Name: "death dealer"- adept/ biotic god

This is beautiful, but I think a female PC should have a chance with him.
Female Turian (biotic) and Asari with op biotics. Also a Krogan soldier (male) but BW has taken care of that already. All of them renegade or at least grey morality. The first two as LI too.
surprise me guys, give me ideas to play with or post your own! I may put on a salarian over the next hour ![]()
More female Salarians please.
I need romance options as well. ![]()
Name: Polanis laz'tuk "project 19x"- vanguard/ biotic assassin
species: Salarian
Backstory:
An experiment from birth and worth millions, polanis was hatched in a specified clutch exposed to toxic doses of Element Zero in hope that more Salarian biotics were produced, though she was often referred to as project 19x. With STG labs being all she has ever known, she was subjected to medical trials and experiments while also being education in biotic use and espionage. At 16 she was subjected to an unusual role in the STG, as an assassin. Being young and inexperienced, she made countless mistakes in her early missions and through trial and error; she learned how to be the perfect biotic assassin, achieving a peak focus coupled with the high salarian metabolism and experimental enhancements, she then earned a reputation among the STG. At the age of 20, she had then decided to escape the clutched of the STG and seek a new purpose, or at least to live the rest of her life in freedom. She marketed her assassin skills which took her all around the galaxy. A link sent to you via email will be from polanis saying: "hello, i know who you are and i'm interested. Very interested. i'm only going to say this: I'm not in it for reputation, or even the money. I just want to find a new challenge, and you are possibly the only person in the galaxy that can give it to me. Consider it, pathfinder. The offer still stands." This is when you can recruit her.
personality:
Polanis has a cold exterior, and seems to have a cold interior as well. She has a sadistic streak, emphasizing her psychopathic tendencies. Her cold exterior can be "cracked" in romance but otherwise, she will see no reason to speak to anybody unless she needs something. She can also be very informative as she tends to act as the observer in terms of assignments. If asked about her past, she will quickly close the conversation and will be open about her distrust of others and may even suggest that the PC may one day be her next target (though when loyal, her mind will change in that regard.)
Appearance:
Unlike normal Salarians, her skin has an almost metal-like quality, as it is silver and can even be shiny in certain lighting conditions. She has typical appendages (salarian horns) on her her, though her right one is chipped, and her eyes are pure black with a subtle blue glow that emanates due to cybernetic enhancement. Her joints are also cybernetic to give her incredible flexibility. She wears a fabric armor other that typical combat armor, which is pure black with red patterns going along her back and limbs. She also wears a cowl when on missions, though she will take the cowl off when on the ship.
Moral alignment:
She has no definitive moral alignment that can be described through technicality, though she can be considered neutral renegade. her motives are unknown by anyone, and seems to desire to serve no one but herself. She approves of the player committing brutal acts of cold decisions that contribute to only the mission, and doesn't mind about collateral damage as she sees it as a "necessity for the success of the mission".
Detreen distrusts her.
Tolyan avoids her.
J0K3R will try to use humor to break the ice with her, though this is quickly shown to be futile.
Wrolg understands her focus on objective over current ethics, though he distrusts her.
Neon finds her strangely alluring, though Polanis quickly shuts her off.
Kheera is afraid of her.
Shaun tries to spy on her, but she notices and threatens to "flay him" if he tries again. He doesn't.
"death dealer" tries to compete with her due to biotics, but she states that if he tries to compete with her she will "blast his little suit open before he can even say biotic-god"
combat:
She can use annihilation field to harm those who try to oppose her. Dark sphere will be used to prime detonations or detonate itself causing massive damage. lift grenade can be used to suspend people in the air. Her loyalty skill is power surge, where she gather focus and then ricochets between enemies (this acts as a biotic charge that hits between enemies. Think pin-ball)
She has moderate durability and uses pistols and custom combat blades.
Loyalty mission:
She will eventually find out that the STG group has been working on a focus-enhancer that improves biotic ability. She will come up to the player saying that she feels the focus-enhancer will improve her ability to contribute on missions.
The player will have to land on a toxic planet, hence why the player will have to recharge their breather masks that protect them from the toxins leaking into their system. The PC and Polanis will discover a cave-formation that leads to a secret underground base, and the PC will assume this is blind luck. The PC and Polanis will have to fight through progressively heavier resistance (Biotic salarians) and once getting halfway to the objective, a dialogue sequence will occur where Polanis will admit that the real reason why she knew where the cave was is because it was where they experimented on her, and that they were attempting to brainwash her which was why she really escaped. If questioned why she is telling the PC now, she will admit that she thought the galaxy was hopeless and that she would never know anyone she could trust until she joined the pathfinder. the pathfinder can either scold her for not telling him/her this before the mission or state that the appreciate that she is being honest with them and re-assure her they will get payback.
Eventually, when they get to a small lab, they will see a bunch of STG scientists trying to restrain a Salarian child while trying to inject her with a brainwashing chip. the PC and Polanis will intervene (killing them) and the Salarian girl will thank the player and Polanis for their help. she will admit that she doesn't know her own name and that they have been doing this to her from birth. polanis will emphasize and will ask the PC to get a crew member to escort her to the ship, which the PC does. They then continue their way to the main labs where they encounter an old Salarian who had actually been the main scientist who had experimented on polanis, referring to her as "subect 19x" explaining that she was his favorite experiment and that he knew she had potential to become the ultimate killing machine. Polanis will lose composure and then launch a dark sphere at him, exploding and tearing him apart. They will then start searching for the focus-enhancer, finding it and gaining Polanis' loyalty.
When getting on the ship, the young salarian biotic will be ffound in Polanis' quarters. Polanis will then come to the PC's cabin and ask him whether she can be a good mother to the child, where the player can either say; "i think this can be a new chance for you or do you seriously think that's a good idea?".
If she was encouraged, she will adopt the child and tutor her on controlling her biotics, as well as mentioning that she has decided to try to go over a new leaf, and improve her relationship with all crew members. This will cause her ton drop her cold exterior and she will play a more maternal role on the ship. This will even cause the other biotic crew members to occasionally help Polanis tutor her new "daughter". she will be more trusting of the player and others and even talk about her "kiri" (she names her daughter Kiri) on missions, showing that she has found an entirely new purpose in life and is happier than she has ever been.
if she was discouraged, she will mention how she found a happy family for the young salarian and the the PC was right and that it would have never worked out. She will be more trusting of the player but will maintain her cold exterior.
romance:
If she adopted kiri, she can be romanced by either gender as well as only offering a committed relationship as she wants kiri to grow up with happiness and not chaos. Also, she will not be totally lustful as Salarians have no sex-drive, and that she wants to give a good impression on Kiri.
If she didn't adopt kiri, no romance option will be available
^ I like this guy. Very impressive well thought out character maybe you try writing a story for her. I be very interested I'm sure others will be. But remember to be careful you don't want people stealing your stuff.
thanks, i have a fanfic account yet haven't started writing. May consider this, but we don't have any Andromeda Lore and i'm scared of formulating something wrong
. Also, I'm trying to figure out my next idea. Any suggestions ![]()
Female salarian/turian/krogan/drell, male quarian and asari who claims she's first male of her specie (she's lying but everyone pretends they believe her). Also, since we had dog in DA, can we get Varren? Ah, rachni would be cool. So many ideas.
How about an alien from Andromeda that becomes a squadmate?
Name: Mesa vas olanbi- infiltrator
Species: quarian
background synopsis:
Mesa was raised in a typical flotilla, where he was raised by his mother. His father was a civilian captain that was assassinated when Mesa was 6 (not by Polanis). He was introvert and always tended to navigate though crowds without notice. He eventually became obsessed with weapons and ways of assassination, which was possibly offset by his father's death. He eventually came of age and went on his pilgrimage, which was his opportunity to get revenge, which he quickly achieved. he went on to complete his pilgrimage and was given the role of exploration captain of the Olanbi, yet despite his accomplishments, he felt incomplete and instead left the fleet by faking his death to live a new life. He ends up working as a smuggler/assassin on the lawless hub, where the player must disrupt his operation to grab his attention. This leads to the player and squad to having to defeat an angry Mesa, which can either end up with the player recruiting him by saying "You can be useful with us." or just plain shoot him in the face (if shotgun is equipped, his entire head will be destroyed).
Personality:
Uncharacteristic for a Quarian, Mesa stands by a phrase "dedicating yourself to others is nothing more than following a lamb to the slaughter". If asked why he believes this, he will suddenly seize all conversation. If asked about family his voice will coldly drift "I had one. once." Being in his 30's (36 to be exact), he has many experiences and only gives technical details without any emotion.
Appearance:
Mesa wears a pure black Quarian enviro-suit with a sleeker design (e.g. his helmet has no cables going from the back, less baggy, no cowl) with an open black leather overcoat.
Moral alignment:
Mesa is conflicted, and thus can be class as true neutral leaning onto neutral good. He approves of family-oriented choices yet also approves of avoiding combat when necessary, or at least to distract the enemy when possible so that Mesa can launch a surprise attack.
-He gets along amazingly with Shaun
-Kheera feels antagonized and angered by Mesa as she feels that he is a "traitor of the people"
-J0K3R successfully humors Mesa
-Neon thinks of him as a curiosity, and dislikes curiosities
-Detreen thinks he has made mistakes yet decides not to judge him once loyal
-"death dealer" and Mesa are indifferent to eachother
-Wrolg isn't judgmental of Mesa as he is also dubbed as a traitor to his people
-Tolyan feels intimidated by Mesa's cold demeanour
--Polanis is understanding of Mesa as she also felt the need to escape from her people
Combat:
Mesa focuses on taking out enemies in quick flurries of unexpected surprise attacks and enhancing his damage output. He uses tactical cloak as a typical navigation tool. Marksman is his key utility to enhance his fire-rate, precision, and weapon damage. Tactical scan further enhances the damage done to a specific enemy as well as revealing their specific weaknesses. His loyalty skill is Disruption rounds.
He uses custom dual pistols and a sub-machine gun
Loyalty mission
Mesa will hack into the Olanbi frequency to hear that they are being attacked by Batarian slavers. He will request to assist the Olanbi and reveal that his mother is still living aboard. He will leave if the Olanbi is not assisted within 1 mission, and leave a message saying: I don't care about whatever reasons you had. My mother is dead, and my old crew-mates are slaves. I hope you're proud of what you've allowed, I have to clean this mess now. Too bad. I considered you a comrade, but at least you've taught me a lesson: You are the lambs, and I am the slaughter. I hope that you live through your "suicide mission". I wouldn't miss the opportunity to finish you off myself. Good luck pathfinder, eventually it will run out.
If you do go to assist the Olanbi, you will be faced with multiple batarian enemies, and will have to fight through the Olanbi with Mesa until you make it to a hallway full of living cubicles. PC and Mesa will have to search the rows of cubicles until you find a dying quarian woman, who is mesa's mother. She will gasp and cry as she thought Mesa was dead, and she will tell him that she has no hope for her survival. Mesa will try to sway her thinking and even use all his and the PC's medi-gel reserves to try and improve her odds, but she will say she has lost too much blood and probably has an infection. She will ask Mesa to be her "angel and set her free". The PC can either let Mesa shoot her, or the PC will mention how "nobody should have to kill their parents. I'll do it" and the PC shoots her instead. Mesa then emotionally detaches completely and follows the player without comment. The batarian leader will see both the PC and Mesa and say "an eye for an eye", revealing the the assassin that had killed Mesa's father and then Mesa had killed was his mother, and that he was finishing the family of "suit rat scum" and that he can now "completely stop it from re-pollinating." The PC and Mesa will kill the leader, and they will silently go onto the ship. Mesa then decides to attempt suicide by holding a pistol to his head, saying that he no longer has anything to live for. The PC can either persuade him by telling him that they are always there for him, disarm him roughly by knocking him unconscious, or let him pull the trigger. He is removed from the squad (due to the bullet in his head, duh.) But if he was saved, then he will thank the player for showing him the irrationality of his actions, and his loyalty will be secure.
Squadmates will be more sympathetic towards him, especially Neon and Shaun. He will also trust the player enough to tell them about his past and family, and what he would have wanted to say to his mother if not for her untimely death.
Romance:
Mesa can be romanced by only either gender, and will only want a physical relationship (despite weak immune system) at the start but will eventually grow feelings for more, which can be split off by the player (doesn't affect loyalty)
I really hope BW includes a male Drell. That's all I want; a Drell of any class. The rest of the crew selection can be whatever. I don't care if there's even a bikini wearing Elcor on board, as long as there's a male Drell for the female protagonist (or for both).
Name: Elias Pavlisi-soldier
Species: Human
Background synopsis:
being in the alliance from the start, Elias was raised on one ship to the next as his parents were highly prestigious in first contact with the Khet, and were both awarded with medals of Valor. Being descended from a family of such military prestige meant high expectations were a known yet unspoken doctrine, which resulted in him being a soldier to the core. Along the line of service, he was married and had a daughter, but his wife died of terminal illness and his daughter is now being cared for by her aunt/ his sister. Having many alliance platitudes drilled into him has shaped him to be a by-the-book militarist, which resulted in him being the perfect candidate for the pathfinder's initiative . He is with the player from the start.
Personality:
Being influenced by military doctrines from the start, he is humble and respectful, but not silent when he feels that the player is committing actions that go against the typical soldier code. While respectful, he is slightly afraid/intimidated by biotics, saying "they don't even need a gun commander. It's...unnatural" and if the player is biotic he will quickly say No offense um, commander. You're an exception". If asked about this fear, he will tell the PC how he was raised to believe that Biotics were corrupt and will also mention his belief in grossly exaggerated rumors on biotics. The PC can either correct him and tell him how biotics aren't able to "read minds", cause earthquakes, or kill with a mere thought OR can exaggerate even further, which causes him to be more on guard (except from when with the PC). He also talks about his daughter on occasion and harbors paternal advice for the player.
He is nervous around biotic squadmates and openly avoids them.
He is on relatively relaxed around everyone else, and favors J0K3R for banter.
Appearance:
being from a typical greek background, he has olive skin and keeps his black hair neatly cut into a buzz cut, while maintaining a neatly trimmed beard of similar black coloring. He has strong features including a well defined nose. He has brown eyes and is a relatively muscly (yet not too bulky) build. He is 5"8
On missions he wears black hahne kadar armor with silver stripes going down the back. On the ship he wears a white tight tank top and blue tracksuit bottoms with standard reg alliance boots.
Moral alignment:
Elias is indefinitely lawful good as he believes in self-sacrifice for the greater good and the player performing good deeds for the sake of helping people. He also prefers direct assaults that give him the upper hand. He disapproves of selfish decisions or harming innocents and if done too much, he may even try to intervene by saying saying that the mission may be in jeopardy or that the target may be useful
Combat:
He uses carnage to cause damage on enemies as well as prime or detonate incendiary detonations. Frag grenades are a typical crowd-clearing utility Elias pulls from his arsenal. Incendiary ammo can also be used to provide bonus damage, panicking on unprotected enemies or even prime incendiary detonations if upgraded in that specific tree. Adrenaline rush is his loyalty skill and slows down time for him and increasing accuracy and damage per bullet. If consecutively hit damage enhancement can stack.
Loyalty mission:
Elias will simply ask the player to take him onto a colony world where his sister is staying with his daughter, and masks any insecurity or uncertainty. When the PC and Elias arrives onto the colony planet, he will lead you into a medium-sized house where his sister Koula will amiably welcome Elias and question the PC's presence. Elias is heard whispering "it's okay, he/she's with me. We can talk about it". They will then suddenly reveal that the real reason why Elias led you here was because his daughter is suspected to be a biotic and that neither of them know how to approach her about the topic. The player will then have to go upstairs with Elias to try to get a confession out of his daughter. This will lead to a quick cutscene where Elias' daughter Adrianna will run to him and hug him. From there the attempt to get the confession can go multiple ways:
-the PC is hospitable with Adrianna and Elias is calm- They get a confession that she threw a varren after it tried to attack her and her friends
-PC was confrontational and Elias was calm-Get a strained confession that ends up in Adrianna speaking to Elias alone
-Both were confrontational- Adrianna sends a shockwave at them and the PC either stuns her (paragon) or shoots her to death (renegade)
if she is alive then Elias will be loyal, if not, he will leave the party and will even appear as a boss battle along with the final antagonist.
If loyal, he will be more trusting of the PC and squadmates. He will even become more hospitable towards biotic squadmates, even cooking for them saying "if they have to eat extra to keep going, they may aswell enjoy a bit of the greek while doing it!" Biotic squadmates (even a cold polanis) will grow a soft spot for him.
romance:
Elias will respond to flirtations from a female PC and even sleep with them yet after that he will show regret by saying that he is loyal and devoted to his dead wife, and that he wants to close the relationship. Regardless of how the player responds to this, he will still close off the relationship.

I hope BW will never ever include a this kind of character in MEA, especially after Thane and Jacob (who I don't even like). I can just imagine playing something like half the game or almost the whole game and then getting that handed out to you. Then you would have to stop there and start a whole new playthrough... I definitely would. That would seriously suck. And that would also make it minus one LI for the female protagonist. No thank you.

1) he's not intended to be a "lasting half way through the playthrough" type, he is meant to be a brief fling.
2) that's why it's just an idea
3) I only made that sort of brief romance to add variety, not to trigger anyone's s*** alarm
Still, thanks for the constructive criticism. ![]()
Hanar female very stereotypical religious well spoken. If you pass her loyalty mission she will tell you her soul name. She doesn't care much for money so if you make choices based on money she will judge. She doesn't rub her religious beliefs in people's face but does judge a little.
Not sure if I go with romantic option but why not so, if you do romance her the scene takes place under water and you're like dancing with her under the sea.
I haven't really thought of a backstory though, see I was thinking that she escaped a cult.

<<In a Hanar voice>>
This one thinks that the idea posed by Degrees1991 is most excellent. It thinks that the Hanar in question may have escaped a cult that was straying from the teachings of the Enkindlers and decided that she should bring these blasphemous individuals to their death. The loyalty mission could be to locate the evildoer Hanar cult and when the leader of the cult is discovered, she would quote Blasto, the mythical hero of ancient times, and end it by saying "Enkindle This!"

Sorry, didn't mean to sound pissed off or anything. But still, no matter how brief fling it would be, it would still take a place from another more meaningful LI.
Change it to a male protagonist's female human LI, who's mourning her dead husband and I'll be okay with it. ![]()
Name: "Drone"-Engineer
Species: Hard-light projected humanoid
Background synopsis:
A data cache that has been heavily guarded by the alliance for centuries, Drone was part of a VI project from a bunch of black-box operatives with links to a mysterious corporation. Eventually, the corporation went public with the name "black star" and launched multiple terrorist attacks on Asari ships because they felt that they had hidden secrets as to why they have such advanced technology in comparison to other races. This lead on to mass controversy for a few months and political backfire as the other races soon realized that while black star was an extremist group, they had a highly valid point. for months there was political unrest, yet to no success as black star was soon caught out in their grand scheme to overthrow the Asari. When multiple alliance squadrons had infiltrated and destroyed the black star base, they had stumbled across the data cache, which was then experimented on by the Alliance. Eventually, drone was able to manifest itself outside of the cache and into a hard-light humanoid figure. The alliance then code-named it "drone", yet decided to imprison it in a storage archive.
Hundreds of years later (in the mass effect: Andromeda timeframe) the pathfinder will come across this archive and release the virtual shackles (the information needed is compulsory to the main story-line anyhow) and Drone will appear. the player can question it for the info needed, and drone will have the info stored on it. The player will have to bring drone on the ship until the info is extracted, from then on the player will receive an email from the alliance saying that if they give drone to them they will reward the player (if the player sells drone, they get a hefty amount of credits), but if not, drone will stay aboard the ship.
Personality:
Being a VI, Drone has no distinctive personality other than to provide information for the player whenever asked for it. If the player asks Drone about it's possibility to become sentient, in which it will say "no data available" or "that information is undisclosed, pathfinder". It walks with every movement being precise not to waste energy, and no hand or facial gestures other than neutral/blank expressions.
Drone will have no distinctively special relationship with anyone but J0K3R, stating that he is a anomalous presence on-board
Appearance:
drone is a yellow/orange hard light projection of a generic human [male] without genitals yet has a masculine voice. It can also transform into the form of a combat drone whenever it "wants" (this term is used very loosely) and can sometimes be seen floating about the ship. It is roughly 5"10.
Moral alignment:
Drone is true neutral, with no view on right or wrong as those terms are an organic belief that it simply does not hold. It does however, give the PC advice when they seem to make an illogical choice that defies general calculus (whether renegade or paragon).
Combat:
Drone can deploy an explosive drone which causes an electrical explosion (like a group overload yet more powerful than the chain predecessor). It can use sabotage to hack AI enemies and/or disable weapons. Drone can also use cryo blast to freeze unprotected enemies in place or at least slow down shielded/armored ones. Its loyalty skill is light shield where a frontal circular shield that covers Drone (and can cover squad mates if in a certain radius) has actually slow down enemy bullets using resultant forces emitted by a hard-light mass effect field that can either deflect bullets back at enemies or gather the bullets into the squad's ammunition reserves.
His durability is pure shields, yet they are high, and he has no health bars (as he is just hard-light).
He uses pistols and a specially formed hard-light assault rifle that shoots heavy-mass hard light fragments that shred through enemies.
Loyalty mission:
The PC will get an email from an encrypted server saying We know you have our little "project", and that the Alliance has really paid an interest in it. Don't get too cocky, we have a little surprise in store for you. TM.
When asked about who this TM is, Drone will say "Accessing information...information is blocked. data has been gathered that this TM is affiliated with corporation: BLACK STAR. i have files on this group. Lats entry: 200 years ago. You and i should proceed this carefully. No accurate calculation of what actions TM may take can be calculated with just this data" Within 1-2 missions after reading this email, an urgent distress call from asari high command will desperately have a message broadcasting how they have been attacked, they have no way of escaping, and need urgent assistance.
If not done with 3 missions the mission will be closed and an email will be received stating: It seems you were too late to see our surprise, but at least we have another one. As soon as you close this, Drone's self-destruct sequence will initiate. I hope you've had fun with our little "project". We have our conclusions, have you got yours pathfinder? TM
The player will then rush to Drones usual quarters, and find that he is still there. Throughout the conversation, Drone seems fine, but as it progresses he eventually starts to show true emotion, showing that he has also turned into a sentient AI. When the conversation ends, he will say one last line: It was an honor (player's first name). I hope you find what you're looking for. He then seizes to exist, and he is removed from the party.
If (on the more likely basis) the player helps the asari dreadnought, they will intervene (via crash landing) in the middle of a battle between the asari and human soldiers in dark grey armor, and a black Shuriken-like symbol on the base chest piece. The PC will then engage in conversation with the Asari commandos left after the battle, saying that they need assistance and that asari civilians & diplomats are under the threat of being killed. the player can either personally go and save the Asari with drone at risk of the Black star being more prepared and therefore quite a bit more difficult to defeat OR go straight to the black star leader making it so that he is less prepared yet the asari will die.
When making to it to the main control room, an alabaster man (who seems to have albinism) will calmly say and so we meet, pathfinder. Which means that he is revealing himself as TM. If the PC asks who TM is and knows about Drone he will mention how he is his creator and if the player states that humans cannot live for 200 years TM will casually mention how he Used a few naughty life enhancers to get by.
If the asari were saved he will have turrets rigged around the map while also having increased shields, yet asari commandos will surprisingly come to your aid by destroying turrets and staggering TM with biotic attacks.
If they were sacrificed, he will have only half shield and no turrets.
Before death, he will say tap a code that causes drone to detonate, and then he dies.
When the player goes onto the ship to grieve, they see a small flickering light in the corner of their eye, and it turns out that drone had stored a self replicating segment on your omni-tool, saying You were the only person i could trust to store my-self with. the player will notice how he said trust and Drone will reveal that in avoiding being totally self-destructed his personality shackles were destroyed, meaning that he has officially become self-aware.
He ill reveal this to the other crew-mates and his loyalty will be secured.
His moral alignment will bend towards whatever moral alignment the player follows, and hates to see VI's as he feels they are trapped against their will meaning that he will approve of when the PC protects non-hostile synthetics.
He will also improve his relations with all squadmates and will even develop personal jokes/banter with each of them.
Romance:
He cannot be romanced.
Name: Varza Kamarim- adept
Species Turian
Background synopsis:
Being descended from a disgraced turian family that committed an act of treason centuries before Varza was born, she was treated like an outcast and the isolation she had to endure was intensified as even her family rejected her upon the emergence of her biotic abilities. She joined the cabals out of desperation, but her thought salvation turned out to be her prison, as she and her abilities were grossly under-utilized. She left the cabals and searched for a place where she wouldn't be judged, and she found that place of no judgement on the new krogan homeworld, and was eventually accepted into the clan of urdnot, as well as being trained to hone her abilities by urdnot Kurrek; a krogan shaman.
She will be recruited when the player saves a krogan colony ship, and the urdnot leader sends Varza as an honor guard, to which she happily complies as the player is "one of the few that are willing to risk their lives for a race that has been judged by many"
Personality:
Varza is surprisingly open about her experiences and also shows pity for the turians' stigma on biotics and her family background by saying something along the lines of I don't feel anger at my fellow brothers and sisters. They are taught to pounce upon those who don't have "perfect family lineages" or are different from the norm (biotics) and i find this, in total honesty, quite sad. The player can either enforce her beliefs by saying Maybe one day you can make them understand or the complete opposite by saying They're a lost cause, don't try justifying your potential to them. embrace it. If the PC tries to make her more hostile to the turians she will completely brush off that comment by saying that the player is wrong and that there is still hope for the turian race. if you encourage her morals, she will say that you're one of the few that understand her and that hopefully one day there will be others like you.
She also holds krogan beliefs over honor over turians', but also disagrees with their bloodthristy nature.
She:
Finds neon too self-absorbed yet tolerates it once loyal
Idolises Wrolg as he is a krogan that diagrees with bloodshed as much as she does
Feels uneasy around shaun and polanis
Establishes a stable friendship with detreen
Dislikes J0K3R as he makes jokes about her and krogan
Finds death dealer a worthy challenger and she happily competes with him in the simulated arena part of the ship.
Tries to encourage tolyan to become clean, when both are loyal he will be completely clean, yet it will take longer if the player didn't try to persuade him to go clean in conversations.
She acts as a wise older sister for Kheera by trying to boost her confidence and through this bond with kheera eventually becomes friends with neon because of this, acting like a duo of sisters for her.
She shows pity for Elias due to his fear of biotics yet when both loyal she will devlop a stable friendship with him.
She shows neither like nor dislike for mesa.
She finds drone annoting, but likes him when he becomes self-aware.
Appearance:
with a typical female turian appearance, she is a dark brown in terms of skin colours, with her facial carapace painted white. She will also have a vertical scar going down the middle of her face where she will casually mention how a volus assassin managed to throw a blade in her face. If asked about this further, she will laugh how such a tiny opponent was able to get a critical strike on her and also say honestly, who uses throwing knives nowadays? and then chuckle. She wears red cloth armor like any standard turian cabal with varren-skin padding on the shoulders and joints.
Moral alignment/approval:
varza is true peaceful, as she favors pro-unity choices made by the player, even if they go against pure Turian interests, and believes that talking is a mechanism that can be used to end conflicts and not conventional violence, hence why she will also approve of the PC trying to end arguments with words and not going straight into combat. She disapproves of violence being a simple means to an end as well as holding racist attitudes (to any race)
Combat:
Varza has rather flexible biotic roles such as using stasis to immobilize enemies and prime biotic detonations. She uses a modified form of shockwave that has smaller radius yet longer range and higher power. Lash is her main means of bringing enemies towards her while also causing damage. Her loyalty skill is torpedo where she throws a biotic missile which instead of simply causing explosive damage, while instead leave a center point that emits a repelling force in a certain radius (that can be upgraded) that throws enemies away from that point with bone-crushing force. (Torpedo also causes a throw effect on enemies upon initial detonation.)
Loyalty mission:
Varza will be noticeably depressed/upset, and Kheera will ask the player to see what is wrong with her. She will confess to the player that she is upset because she just received the message that urdnot kurrek was killed, and that she wants to redeem his honor by getting vengeance on the assassin that killed him. The player will have to travel to multiple hubs and go to multiple different information brokers that can be either persuaded or paid to provide vague information on who the assassin is. The first two are the ones that will have to be persuaded or bribed, but the third will be an asari who simply gives the information from seemingly good will. Nice huh? Anyways, the player and PC will be led to a tropical planet on the edge of the system, where a volus in a red pressure suit will come out saying "we meet again" which Varza quickly exclaims "it's you.". The Asari information broker who gave you the information will also come out from the shadows and say "Nice to see that you've brung a friend. It would be a little boring knowing that it's a two on one, don't you think?" The PC can ask them why the volus killed Kurrek, where he will respond "this turin b**** ruined my contract. I became a mockery among my organisation*volus wheeze* now my contract will finally be restored. All thanks to you pathfinder.". The Asari will also add in "and i'll get a pretty bounty reward for also helping to flay both you and that bird-faced groupie b**** to smithereens." The volus will then add "leave their heads for me. i need a good trophy to prove my winnings.". This will then lead to a boss-fights where the volus will use energy drain, cloak, and combat drone attacks while the Asari will follow up with warps, shockwaves and biotic charges. The PC and Varza will then have to kill both of them and when they are defeated, Varza will mutter "Your honor is restored master"
After killing the assassin and broker, the PC can accompany Varza to Kurreks' funeral (but loyalty is unaffected, regardless of whether the PC attends or not) If the PC comes, Varza will thank the PC for being so supportive and if not, she will state that "I found peace". Her loyalty is then secured.
romance:
Varza can be romanced by either gender. She is happy with a committed relationship yet can also be persuaded to instead be a casual romance, as she will reveal that she had once had the same sort of "sex-only" relationship with Kurrek for a short time.
Human Nordic female; Earthborn; Renegade; mixed Soldier/Tech. Age 28-30, muscular, attractive and deadly.
Aye, definitely romance'd that warmaiden.
Name: Isabelle Gurin- "war maiden" vanguard
Species: human
Background synopsis:
She has a long family lineage of war generals in the alliance and her life was no different. She was educated in combat and is biotic (hence her class assignment of vanguard). While originally starting off as a war tactician, she felt that her true place was on the battlefield. She has fought dozens of huge battles against multiple foes, from Khet to Krogan (earning her the name "war maiden in the process), and knows all tactics against any opponent. She shows no quarter in battle, and possesses ferocity which equals that of a Krogan.
She decided to join the pathfinder initiative to find the biggest fights, and that's what she expects. (she is with the player from the start.)
Personality:
Isabelle is a hardy woman who is friendly with the player and has no consideration for formalities. She will also show a (not so slight) obsession with shotguns and is often found in the armory cleaning her shotgun, but if not, then she can be found working out at the gym.
-She gets along with "death dealer" due to their competitive natures
-She is disgusted with Tolyan when he is drug addicted as his constant drug-use could "disrupt his ability to fight" once he goes clean, she congratulates him and they develop a strong battle-bond
-She tries to toughen Kheera up both physically by trying to get her to work out at the gym, and mentally by talking about her particularly gory battles. This doesn't work. Eventually she forms a maternal bond over Kheera and if the player romances her, she will tell them to "take care of her well, or you've got me to deal with."
- She disregards Shaun due to his introvert nature.
-She finds neon funny
-She loves J0K3R due to his sense of humor
-She finds Detreen too serious
-She completely ignores drone and instead calls him "jibber jabber"
-She forms a competitive friendship with Elias and can even be seen competing with him in the gym.
-She tries to relate to Wrolg as he is a krogan, yet is surprised to find that he is generally docile, and then finds him interesting
-She finds polanis too extreme
-She likes Mesa's differentiation from his race but nothing else
-She likes varza's ferocity with her biotics.
Moral alignment:
War maiden is a neutral chaotic neutral and she prefers when direct routes of combat are taken due to her ferocity. She will also like when the player takes a more straight-forward "to-the-point" approach in dialogue. She dislikes the player lying unless it is for combat advantage.
appearance:
She has dirty-blonde colored hair and pretty features yet she also has a muscular (yet still feminine) build with rather big um....attributes. She towers over most at 5"11 and has relatively light skin. She also has a russian accent (hence her russian ancestry). She wears leather combat armor with a medieval-looking chestplate
Combat:
isabelle acts as as high-risk tank that aggressively rushes enemies in combat with Heavy charge (a biotic charge with higher damage yet a smaller impact radius). She also favors close range contingencies hence nova. She can use rally which acts as a battle cry that strikes fear in her enemies (reducing their damage output) and increasing the squad weapon damage. Her loyalty skill is spear is an attack where she pinpoints biotic energy into a streamlined edge of mass that she throws at enemies, impaling them and (if they aren't dead by then) bleeding damage.
she uses assault rifles and her special custom shotgun she calls boudicca.
She has very high durability (though nova is a risky move)
Loyalty mission:
Isabelle will come up to the PC in an enraged state, saying that her old regiment is under attack by a HUGE amount of Khet forces. She will ask for the PC and her to go and grant them assistance. If they aren't assisted within 2 missions, the opportunity to gain her loyalty will be lost forever, and she will tell you how her whole regiment was wiped out.
If the player goes to assist them, they will land on a muddy, rainy planet (causing an even more medieval feel). When the PC and isabelle land in their trenches, she will be enraged at the makeshift war general, saying that he is a fool and that he should let a true warrior lead the battle. isabelle then charges into battle with the PC and the whole regiment running behind them shouting "for the war maiden!", and then the PC and co will have to fight HUGE waves (hence why a whole regiment would join to help fight them off) and there will be a large number of waves that occur one after another. After the battle is (bloodily) won, she will ask the commander why they decided to combat a whole Khet battalion, and the captain will reveal that they needed to remove the Khet from the area for a strategic advantage. War Maiden will then aim her shotgun at his head. The whole regiment that was once hers will aim their guns at her, indicating that they trust their new captain more than her. the PC can either get War Maiden to stand down, or persuade her to blow the captain's head off. If she does, then the whole regiment will turn on her and the PC and they will have to kill them all themselves. This will gain War maiden's loyalty, but she will have guilt about having to kill a regiment composed of people she fought as battle-brothers and sisters.
If she stands down, the captain will make a promise that he will not place her old regiment in danger again, and her and the player will leave. She will be shocked that her whole regiment threatened her, but she mentions how she would be able to destroy them all, and that she was glad that she didn't have to. her loyalty will be gained.
romance:
War maiden can be romanced by a male PC, but she wont be open to a fully committed relationship. Instead she will state that another thing to worry about is another burden, and will only be open to a purely sexual relationship. This will lead to her being a possible "booty call". But be warned; just because the player controls when it happens, they can't control HOW it happens

She sounds like Isabela from DA2. Or at least her romance does. Is that why her name is Isabelle?
In total honesty I haven't played enough DA2 to meet that character lol. Her name is isabelle Gurin because I wanted her to have particularly europian ancestry (french and russian) lol
I really hope BW includes a male Drell. That's all I want; a Drell of any class. The rest of the crew selection can be whatever. I don't care if there's even a bikini wearing Elcor on board, as long as there's a male Drell for the female protagonist (or for both).
I feel you.
But let's be honest: why would they come? They have trouble in wet enviroments and their species is disappearing. And can BioWare make him as cool and whole as Thane? I doubt.
