thinking about replacing it with an optimized evade for my bloodborne overhaul mod

Yes, because it's faster than sprinting....
yeah but say it doesn't go faster than sprinting? I already abolished sprint and replaced it with something else in my game (dodge)

Forget evade.
Replace it with Asari dash-whoosh-whoosh ![]()

(Assuming you meant the backward dash, that's my current dodge. It works quite well, especially at 3x animation rate)
other stuff:

other stuff:
- implemented strafing. note how you can't side-step in this game without rotating the whole character
- removed limitation that disables movement while casting spells, which means you can now walk (+ strafe) during casting/basic attacking
- greatly increased acceleration when you come from a stop and try to move in any direction.
- pretty much bloodborne now
I want that stuff so bad ![]()

i'll all release it when i have more time to work on it. also fixed server browser and mapped it to a hotkey instead of main menu tile. have a lot of ideas but have very little time (extra ideas: abolish all stat benefits, rebalance all difficulties, make the dragon fight tough as hell, etc)

Tbh,when I heard about Dragonslayer,I thought Dragons will be the ultimate challenge.
Fereldan frostback was a nightmare for me to kill and I had to use some sneaky tactic to defeat her with low level kit (10 or so).

I approve! How fast can you move while casting? Full speed? Because that would be OP.

Oh look! More stuff I approve of! This might actually get me to play this on PC. Probably not though... but maybe.

currently acceleration is set high enough that you don't suffer from any speed reduction while changing directions
as for moving while casting it would be easy to set a speed reduction debuff on the timeline applied when you cast abilities.
also for the OP statement: some stuff will be OP for sure, so I'll have to buff the enemies as well ![]()

For advanced players and crazy tricks (including height advantage and pathfinding manipulation), and correcting some rubberbanding issues under lag, otherwise no under a lag free game.
Jump is the only real way to move fast when you have laggy hosts and are in rubber band city so due to terrible netcoding it is #1 requirement of this tacked on multiplayer experience.

that's because jump has a sync component attached to it. if I can find a way to attach it to evade, dodge or increase its rate then it could probably fix rubberbanding

Like seriously.... Does the code look like they outsourced the MP to some slave coding factory in China and then handed the completed game to the marketing department at Bioware?
Because it's strange that all the devs that were put on the team were like "something was hard coded into and we can't figure out how to change it" responses.
Kinda reminds me of when Crystal Dynamics palmed off the MP of Tomb Raider to Eidos Montreal (after they had stripped the studio of all talent) and the mess that game was.

imo it's not that they can't figure it out, but it would require re-designing some stuff for MP which wouldnt have been possible at a late stage. even with what I suggested above it would require some weird implementation probably with a looping timeline or something. most likely they just didn't want to deal with it as to not make things even worse

(in Katari voice)
That's reassuring!
Yes becasue you need something to tell you that you are too far away from the treasure to pick it up.
everything you're doing is so tempting -- I keep wondering if I should get it for PC so I can play the Wavebend experience (which sounds as if it'll be a much better game).
I have to say that starting at 0 and facing the grind again, though, is a big UGH.

Not if Wavebend removes stat benefits and re-balances the difficulties. It would only be annoying to get all the gear again.
Dont you basically need to jump on Elven ruins to clikb up the rocky slope? Other than that, its only really for convenience.
If you need some testing done, let me know. ![]()
The real question . . . will you still be able to satisfy the demands of the Qun? ![]()
