A battle-hardened female synthetic, who remains "undercover" as human until, one day, she saves your life and suffers some superficial tissue damage, revealing the metal parts of her arm/hand. She then proceeds to wear a glove until you finish her loyalty mission.

maybe. That just might work.

Name:  Runa- " The Enkindled"-Hanar Adept
Gender: Female (if the Hanar have genders)

Background synopsis:
The Hanar Primacy  still carried the view of the Protheans as "Enkindlers" during the reaper war. This led to them comitting a controversial decision to re-purpose a dreadnought originally meant to inhabit many Drell to instead store many Prothen artifacts in order to carry remnants of the "Enkindlers". They named this dreadnought "the Reminder of Sacred Truth" (RST)
The Hanar found a small colony planet (Rhakun). They claimed Rhakun as their own and eventually a small group (300 or so) of Hanar were able to live a relatively peaceful life. Shortly after, the RST was attacked by Batarian pirates who wanted a fortune. Before the destruction of the ship, the artifacts were voided from the ship (out of the airlock) in containment caches in hoping that they would land on planets in the Orla sub-cluster (Rhakun is in the Orla sub-cluster.) One of the artifacts landed in the colony of "soulful beauty" found on Rhakun. This artifact caused radiation sickness upon many Hanar, though most were immune. Those who did get radiation sickness found that they were able to utilize biotics, while also be discolored (They went from blue-purple to green). Runa was one of these Hanar. Runa also felt overwhelmed by being referred to as one of the "enkindled" so she left the colony in pursuit of finding a "cure" for her condition. She was instead captured and locked up as a freak show "Tho glowing lamp". When the player finds her, she will be unable to biotically escape due to a nullifying field. The player must eliminate the owner or persuade her to give the unlock-code. Either way it will be obtained and Runa (thankful) will offer to help them. The player can accept or refuse.

Appearance:
Runa has a standard Hanar morphology (if it can be called that) yet will be a luminous green. She has metallic blasters attached to the ends of her tentacle at all times (though she won't wear them inside the ship after her loyalty mission is completed.) These blaster look cylindrical in nature.

personality:
Runa speaks with the typical Hanar eloquency, and prefers to have civil conversations instead of conflict. She has little knowledge of humor, taking jokes made about her very personally. If the player does this, she will greatly disapprove, even if the joke made isn't meant to offend her.
The surprising quality that Runa will progressively further exhibit is her other personality, in which she may shift into a more psychopathic persona whoch refers to itself as "the enkindled". Whenever this happens, she will try to distance herself between others in an attempt to protect them. If further apprehended, she will start to use more crude language/threats and if apprehended a third time during one of her shifts, she will biotically throw the player out of her quarters. Whenever this happens, the player can choose to retaliate by killing her or dismiss it and wait until she eventually shifts back to her more amicable personality.

Combat:
Runa is flexible and can cover the basics of many roles, ranging from support to offense. Her primarydefensive/support power is Biotic protector. Her offensive is slam. For getting enemies out of cover she uses singularity. Her loyalty skill is poison blades (Hanar) in which she launches poison blades from her gauntlets coated in Hanar Poison. his ability causes initial damage and paralysis, yet also causes mild damage over time.
She has low durability.
She uses tailored blaster attached to each tentacle that lets out small electrical shocks.

Loyalty mission:
Runa will disappear one day, leaving a voice recording. It will mention how she went back to Rhakun to "sort some things"  The player can wait for however long until they go to Rhakun, but the likelihood of possibility 2 increases as possibility 1 decreases (more on that later)

Possibility 1- The player goes early- Runa is held captive in which the other Hanar decide to expose her to another prothean artifact in which she is held captive in a cage that must be stopped in it's tracks (it's being moved along a conveyor belt) in order to stop Runa being . The squad must fight through the enemies (biotic Hanar and Salarian infiltrators) at the side, while you must fight the main boss, a Salarian researcher with cryo and incendiary tech abilities, in order to save Runa within the given time limit (5 minutes) enemies can slip through the squadmates defenses occassionally.

Outcome 1:
If she isn't saved within 5 minutes, she is exposed, and her psychopathically "enkindled side" rveeals itself, in which she will kill everyone but your squad, you, and a few enemies. Those enemies form an unspoken temporary alliance in which they help you kill Runa who is becoming rapidly more powerful. She will be beyond reason, and you will have to kill her.

Outcome 2:
Runa is saved. She will destroy the artifact, and when asked about why she went, she will state how she "saw it as her duty to stop them from creating more phsychopaths" which is a reference to her enkindled side. Her loyalty is then attained.

Possibility 2- The player goes late- Runa will be the only enemy left, with all the enemies being blasted to pieces or torn open. The player will have to kill runa.

She will be more trusting of the player and invest time in telling them more about herself, how she got her powers etc.

Romance: N/A

My first idea...

Name: Nae'ra t'von-"Neon"

Species: Asari

Background synopsis:

Being raised by her business oriented parents, she grew up in an estranged life from her parents who paid her no attention (she will bring up in conversation how she had an Asari mother and Hanar father). Of course, being an Asari, she is naturally Biotic. Due to her parents' expansive wealth, she was able to gain a broad education, many biotic tutors and many training facilities. While she had planned to become the next business heir to her parents (shady) business empire, she had instead unexpectedly decided to make a dealing with an organisation that specializes in making people disappear without a trace. This organization is called "Mass shift". For 200 years she went through multiple phases of working as a mercenary, pirate and a stripper (gaining the nickname "Neon" in the process"

She is still working as stripper in the club known as "Euphoria" when the player interrupts a confrontation between her and a (rather...frisky) Krogan asking her for favours. You can either paragon interrupt,The PC will say something along the lines of "This isn't something you want to do" along with other options that can be selected after the interrupt. One option convinces him to snap to his senses. The other causes Neon to biotically throw him into a table full of other krogan (as she will be bored with the PC lecturing the krogan about how his seriously inebriated state. very entertaining scene to watch.) The renegade interrupt just results in the PC attacking the Krogan. No warnings. Just a straight up beat down, Neon will say something playfully along the lines of "thanks, you seem to know your way around a fight."

Regardless of how you deal with the Krogan, you can either recruit her by offering her a bigger paycheck or appealing to her sense of adventure and attraction to danger. Or you could just reject her, which leads to her being unavailable unless responding to a later email the PC gets stating a new contract just in case they change their mind.

Personality:

Being experienced in adventure, violence, and other...endearing experiences, she has formed a dismissive demeanor attitude which disregards any serious situation. Think of it as a deflective barrier. She also is playful as well as adventurous, but knows that there is always danger lurking around every corner. She won't be upfront about her personal past, instead she will respond to the player with a phrase of a simple "Not going there", but she is very friendly/ humorous on other topics e.g. her past adventures. She also likes to flaunt her expansive knowledge of science, history, planets etc. when on missions yet mentions the phrases in a streetwise dialect (So liara's intelligence with Jack's streetwise tone.)

She has no interest in adapting her lifestyle to a more civilian standard, and in fact, plans to return to a life of adventure and danger. (think of her as a less psychotic Morinth). She openly rejects most/all traditional Asari ideals as she finds them "too much of a buzzkill". If asked about her real name then she will simply state "I'm not here to make friends"

Appearance:

Her skin is a purplish-blue with deep blue eyes. She has a strong (yet slender) jaw line which ends with a semi-rounded chin, unlike other Asari she has no facial markings which she says symbolizes her "allegiance to no-one. In height terms, she is around 5"4 (shorter than most squadmates) but makes up for it with an hourglass figure and firm rear.

On the Ship (I'm assuming it's Tempest) she will wear a loose-fitting robe covered in Asari patterns which (deliberately) shows too much skin.

On missions she wears a tight fitting commando suit modified with Neon purple light on the shoulder-blades as well as along her back going down to the middle of her rear. She wears no helmet as she jokingly says (she) wants them to "embrace the face of an angry Asari B***h" before they die.

Combat:

Neon is what can be referred to as a "glass cannon" as she can cause massive amounts of damage with biotic explosions yet lacks durability. She uses warp as to prime for detonations as well as slice which is when she pinpoints biotic energy into a thin line that cause solid damage initially upon first contact as well as detonating biotic explosions (this can hit multiple enemies at once. Slam is also a power she can use for causing high damage upon a single enemy. Her loyalty skill is flare which acts as a biotic bomb for dealing high damage (though be prepared to defend her as this skill has a long cool down and her durability is low)

if weapon class seperation is in effect, then she uses an smg and pistol

Moral alignment/ approval:

Neon approves of actions that involve the player taking the most "profitable route" as well as choices that lead to confrontation as "she needs a buzz". She disapproves of the safe routes as she will openly state her need for a challenge. She gets along with squadmates that have had similar adventurous lifestyles to her. Morality wise she would be "chaotic neutral" as she has no malicious goals, she is just doing her job (and enjoying it)

Loyalty mission:

Later on through the game, Neon anxiously requests the PC to speak to her. While speaking to an uncharacteristically desperate Neon, she will mention how her Parent business specialized in selling over-clocked biotic amps. She admits that she has been monitoring the locations of the mainship which her parents live on, and interrupted a distress call stating that they are being attacked by pirates who are trying to steal a new prototype for profitable gains. If the player does more than 2 missions then the ship will have reported to have been destroyed, resulting in Neon angrily confronting the player and then leaving the party without any room for negotiation. With a high renegade, the player can attack her while she is walking away, resulting in the player having to combat neon within the confines of her cabin. The fight ends with her cussing you in her last dying moments. You can cut off this with a renegade interrupt where the PC will snap her neck with their boot. (Samara intro reference *cough cough*)

If the player goes before then, the ship will be intact and The player along with Neon and another squadmate will breach the ship. Upon first walking in, Neon will find her father (a purple Hanar) dead on the floor. This will result in her going into an enraged state, in which Neon coldly states that she will "take care of business on her own". Regardless of how the player tries to convince her that the party stay together on this mission, she goes through the ship in hope of making the invaders pay and saving her mother. As you travel the ship you can find biotic amp upgrades (surprise, surprise) and will encounter surviving pirates (with low health assuming Neon damaged them yet didn't bother killing them in her rampage) while seeing sights of destroyed rooms due to Neons power-rage.

After this you will find an injured Asari with similar feature to Neon, who turn out to be her mother. You and your squadmate must protect her (a health bar will be presented) as you continually progress through the ships and more pirates. Her mother can use pull and warp, so she isn't just annoying fodder with no self-defense. When you get to the labs, you will find a still-enraged Neon repeatedly slamming the (presumable) chief to a pulp. This can then result in Neon either having an angry confrontation with her mother (If the player was aggressive/renegade) or forgiving/ glad to see her mother is okay. (Paragon/altruistic). If she is within an angry confrontation in which she questions her mothers' antic with the business and blames hr for her fathers' death, a decent paragon will give the option which fully convinces her to appreciate her mothers' safety (this option isn't needed if the first outcome occurs). Otherwise she ends up leaving her mother on the ship (which the player can bring the mother on the ship where they can drop her off on a nearby hub planet or leave her). Either outcome results in Neons' loyalty.

If her mother was forgiven, she will mention that she hopes to re-establish lost time with her and may even be willing to "try and live the life they knew best for me". If not forgiven, she will state that she hopes her mother "gets what she deserves" and even "may come for her myself".

After this mission she will slowly reveal that she suspected that her parents' business had shady dealings and ran away to escape as she didn't want to harbor responsibility for her parents mistakes. She will also reveal her true name (Nae'ra t'von) and become more trusting of the player, asking him/her for advice on occasion.

Romance:

Only when loyal she can be romanced by a playable character of either gender and morality alignment. She will slowly yet enticingly respond to flirtations made by the player, which will eventually result in one of the three outcomes.

-She will firstly suggest a no-strings attached sexual relationship, which can be rejected or taken into stride

-She will state her desire for a committed relationship if rejection of the "sex only" relationship option was chosen. You will see a more vulnerable yet loving side to her.

-You can state that you change your mind and therefore close off any romance options.

Note:

Rejecting her doesn't affect her loyalty, nor does pursuing any type of relationship

Other:

i hope you guys enjoyed this post

Please Bioware, have her in the damn game!!!

A krogan engineer with poetic heart, very wise and understood that it's best to try to difuse a problem before it gets out of hand than solving things via gun point.

A quarian infiltrator that always abide the rules and reg. Quiet and knowledgable.

An Asari Vanguard that loves to party and loves to fight

A Human Adept with mild manners but likes to break rules every now and then and bludgeon his/her way through problems

A Human soldier who loves fishing and one helluva fighter

A Turian Sentinel that has compassion that can rival mother theresa

I want a jealous crew member to kill my beloved, but not till right at the end and then have to buy DLC to hunt them down and kill them with a fancy one liner.

At least 2 squadmates should be DLC and the others should all be able to die.

That is...very specific.
But I always seem to like your ideas c;

Going by the leak with 7 squadmates and Drack and Cora being confirmed (I'm assuming Drack is a soldier and Cora is a female human adept) I would love to see a Male or female Drell Vanguard who is extremely mysterious and ruthless, a Female Turian Engineer and an Asari Matriarch (maybe Sentinel). And then the last two I think depending if it makes sense for the story could be new races... I would love to see an infiltrator whose main weapon is a sword, like the N7 character in ME3's multiplayer, I think that would be so cool.

And then to include other races from the Milkyway and get their perspective on things going on in Andromeda I would LOVE to see a Quarian pilot with his Geth co-pilot (replacing Joker and EDI), Salarian doctor (replacing Chakwas), Volus engineers (instead of Adams, etc...), maybe Hanar chef could be funny. A more diverse alien crew would be so great.

When did the leak mention 7 squadmates? I don't recall that. And Drack and Cora aren't confirmed, just likely.

Well they kind of are considering the trailer and leaks. And I don't remember where but I heard myself that there were going to be 7 as well. I believe I heard it from a YouTuber who gives out all new info on MEA. it Is a reliable source.

It wasn't in the leak and it wasn't mentioned by Shinobi so it seems baseless.

I was talking about the number of squadmates, and nowhere in the leaked gameplay are those characters identified as Cora and Drack. They could have easily been changed or scrapped since the leak and gameplay demo.

my bad. If the number is changed though I hope there's more. But I suppose 7 is okay with me. I did hear word of a male synthetic but I guess we'll find out more at E3.

Here is my very basic, and totally unfounded idea for our squad:

1. Human Female Adept

2. Human Male Engineer

3. Krogan Male Soldier

4. Salarian Male Infiltrator

5. Asari Vanguard

6. Turian Female Sentinel

7. Secret Squadmate, probably from a local, friendly alien species.

Squadmate ideas:
Name: Kun-Bol-"The avatar of remembrance" -vanguard
Species: Drell
Background synopsis:
Kun-Bol was once a personal trainer for assassins within the compact, yet fell astray after discovering that there was more that he could do in life rather than act as a lackey for his supposed masters. He left without word and adventured through Andromeda; picking up jobs as a mercenary and/or bodyguard. Now an old flame instead of the young spark he once was, he spends his life in solace as a spiritualist. The player will recieve an advertisement/message claiming that if the player ever wants their sins redeemed then they can contact the avatar of remembrance. The player will apprehend this "medium" and Kun will explain that he is aware of the mission and is able to help, on the field as a squadmate and off the field as a spiritualist to ease  the possible emotional pain of what difficulties may be endured on the main mission of the pathfinder and co.

Appearance:
Kun-Bol wears a beige robe made from the silk of a rare mammalian species  which can be found in the tropical parts of Andromeda. He also wears jewel-encrusted sandals that are (by his words) "Only granted to the highest Drell priests" He carries a staff (taller than him) which he channels projective biotic attacks through and uses to perform powerful melee assaults. This staff seems to be organic in origin, though he will not reveal how he attained this rod or what species is originates from.He leaves his legs bare (though he wears shorts) and is a mild grey. He is 5"8 and a thin build.

Personality:
He is a calm, solitary person who prefers to be in his own company and read, though he has no problem with speaking with a handful of people at once. He is kind and understanding when the player comes to him for moral advice, and further approves if the player also asks him for religious advice. He disapproves if the player is insensitive and commits renegade acts without reason, even if they are needed.
Notably, he follows an ancient religion unknown by everyone but him, stating that there was once an alien race that were the wisest of them all, hence why he buys or finds artifacts and technology once belonging to this supposed race.
(He has a notable dislike for Tolyan)

Combat:
Kun is focused on close quarters combat, using mainly a flurry of acrobatics and dazzlingly fast yet brutal melee attacks with his weapon. His skillset consists of:
-Biotic focus
-Nova (channeled through his staff)
-Incendiary ammo (notably through herbal/organic modfiication rather than typical technology)
-Loyalty skill-Aid- Kun bathes his staff in warpfire causing DoT damage and higher initial damage per hit. After 5 hits, biotic detonation occurs, though this damages Kun as well as the enemy (or enemies)
He uses a modified talon pistol (which he has named: Deliverance) and his staff.
He has high mobility and average durability.
A unique trait of Kun-Bol is that he has mastered a biotic art of "Flit" which is a small biotic charge that is used for traversing to different positions instead of the conventional combat use (A bit like a biotic dash)
Loyalty mission:

A small explosion will occur within Kuns' quarters, the player and a few crewmen of the ship will enter with weapons drawn. Kun will be nowhere to be found, but the tip of the staff will seem to have grown pink vines and a glowing red crystal. The player will approach and touch the staff, being hit with a vivid vision of Tolyan being held by vines within a crystalline cave. The player characters will only have a basic idea of his location. The PC will be surprised to gain a minor ability called Echo-sense in which the player will have visions whenever they touch a relevant object (slightly like the prothean ability to read the environment through touch) Kun-Bol has many unknown artifacts and pieces of art which the player will have to find and touch in order to gain the location of Kun-Bol. It is found that he will be on a remote planet held closely by the khet. The player (have Kuns' staff on their back and not for use) will have to fight through the progressively more diverse and beautiful cave with the squad members and will eventually be found to be containing Kun who is held by vines. He will be spouting gibberish from an unidentifiable language. The player however, is able to mildly encode this, saying that The grand purging is coming. Kun will be saying this over and over again. The player will have a choice to shoot him or free him.

Shooting him results in initial disconnection with the sacred vines, while a second shot can be made to kill him. Otherwise, Kun will live yet show major disapproval towards the player as they did not comprehend what they had just interfered in. With a high enough paragon a dialogue option can be selected to gain his loyalty and forgiveness, otherwise he remains disloyal. The vines will shrivel and die due to the wounding (or killing) of Kun.

If he is instead gently removed from the vines, then he will be more understanding of the player and will come back loyal. The vines will remain living and glowing.

From then on, the player will retain the Echo-sense and Kun-Bol's staff will retain the new crystal and vines, making it seemingly more powerful. This can open a whole new array of dialogue options and interactions within different scenarios. Multiple scientific division and corporations will want the attention of the player, though Kun installs a program to destroy their emails from the inbox upon receiving them. Kun will mention how he and the player are "marked" by an ancient alien species (not remnant) which existed eons ago yet died through past Andromedan conflicts.

Romance:
Kun-Bol will openly reject flirtations, saying that he has taken a vow of celibacy. The player can either mockingly call him a "monk" or respect his devotion to the lifestyle he has chosen.

Cora (Reaper tech enhanced clone of Eva Coré)
aka: The Woman of 10,000 Lives, The "Illusive Daughter".
Human

Background: The Woman of 10,000 Lives so-named due to part of the process of cloning which involved using the product extracted by the Collectors from captured human colonists which was to be used in constructing the Human Reaper. Developed from technologies from multiple sources including Okeer, the "Illusive Daughter" is one of the most, if not the most, enhanced human clone to exist. By having another project developing an A.I. under the same name the Illusive Man was able to take greater care in keeping this project hidden while using the aforementioned A.I. technologies in development of the clone. She was created with long term Cerberus goals in mind which the Illusive Man did not share with anyone besides the Cora clone.

I want our squad made up of all the awkward species. Volus adept, Hanar Infiltrator, Elcor vanguard who can biotic charge into battle with us on his back.

And I want a really smart-arse, snarky Salarian as the Tempest's pilot.
