If you ever play the Human Noble origin, make sure you talk to young Oren before you run off to your room to start the night's events. My favorite line in the entire game is there. Whenever someone from QA discovers it, they generally find my office and stare at me in horror: "Dave, you're a MONSTER!"

It makes me giggle.

Not "the sword up close" line - thats horrible!


I cant just pick one line.. there are to many.
But i think my husbands (found out that he listens in secret with that one) favorit must be when Alistair gives you his new weapon of choice: " Watch as I trash our enemys with the mighty power of flower arrangements! Feel my thorns darkspaw! I will overpower you with my rosy scent."

That's from his gossip dialogue. You can ask him why he wants to know and he basically goes "sSo I can usurp powah, ololololz" to which you can go "Okay fine, you're leader if you want." Then he says your line.

"What? Me, lead? No, no. No leading. Bad things happen when I lead. We get lost. People die. And I end up stranded somewhere...without any pants!"

Love that one.

I found another dialogue recently that I really like.

Alistair: All the fighting...will you miss it, when it's over?

PC: Must you always joke about such things?

Alistair: Yes. Only one of the old priests at the monastery wouldn't laugh at my jokes. She'd rap me over the head with her cane.

PC: Maybe she was deaf.

Alistair: Oh no, that old biddy could hear you close your eyes around the corner. She hated me. HATED me.

PC: But you're so adorable!

Alistair: I know! That's what I kept saying!

The NPC Faryn (at least I think that's his name), "By Andraste's Holy Knickers!" hilarious.

I'm not entirely sure of the exact wording, but there was this one guard in Fort Drakon who goes;



"What in Andraste's sanctified girdle is going on here?"

Both of Wynne and Alistair's banters where she teases him about having a relationship with female PC. I laugh EVERY time I hear those.

Only just finished page 5 (and I'll keep reading) but I haven't yet seen the first line that made me really chuckle out loud. It may not be the best but I liked it:



In the mage origin, when you see the Tevinter statue and it starts speaking in riddles, Jowan responds:



"It's meaningless nonsense. Look, I can do it too. [sounding cryptic] The sun grows dark, but Lo! here comes the dawn."

I have a love-hate relationship with that line. At some point in development the "violent" voice was the default PC voice. Coupled with that, there was a bug where almost every command you gave your character a response would play. And that was the response. You'd hear that line literally 10 times a minute. Bile rising, hand reaching for volume - but wait - must test. Damn you violent PC! 

Then how on earth did it make it past testing?  That line should have been completely removed.  Hearing it every minute is just as bad!

I noticed an Alistair battle line that I had never heard before which made me LOL: "Okay, who ordered death?"



How did I complete 3 or 4 playthroughs and only just now hear that?

This was a funny situation, too...

My PC got blown up by a Walking Bomb spell, and was killed. My screen slides over to Alistair, and he exclaims, "Oh, you'll pay for that!"

Awesome.

when the heck did he say that, honestly the frutiest thing I have ever heard him say besides,"me and the other templars had pillow fights."
