Name: Rana Silaris-Ardat-yakshi adept

species: Asari

Background synopsis:

Rana's parents killed in the reaper war, and grew up as an orphan who underwent physical and mental abuse from ex-commandos. At around 150 years old, she decided to retaliate and resulted in Rana just-about winning when her fellow orphans decided to help get revenge for the abuse she put them all through. The last surviving ex-commando ended up begging for her life, and Rana discovered she was an Ardhat-Yakshi when she melded with her abuser and killed her. Instead of running like many Ardhat-yakshi do, she accepted her fate in hoping that she could redeem herself. She was transferred to a monastery and from then on has been resisting her condition. Eventually, the monastery she was living in comes under attack by batarian pirates in hoping that they can use the Ardhat-Yakshi as a form of ransom.

From then the PC gets a distress call from a panicked Asari voice, where the player can then go to the monastery from any point in the game.

After fighting a group of batarian pirates who were trying to hack into a lock room, the room door will open and a terrified, crying Rana will beg the player not to hurt her. A sympathetic player will hold onto her while she cries, but a squad member will intervene and say something along the lines of "she's an Ardhat-Yakshi commander, how do we handle this?", from that point the PC can question her about her condition, and she will be fully honest. From then on the player will recruit her.

Personality:

Rana is an extremely socially shy/afraid person in account to mental scarring caused by the abuse she endured as well as her lack of social exposure due to her secluded life at the monastery. She is also very reserved and tries to avoid people in general. She is also focused on redemption, as she is constantly resisting the urges that come alongside her condition, making her a truly inspirational person, even if many people think otherwise. Rana is an altruist an does not hesitate to protect those she believes innocent. She is fiercely loyal to those who she trusts and treats her like an equal. If the PC treats her as a normal member of the crew and without suspicion then she will show a lot more attentiveness in conversation and will even share certain thought and feelings about a multitude of subjects; from morality to whether the PC truly trusts her. Being young at only 136, she has a natural curiosity to see new environments and even takes picture of them with her omni-tool occasionally when not in combat

-she is distrusted by: Polanis, Neon, Elias, Isabelle, Mesa, Detreen, Tolyan, wrolg, death dealer, shaun

-She is trusted by J0K3R, Kheera, Drone

Once loyal, she will be trusted by all and some squadmates may even apologise to her due to initial distrust and even rudeness/social exclusion.

Appearance:

She is deep blue with blue eyes. She has a white face marking that acts as a vertical line that convers the middle of the top and lower lips. She has scarring on her head fringe and arms, hence why she wears full justicar-like armor without the head piece.

On the ship she wears a simple asari dress (like those worn by Rila & Falere in ME3)

Moral alignment/approval:

Rana is lawful good as she believes that anyone should be given a second chance and heavily disapproves of the PC senselessly killing people who can easily be spared. She gets upset when people who have the opportunity to walk away from conflict attack her and the player and will even be seen speaking an Asari prayer for those who had the chance for redemption yet rejected it.

Combat:

Rana favors attacks that focus on single enemies by using reave as a form of priming detonations while also causing the enemy to stagger. pull is her motive of getting tactical advantage by making explosive containers float enemy groups, grabbing an enemy (or multiple enemies if pull's radius is upgraded), and can even be detonated. singularity can also be used to pluck enemies from behind cover, or stagger them if protected by shield, armor, or barriers. Her loyalty skill is dominate.

Loyalty mission:

An ardhat yakshi going by the name of Petra, who has caused a body count that has hit the double digits (47 to be exact). Rana states that she has been tracking the Asari's movements and believes that the Asari is still open to redemption. The PC and Rana will have to go to euphoria (the night club that neon is recruited in) as this is the Ardhat Yakshi's hunting grounds. Rana gives information to the PC that petra is particular attracted to Asari, and that she will have to play the role of an unknowing victim. Conveniently enough, a group of 4 Krogan will be harassing the bartender. Rana will challenge the Krogan to a fight on the dance floor, and this will cause everyone in the club to watch on the sidelines while the PC and Rana have to single handedly fight the krogan without weapons. Thankfully, they are quite inebriated and attack clumsily. (note: PC's of biotic or tech classes have the advantage, as they have tech powers yet if the PC is a soldier then they instead get QTE moments instead as they are weapons oriented and therefore have to rely on melee attacks). Petra will then ask Rana and the Player if they want to go to the VIP section of the club to, "find some fun". When they find a couch to sit on in the VIP section, Rana will casually reveal how she knows who, and what, she is. This will cause Petra to suddenly attack the PC and Rana, causing a fight sequence (soldiers get QTE) while the crowd screams and runs away in multiple directions erratically. When Petra gets at 50% health, she will forcefully meld with Rana, not knowing that Rana is also an Ardhat Yakshi. Rana initiates a meld herself on Petra, causing Petra to go full maniac mode. (For a soldier, the QTE will be longer).

At the end of the fight, Rana will try to persuade Petra to try and redeem herself. If the PC enforces Rana's argument efficiently, Petra will decide it is time for redemption. If not enforced efficiently, then Petra will launch on more futile attempt to biotically repulse the player and Rana away, but rana will stop this by melding with the asari one more time to efficiently kill her by frying her nervous system and causing brain hemorrhages. Rana's loyalty will be secured regardless of the outcome, yet she will be more remorseful of the result.

For lore purposes, she will gain an extra 3 ability/upgrade points if she melded Petra to death as the Ardat-Yakshi becomes stronger, faster, and more resilient with each meld, therefore it would make more sense if she gains more ability points to assign if she melded fully.

Romance:

She can be flirted with, but she will eventually apologize and explain that if she tries to achieve a romance with him/her, she can end up killing them. She says "I know, I want this too. But we both know that this can never happen. Not with me like...this. Maybe if they eventually find a cure for my condition, we can both be happy. But right now. In this moment. I can't do this. I'm sorry, you know i'll always care for you." The player can then either suggest/persuade Rana that they can be in a relationship that contains abstinence. She will then speculate that "I know I just said i shouldn't do this, but then again, nobody ever got anywhere without being a little brave.". Otherwise the player can accept this initial kind rejection of the romance and the chance to romance her is lost.

I'd love to see Shiala (the green asari from ferros) as a Companion. Always thought it to be sad, that she doesn't play a bigger role. Besides her I'd like a unmasked Quarian (male of female) and a few more non combat-companions. Which we could actually interact with in a reasonable way.

Name: Sanak "lone survivor- sentinel
species: Batarian

Background synopsis:

Sanak is a man without a past. He is a name that is feared by every known (and unknown) organisation, and is known to survive missions that shouldn't be possible to survive, and is known to be the sort of guy that "just can't stay dead". He has no known cause and nothing can be found to link to what his motives are. He is even rumored to have connections to the shadow broker, yet this is heavily disputed.

He cannot be conventionally recruited via email or setting out to find him. Instead, at some point, when the player is travelling through the lawless part of Andromeda, an explosion in the ship's shuttle department will occur. The whole squad will be gathered around the breach with their weapons aimed as they "feel that someone dangerous is in here. Very dangerous". A cloud of smoke will be covering it. Sanak casually stroll through out of the smoke, but before she goes to speak, the whole squad will fire their weapons at him, but to the player and squad's surprise, the bullets will fall harmless to the floor due to a tech barrier. polanis is clearly more angry as she even tries to fir a rocket at him, which scatters the squad due to the explosion, yet comes to find sanakim unharmed. He will simply explain (in a calm voice) that he wants embark on the mission with the player and promises not to jeopardize the mission or harm the crew unless provoked.

Appearance:

Sanak is a typical brown-grey skin color with the customary four batarian eyes. Instead of conventional black eyes, they are replaced by glowing red cybernetics (he mentions how he had to replace his eyes in an emergency, and now he has enhanced vision and can see EM fields). He is a bulky build and wears silver  metallic plate armor with black highlights. He is 5"9.

personality:

Sanak prefers isolation and sets up a living space at the bottom of the ship. He maintains composure in any situation, even when it seems dire. he shows no obvious ulterior motif of the player yet he has a encountered Polanis in the past. He will openly narrate how he was the target for an assassination, and the assassin that had set out to do the job was Polanis. He will admit that it was a tough fight, ending with her sneaking an acidic spray in his eyes to escape, and resulting in him having to replace them with cybernetics. Sanak speaks in such a manner than all squadmates besides a cold Polanis are afraid of him. He simply sends shivers down the spine of everyone who dares to even be in his presence...

All squadmates are fearful of him, except Polanis who wants end him.

Notable fact: he has a pistol holstered at all times as he suspects that at one point Polanis might try to attack him, a conflict occurs between the two when both loyal (unless certain conditions are met)

Moral alignment/approval:

Sanak can be considered lawful evil leaning onto chaotic neutral. He is fond of using torture and renegade choices if they benefit the PC and squad in battle. He isn't very compassionate, therefore believing that sacrificing for those who cannot benefit the squad or mission are not worth wasting breath over. He is also strongly against the player developing any corporate ties, yet he will not explain why.

Combat:

For primary protection, sanak will use omni-sphere, which is a holographically projected sphere that covers a certain radius. The radius and strength of the sphere can be upgraded, or it can be upgraded to have an incendiary/cryo effect which inflicts damage upon those who come too close for comfort. disruption field is when a small chip is fired that causes an electrical wring/net that covers a certain radius, which can be upgraded (this is highly effective against shielded enemies and can incapitate unprotected enemies for a short time). Lift grenade is his contingency plan for suspending enemies in the air that can be detonated or shot down. His loyalty skill is burst, which is when he throws a small biotic orb (identical to a throw) that causes 5 biotic explosions simultaneously across a certain radius. Radius can be upgraded, or it can be specked in a different manner by increasing the number of biotic explosions that occur.

He uses assault rifles and pistols

he has high durability.

As you (hopefully) see, he is a character that is specialized in crowd-control.

Loyalty mission:

At some point, the PC will see Sanak in a panicked state. The PC will question Sanak over the matter. Through repeated attempts to gain information from him, he will eventually lose composure and explain that he was actually an agent of the shadow broker, and that he joined the player on the mission because he previously left the shadow broker's organization. He admits that he was actually on-edge as he felt that he needed the protection and that he knew no other place to find it. The player will ask of the relevance to why Sanak is telling you this now, and he will say that he intercepted the assignment database of the broker and that he was prioritized as a target. He will mention how an old contact of his will be able to hack into the shadow broker's database and erase this assignment for a price.

The contact will arrange a meeting place for the transaction to take place as there are complications, which Sanak claims is weird as the contact can usually handle any complication that would be to come his or her way. The player and Sanak will have to travel to an isolated garden world, where they will meet an Asari who turns out to be his contact (note to consider: Sanak has never met this contact in the flesh). She will escort you through a seemingly derelict and gargantuan cave, to a wall with many monitors. She will ask the player to start the transactions, only to find that all of their credits are gone (and it wasn't the fish). The asari will smirk for a brief at the fact that her betrayal has seemingly become anonymous, yet Sanak will hack into the players omni-tool (upon request, of course) and show how all of the credits have gone to the contact's account, meaning that the contact has actually been working for the shadow broker. The contact will admit this, and multiple shadow broker infiltrators will de-cloak, seemingly oblivious to the bomb that sanak placed on the Asari's back. The player can either warn her, making her defuse the bomb then Sanak and the player having to face all of the infiltrators as well as the Asari vanguard OR the player can listen on to the most ironic sililoquy (speech) ever made by the Asari before a beeping is heard and she explodes into chunks of raw meat and a blood haze, leaving a bunch of shaken infiltrators to be dealt with.  Either way, the Data to decrypt the shadow broker database is obtained, and sanak's loyalty is obtained.

After this, a conflict occurs between him and Polanis. The unique thing about this conflict is that whoever is sided with is the one who will survive the encounter (unless the conflict is resolved).

If Sanak is sided with, he will stun Polanis by electricuting her before blowing her up biotically, splattering green blood EVERYWHERE. Seriously. All over the player, the walls, and sanak.

If polanis is sided with, she will seemingly walk away, but will biotically dash into the room and initiate a dark sphere within Sanak, who will explode.

Note: If Polanis adopts Kiri, then instead of a conflict occurring, the player will instead walk in on them getting over their differences and instead respecting each-other.

Once loyal (and alive), Sanak will show a much more hospitable attitude towards the rest of the crew, even eventually becoming the social organizer who arranges parties on occasion.

Romance:

Sanak cannot be flirted with, and will instead look at the PC as a best friend. If Polanis is not romanced, Sanak and her will develop a relationship and they will be nicknamed "the ironic couple".

I want to try and revive this thread, so feel free to do the same!

Name: Alec boyd "scotsman"- engineer

species: Human

Background synopsis:

Alec always possessed an affinity with technology from a young age, learning a lot of theoretical knowledge by 12, and fully utilizing it by 17. While he originally wanted to work in the engineering sector, he discovered to his dis-satisfaction that he was under-estimated and from then on found his true calling in the pathfinder initiative. In his earlier years of service he earned the nickname "scotsman" due to his heavy Scottish accent and affinity for bag-piping. While he earned a few scars due to his admitted ineptness at combat when he started, he slowly made his way to becoming recognized as one of the best combat engineers in the alliance, and is now capable of holding his own. He is with the player from the start.

Appearance:

Alec is 6"1 and surprisingly muscular for an engineer. He is bald (with red hair on the sides) and has a scar going down his eye and multiple other scars on his arms and chest which he leaves bare as he wears a blank tank top and a kilt. The player can overhear him jokingly stating how the ladies can "have a look to see if he's wearing anything underneath"

In combat he wears a bulky green tank-like assortment of armor.

Moral alignment:

Alec tends to lean towards  lawful neutral, enjoying doing what's right but with efficiency. he shows a great approval for helping those who cannot defend themselves and heavily disapproves if the player exploits the weak. he also believes that excess is an unhealthy habit and that the player should only take what is necessary (he disapproves of the player stealing credits from safes etc.)

-He finds neon attractive

-He thinks kheera is too hard on herself

-He gets along with Elias swimmingly due to their pasts of servicing in the military

-he and wrolg develop a banter-like friendship over their tech specializations

-Varza and him get along

-Drone finds his bag-piping irrational (then irritating when he becomes self-aware)

-J0K3R finds him entertaining when bag-piping but has little else to say to him

-Shaun finds Alec too extrovert and patronizing

-Sanak will be indifferent to Alec

-DD will offer to collaborate a small business selling Alec's bagpipe music as "There isn't much of it on the market" Alec rejects the deal and from then on they just maintain light conversation.

-Detreen and scotsman have a rocky start due to her thievery in the past but move on past it when both loyal.

-When tolyan is disloyal and therefore an addict, he will laugh at Alec when he plays bagpipes as it "sounded like a robot he f***ed once"

-Polanis is determined to kill him "before the bag-piping drives me mad" but if she is persuaded to adopt Kiri, she will instead arrange for him to play for her on occasion. if loyal but without Kiri, she will continue to contemplate murdering him but "I guess I owe you commander, so consider me letting him live a favor repayed"

-Mesa engages in conversation with Alec but when he bag-pipes, he will use a mute function to block out the noise.

Personality:

Alec takes pride in his scottish origins, owning a pair of bagpipes that he claims his family have had for generations. He is what could be described as a jolly man, who is open about his sexual appetite (often jokingly) and will even be flirtatious towards a female PC, who can either flirt back, try to keep it proffessional, or threaten him of a violence no male would want to undergo (myself included).

while he takes pride in his bagpipes, he is also a fan of many other older forms of music (in comparative to the mass effect timeframe). He will even play certain songs during combat through a "music drone" such as Bohemian rhapsody-Queen, More than a feeling-Boston etc.

Combat:

most of alec's abilities tend to lean towards stripping defenses. Overload(shields) and Incinerate(armor) are his bread and butter for defense stripping and tech priming. He will also deploy a Sentry turret in front of him, which has its own shields. (This sentry turret is equivalent to the turrets Cerberus used in me3)-(in-built machine gun). he tends to use this for flanking and distraction. His loyalty skill is Damping which disables enemy weapons and abilities.

He uses assault rifles and submachine guns

Loyalty mission:

Alec will become increasingly frustrated, to the point where he ends up admitting to the PC that he has lost his bagpipes. The PC will have to scour the ship with Alec. Once at the shuttle bay,it will be pitch black with a beam of light shining at...what do you know...the bagpipes!

The whole squad will then appear, revealing that they pranked him. When he goes to reach out for the bagpipes, they will challenge him to sparring, one by one. The PC can either help him as a sparring tag-team or watch on the sidelines as Alec progressively beats all of them, until Wrolg comes in. Then he gets annihilated quickly by the Krogan. He retains his bagpipes either way, and his loyalty is gained, though he will mention how "you could have helped" if the PC just watched on the sidelines.

Romance:

Alec is romancible with a female PC, and will be flirtatious with her. If the PC was initially flirtatious with him before his loyalty, he will then offer to "Give her what she wants...with pleasure". From then on the PC can either tell him that she thought it was all a joke or have the sexual encounter (the screen will black out but bag-piping music can be heard)

Afterwards, they can either develop a romantic relationship or keep it physical.

His loyalty is unaffected if romance is rejected.

Name: Xiu Mei "Valkyrie"-Acrobatic vanguard

Species: Human

Background synopsis:

Xiu comes from a scarred background. Raised by an abusive father on the lawless hub, he died of drug and alcohol abuse. She was left homeless and forced to survive on the streets as a result of her father's death, where she was only 9 years old. Over the years she resorted to thievery to survive, and her skills at escaping and climbing meant that she adapted to become extremely agile . Eventually she was captured by a circus owner who would pump her full of drugs and get her to "perform" for her male guests. Due to her increasing ability to escape, and emergence of her biotic abilities, he decided that more profit would be gained by getting her to show off her acrobatic prowess at shows, to which he was actually right. From then on, Xiu was nicknamed the "valkyrie", and by 14, she was at peak condition, to the point where people thought that she used implants (she didn't).

Eventually, the PC will hear of an escpaed circus performer who has a bounty on her head, yet her age is not shown, causing the PC to explore the hub until a blood trail is found. The blood trail will lead to the PC finding Valkyrie crying and injured in an abandoned warehouse. The PC will heal her and she will follow the PC, where they will try to place her at a shelter, only for her to silently shake her head and come with the PC.

The PC will then have no choice but to take her along, the squad members trying to admonish her and talk her out of it. She is then a squad member.

Appearance:

Xiu is 5"1 (shorter than neon) and is of Chinese descent. Her features are very soft due to youth, yet she will have a small scar on her eyebrow and multiple along her arms (and she will mention more being on her back) as well as having burn marks on her legs (You won't actually see this, but Kheera can be found crying to Neon about this."Kheela, the bosh'tets have hurt her so much. I walked in to clear my filters and I saw...all those burns" *hysterical sobbing*. She is very thin and has long black hair which she tends to keep in a ponytail.  She wears an armored catsuit in combat with flexible nanide-plating to allow for her trademark flexibility and acrobatics in combat (the leather of the catsuit is black, the plating glowing turquoise). She wears no helmet.

On the ship, she will wear a checkered black flannel t-shirt over a white undershirt and black leggings with white boots. She also has a sheathe for her sword in both scenarios.

Personality:

Due to the amount of trauma she has experienced, Xiu is afraid of everyone, and generally tends to recoil when conversation is attempted. She will be completely mute for 2 missions and then she manages to engage in conversation with the less intimidating presences on the ship (Kheera, J0K3R, Neon, Rana, DD (he mentions for her to call him "uncle D" Though she refuses as "one of my clients used to ask me to call him uncle D"),Alec

Though she only speaks to those specific people, all squad members feel sorry for her and some will even approach her and ask her how she is (except for a cold polanis, who will actually adopt her if she also adopted Kir after her loyalty mission.)

Moral alignment:

Xiu disapproves of the player being abusive  towards her or the squadmates, as she will then be reminded of the abuse she has experienced earlier in her life. She approves of helping those who have been abused, as well as general paragon decisions. due to her current stage of life, she is confused in terms of moral terms, as she is trying to explore this further. The PC's morality may affect this. She also heavily disapproves of stealing due to her deep remorse and shame of her past and what she resorted to.

Combat:

Xiu is a very swift combatant, generally attacking with speed and evading attacks with acrobatics. Instead of conventional dodge-rolling, she will perform acrobatic flips and can even use enemies as leverage to flip over and kill them through quick neck snaps and breaking limbs as well as performing melee sword attacks. Biotic charge aids her in traversing between enemies with deadly force. barrier  aids her in self-preservation as she fears pain. Modified lash consists of her yanking an enemies towards herself at high speed while finishing them off by swiftly kicking them in mid-air (this can cause mid-high damage depending on upgrades and defenses of the enemies.) Biotic slash is her loyalty skill.

She uses pistols and a sword (she mentions stealing it from "a guy wearing some sort of samurai outfit" (N7 slayer))

Her durability is extremely low.

Special dialogue can be heard from the other squadmate by telling Xiu to "look away" though she will mention that "I think my whole life is a lot less than family friendly."

Loyalty mission:

Xiu will politely tell the PC that she has managed to track her old owner and has located another one of his circus shows. This mission can be done at any time before the final mission. She will mention how she has a plan to claim revenge for abusing her and sexually trafficking her earlier in her life. The PC and Xiu will go to the show in disguises, where the PC will have a small control program on their omni-tool to sabotage parts of the shows in order to increase his fear rating to a certain point. The player will have to make the flashing lights at the side of the show blow up, Electrocute the Yahg stripper by hacking his electric collar, as well as sabotaging other such acts. It will be revealed that the Asari trapeze performers have been killed by Xiu, and she will hook her voice up to the mic. She will give a speech: "What a shame that you had to hire a bunch of fakes to replace your best acrobat. THE FLYING VALKYRIE. Then again, I guess you deserve a final performance."

She then swings on the trapez directly to the rather fat owner and kicks him with the heel of her foot flat out on his nose, breaking it. She will then unsheathe her blade and cut the owner limb-by-limb in front of the crowd. She then exits the theater.

She is then loyal.

Romance:

She cannot be romanced, but will show a massive craze for Fleet and Flotilla <3

It's nothing really detailed but I would like a squadmate who is pretty family centric without the daddy or family issues drama about, having them married to an NPC on the ship would be nice and allow for some possibly cute moments like finding them hanging out on the ship together or getting a sweet 'come back safe' exchange between them if you take them out for a really dangerous mission and what not.

Something completely new like a Vorcha Biotic or a Krogan Engineer/Scientist, maybe a Volus Infiltrator, if that would work.

Just something unexpected, don't wanna see another boring Asari and a Human soldier.

Name: Arla Laerzae-Sentinel

Species: Asari

Background synopsis:

Being raised by two famous psychologists among the Asari, she developed an ingrained intuition to find out what made people tick. Unsurprisingly enough, by 160 she had multiple degrees in psychology and xenobiology. She planned to sign up as a military surgeon and general psychologist, yet her motivations took a turn for the worst when a multi-raced gang of pirates invaded the colony she lived on with her parents and ended up wiping out everyone on the colony (including her parents and sister). Her and a few others were rescued. While she was initially left with PTSD and a multitude of other disorders, she eventually synthesized a fluid which ended up damaging her brain so that she was rendered emotionless. despite lacking in emotion, she carried out her original plan, and become renowned as a highly successful field sergeant and psychologist. while this seemed to be in good intentions originally, she had developed an obsession with fear. This obsession led to her conducting experiments on unwilling subjects in order to see what caused true fear. When her the Asari high command found out, she was locked up.

the PC will recieve a call from Asari High Command asking for help as a prisoner is loose on the ship and people are either being killed outright or killing themselves. The PC will go to the military prison ship and find many Asari commandos in contorted positions or with heads blown off/with holes in them, implying bullet wounds. The player will explore the ship, only to find it desolate, leaving the character to believe that this war prisoner has escaped for good. One of the squadmates will open a giant wall-monitor to find data on this prisoner and a voice message mentioning her name. The player can then try and track the prisoner's position by triangulating their position on a galaxy map, couple with current data (Think mass effect 3: Leviathan). when the player finds the prisoner, she will say  "I've been expecting you".

From then on the player can either recruit her or say "It'll be a cold day in hell before I let a mad scientist on my ship". if she is rejected then a battle will occur where the PC and squadmates will be gassed by her fear toxin, leaving them to fight five copies plus the real Arla to succeed. when she is defeated, she can either be killed on the spot or knocked out and sent to ARKCON military prison where she can act as a scientific asset of war.

If she is accepted then she will be simply be recruited.

Appearance:

Due to her use of the chemical serum, her pigmentation is affected, rendering her of a yellow tint and green eyes. She seems to have a black facial marking (small line on her chin going down half her neck). On the ship she wears a  simple scientist uniform with grey finger-less gloves. She is 5"6 in height and her features are of a relatively angular format.

In combat she wears the scientist uniform but with armor plating on the joint, shins, center chest and shoulders. She feels no compulsion to wear a helmet or actual heavy armor as she "likes to maintain a pace."

Personality:

Arla has no emotion, so speaks at an even yet distant tone. She has a complete obsession with fear, and therefore tries to get under people's skin with subtle psychological techniques that the player can point out to her great disapproval. She tends to prefer isolation, and prefers to be left alone as she views conversation as pointless unless necessary. She is brutally honest due to a total lack of empathy, and will often give her own honest calculations. When asked about her past, she will be honest but if the player asks about her emotions and if she ever wants to feel emotion again, she will abruptly end the conversation. She can often be found on the science lab (assuming that the ship has one) either running projections or planning slight changes to the other squadmates' quarters to find indicators of their fears.

-All squadmates avoids her, except from Rana who tries to help her by trying to invite her to meditation exercises and trying to genuinely converse with her, though Arla finds this a nuisance.

Moral alignment:

Arla can be classed as neutral evil, as she will perform experiments on anyone she pleases all in the pursuit of fear. While she will perform painful experiments on innocent people, she claims that it isn't for pleasure but a "higher purpose". She approves of the player igniting fear in their enemies and disapproves when he/she is merciful.

Combat:

arla is specifically built for battlefield/enemy manipulation. Dominate is her bread and butter for turning organic enemies against their allies. Paralysis dart is used for immobilizing enemies so that she can relish the fear in their eyes before ending them. paralysis dart is not actually a dart, but a launched syringe that penetrates armor yet not shield or barriers, and completely paralyzes the enemies though it can be upgraded into the form of a grenade with a wider radius and affect multiple enemies at once. lift grenade is her highest damage ability, though it is more used as a crowd-control tool so that enemies cannot flank the team. Her loyalty ability is Fear grenade which consists of her throwing a grenade that releases an orange gas cloud that can have multiple effects:

-Enemies are not very much effected but their accuracy and speed is reduced.

-the enemies is set into a panic where they either run away or end up rocking against the floor crying.

-The enemies kill themselves.

Fear grenade can, with specific upgrades, become Fury grenades, which turns enemies against eachother while the player can simply watch. (or help speed up the battle by killing them while they're distracted.

arla has high barrier but low health.

She uses a pistol and sniper.

Loyalty mission:

arla will send the player an email stating that she has formulated a new fear toxin and has located a potential site that she canm renovate into labs with help from the player's wallet. when the labs are renovated, Arla will ask the player to help her abduct a random assortment of people to test her new toxin on, thought the player can completely disagree on this at the cost of the opportunity for her loyalty. When the "patients" are gathered, the player and Arla will watch from a one way mirror as she initiates fear gas into the valves  and the patients react.

With a paragon interrupt the player can tell her to stop. This will lead to the player suggesting she release the prisoners and he/she goes into the chamber. Arla will initially protest but eventually will agree, leading the PC to being her "patient" and being gassed, leading to the player watching their character scream as they see terrifying things from their past (depending on what the player selected) and their worst fears. the player will survive, waking up in the med bay, and Arla's loyalty will be gained.

If the player leaves the patients to suffer, they will have to watch as the patients scream and thrash, eventually freeing from their restraints and killing each other and themselves in a multitude of horrifying ways. A cutscene will occur when the player and Arla exit the site and go onto the tempest. Her loyalty will be gained.

When back on the ship, Arla and Rana will have a conflict. If the conflict isn't resolved with a high paragon/renegade, then Rana will die regardless of who the player roots for. if the player sides with Rana, she will suddenly meld in attempt to kill Arla, but will find the true meaning of fear and die of internal hemorrhages, shocking the player as Arla basically shrugged of a meld with an ardhat yakshi. Arla's loyalty will be lost.

If the player sides with Arla, rana will walk away hurt, but Arla will inject Rana in the neck with a concentrated dose of fear fluid, causing Arla to hysterically cry and scream. Arla will place a pistol in Rana's hand, gently saying "the monsters can't get you. Set yourself free." Rana will then shoot herself in the head.

if the conflict is resolved, then both will agree to avoid each other and nobody will die (yay)

Romance:

If flirted with, she will instantly and honestly state that love is something she can never feel, and she isn't interested in anything with anyone.

Aren't infiltrators more of long range combat and vanguards specializing in close quarter combat?

I don't really know. But if I was looking for two to join my A-Team, I'd want an Elcor Infiltrator and Geth Adept.

(You see, this post is funny, because, Elcor would make terrible Infiltrators due to their lumbering size and slow movement. And Geth? Those poor synthetic a-holes can't even use biotics! Hahaha, how crazy is that? A Geth Adept? What the hell have you been you smoking you crazy PoS? Seriously, get the **** out of here.)
