her to be persuaded to let them pass, regardless of which approach you speak to her, she will allow you to pass and automatically join your squad.
Personality:
Detreen harbors a great dislike of the strict turian code of military platitudes, and will openly express this when the player asks her her views on turian lifestyle and society. She is surprisingly humble and also introvert like Shaun. She follows her own set of morals for vengeance, yet is against harming the innocent, giving her a "robin hood" mindset. She often has opinions of other squadmates, yet doesn't express them.
Appearance:
She has the same facial structure as *nyreen kandros (omega dlc), yet is a more grey shade. She had red facial marking on her facial crevice plates. She has a relatively thin build, but she is around 6"2, giving her an impression of towering over some squadmates (especially neon tee hee)
In combat and on the ship, she wears a specialized turian stealth suit, with a cowl to partially cover/shadow her face. she has to shoulder lights, that are red, and her armour seems to have a mysteriously leather quality, instead of tradition plating. She can casually mention that this is because of manouverability, but is later revealed to be composed of healing nanides from remnant technology. She also has a small launcher on her right arm (more on that in combat section.)
combat:
She uses tactical cloak to move around the battlefield unnoticed, which she will follow up with a shot in the face (usually).Shadpow strike is something she can use to cause large damage to a single enemy, and poison blade to perform damage over time.
Her loyalty skill is nanide swarm, where she launches a small pellet from the wrist launcher in her armor, which explodes into a swarm of small "collector swarm-like" robots that cause electrical damage over time in a certain radius (also is heavily disrupted to enemy shield regeneration.
she has relatively low shield, but average health.
She uses custom shotgun-pistols and an electrical sword
Loyalty mission:
Detreen will come up to the player explaining that she has found suspicious communication between her ex-captain and the Khet general she was set to assassinate on the mission that led to her dishonorable discharge. The player will then go to the planet revon to investigate this as, coincidentally, her last mission occurred there. The player and his/her squad must then sneak through the Khet colony to get to the main generals base.
Multiple tech upgrades can be found on the way. An alarm will set off as the player and Detreen enters the base, meaning that they have to hold off waves of khet as they progress through the main base. When they eventually get to the main meeting room, a major surprise occurs. The player and the squad finds the Khet general, Detreens old squadmates, and her old captain aiming weapons at the party. A dialogue sequence/cutscene occurs where Detreen questions her general on his involvement with the Khet general. The captain will explain how (in their old mission) the squad were in no real danger and that he intended to kill her on their way back to their shuttle in return for remnant technology that would give him "no need to ever rely on the chain of command again" hinting his desire to overthrow the turian heirarchy, as well as his promise to give her squadmates leadership aswell, revealing them to be traitors to the turian race. The player and the squad will have to defeat the general and squad (as well as kill the Khet general) along with other Khet forces. After the battle, Detreen will state that her old squad and captain deserve death for what they have done, which the captain will state her hypocrisy as "she is nothing more than a dirty thief". the player can persuade Detreen to instead bring the turians to the ARKCON military prison for interrogation, otherwise, detreen will silently execute the squad and captain with progressively torturous, savage techniques and then finally finishing off the crying traitors with a shotgun to their faces while telling them "I may be a thief, but you are all just a bunch of f***ing idiots." Her loyalty is then restored. If the turians were spared, Detreen will mention how they managed to foil may assassination plots and secure remnant technology which will help the turians establish security in Andromeda and that she was offered a re-instatement and award of Valor by the turian government, which she is planning. If she murdered her old squadmates she will be conflicted because she once considered them "honorable and trustworthy but then they turned out to be a**holes"
Romance:
After her loyalty is secured, she can be flirted with by either gender, yet she will evetually reveal to have just been leading on the male player as she is strictly "for women" (HAHA sorry shaun!).
She will then state (if the player is female) that she is looking for a committed relationship and not a casual relationship, in which the player can then reply how she either feels the same (starting a proper romance) or "was just looking for some fun", closing off the romance possibilty.
Note: she will mention how she had to reject Shaun, which the player can tease him about especially if the player romanced Detreen, in which they can use sexual innuendo to further irritate him.
Few! well that's my third! tell me what you think ![]()

name: Kheera nar Rhala-sentinel
Species: Quarian
Background synopsis:
Upon entering andromeda, Guarians ship drives became unstable due to exposure via an unknown element that leaked into the main exploration flotilla- the Rhala. Hence such eezo exposure, some children were born with biotic abilities that manifested in early adolescence, in which Kheera was one of them. Due to her having an inherently weak immune system (as per usual within inhabitants of the Quarian species), the amp installation nearly killed her as outside contaminants often did (she mentions this also happening to other Quarian children). Due to their inexperience in training a biotics as Quarian biotics were EXTREMELY rare, many Quarians initially felt uneasy upon this change, yet eventually settled in after Asari intervention which consisted of them sending biotic tutors. Quarians still maintained their ethic of pilgrimage, yet for the biotics an exception was made: Three groups containing five biotic Quarians each were to go onto the pilgrimage together as the Quarian admiralty board wanted to see if they could serve as potential soldiers to defend the fleet against coming threats that were to be expected of moving to a new galaxy. The player encounters kheera following a distress call stating they are under threat of a mercenary gang on an anti-law hub (similiar to Omega). She is the sole survivor when you recruit her, and joins through survivor guilt stating that she wants to help people for the sake of her fallen comrades.
personality:
Kheera is a young Quarian (23) and therefore has little experience with humans. due to her awareness of the weak Quarian immune system she is nervous about physical contact with other people, even if they are other Quarians. Due to this fear you can hear her repeating don't hit me don't hit me don't hit me in combat.
Within the first couple of missions, she will weep softly on the ship while praying to her ancestors that her comrades souls made it to the homeworld. After that she learns to move on and eventually becomes more chatty to others.
She initially is intimidated by Shaun yet eventually forms a joking camaraderie with him.She is intrigued by Neon as Kheera is unable to imagine herself dressing in such and enticing manner and exposing skin, and even asks her for tips if romanced. She generally tries to speak to detreen due to their common ground of being dextro-based species yet is shut off at first, they get along when they are both loyal as they realise that they have more in common than they realized (e.g. ethical codes etc.)
Appearance:
hence her germ-phobia, she wears a standard Quarian enviro-suit which is a combination of red cloth and standard black armor. she desn't bother wearing her cowl fully outwards (like Tali) so she keeps it tightly worn near her helmet. A red-tinted black visor covers her face and a white light comes on whenever she speaks. She is only slightly taller than Neon (5"6) and has a typical Quarian build.
Moral alignment:
Kheera is what could be considered neutral good. She approves of when the player helps others in need, and is also in favor of sharing/charity as well as helping Quarians. She likes it when the PC avoids combat when possible, yet is in begrudging understanding of the player when it cannot be avoided.
Combat:
Kheera is what can be considered self-defensive as she uses tech armor for those moments when they may actually hit her, it can be detonated. biotic protector is another power she uses to protect herself and squadmates. She uses combat drone to distract enemies so they don't focus fire on her. her loyalty skill is wave. Wave acts as a combination of shockwave and throw as a giant wave of biotic force is used to push away enemies and can kill them with bone-crushing force or fling them of ledges and through windows.
Kheera uses pistols and shotguns.
she has high shields but low health.
Loyalty mission:
Kheera will eventually mention that she has found data that could potentially bolster the Quarian fleets defenses as well as end her pilgrimage, and is under heavy guard of the same group of mercenaries that killed her squad. Kheera speculates that the unknown group are planning on invading the Quarian fleet for power or enslavement over the Quarians, which angers her. Strangely, this mission can be partaken at any time as long as it is before the final mission as the data is heavily encrypted and is also under demand for the Quarians, who are revealed to have wanted to launch an attack on the group yet are unable to spare soldiers at the time due to conservation of potential resources and defense. The player, Kheera, and another squadmate will land on a small desert planet. A cutscene will occur where the Kheera will state was i wrong? before a tremor occurs and a large tech-beacon erects out of the ground (remnant, not prothean). It will then start shooting beams at the squad, resorting to the player and co driving the mako to the base that also erects near the beacon while dodging the progressively quicker and more difficult beams. When they arrive, the squad will encounter the leader of the mercenary band, where the player can either ask them why they are doing this, which they will reveal that they have plans for the suit rats or can outright threaten them. the leader will run away initially while waves of mercenaries will attack. After around six waves are defeated, a particular boss fight with the leader will occur. He will have high shields and mid-high health. When they player gets this leader to around 5% health, Kheera will surprisingly finish him off by smearing the walls with him with an unexpected discovery of the wave ability saying: "that was for my brothers and sister, you arrogant bosh'tet."
Afterwards, Kheera will send a message to the Quarian fleet mentioning how they have managed to secure the information and will send it to the Quarian fleet, and her pilgrimage will be over. You will hear her say to the conclave captain over communication: "My pilgrimage may be over, but my brothers and sisters never survived to see it. this is for them, not me."
Her loyalty will be secured and she will be truly at peace with the loss of her comrades. She will also become less shy of other squadmates.
Romance:
After her loyalty is secured, the player will slowly be able to wither ask her why she is scared to be near others, where she will reply "because i'm scared of meeting the wrong person to- well I didn't mean it like that" where the player character can either tell her to keep it professional or return mutual feelings. Over time, she will express her uncertainty about how the relationship will work, where the player can comfort her or break up with her (doesn't affect loyalty). Eventually the PC will find her on the bed sitting nervously (if romance was maintained). The player will question her either way but she will instead take of her mask and lunge at the player without any warning. After the *ahem* sex scene the PC will ask her how she developed the courage to do it, and she states "I found every herbal supplement, immuno-boosters, and everything else i could think of to stop me dying. Who knew sleeping with humans(assuming the PC is human) could be so fun?" she laughs afterwards. She will then basically become more lustful after her "awakening" therefore developing a conversation option where it will act like a "press x for sex" option.

I want a renegade Turian and Krogan. Now, they do what I tell them to do, but I can't for the life of me get them to stop trying to kill everything and everyone.

I want a Combat Mech with a VI that has started to somehow transition to AI on its own. It can look enough like a combat mech that it isn't EDI 2.0 but still have unique features/paint job. It can fulfill the role of a more customizable companion. you can switch out parts on it to change its power set/appearance and can shape its personality to a small degree (I say small because I would want this mech to become the recurring companion and it would be a pain for the developers if its personality had any huge potential differences)
Outside of that a Batarian Vanguard (tough, boisterous and an alcoholic), a Vorcha engineer (strangely intelligent for his species but still with a crude way of talking), a Salarian Secret Police type character (kirrahe 2.0) and an Asari berserker (think Grunt and Jack combined with a little hint of Aria)
