Spoiler

If you can't see the image for whatever reason, it's a screencap of Xenon the Antiquarian asking, "Would you consider allowing me to acquire your hand? After your death, of course."

I suppose it doesn't count as a legitimate Easter egg if they put it in on a request, but it could be quite amusing to find the hand there in DA4's version of the Black Emporium -- which there absolutely should be! I suppose it could also be a call to Capt. Jack Harkness having the Doctor's hand in Torchwood, AND since Solas's VA was in Torchwood, it all works out nicely :D.

Trouble is the hand doesn't actually exist anymore.  It was already too far gone to save after the anchor was removed and sort of dissipated.  I'm kind of conflicted between being a lore pedant and having a great callback to that line.

I think with three ex-Torchwood cast members there should be some sort of codex reference in the next game (like the fantastic codex entry on Serault which referenced everything Failbetter games have made).

Other than the hand (or the bracers/gauntlet of the inquisitor), what about seeing Solas' tankard (or jawbone necklace), Vivienne's henin (or what ever it's called), Cullen's chessboard, a snip of dorian's 'stache ( got the idea from those classic tales where the maiden could give a lock of her hair as favour ), Josie's unmentionables  (don't look at me like that. Leli pinned it on the chanter's board during their heydeys  i wish i could be part of that fun), blackwall's beard.

Hey, even Meredith makes the cut at Xenon (granted in red lyrium form), so I guess even our companions could be deemed as important too, no? ;)

Leliana just said it was 'someone's' undergarments.  No confirmation of whose.

I knew someone was going to respond with this.

As I already posted in another thread...

In this tweet, Patrick Weekes says only that, "He removed the Anchor. Your hand was too far gone at that point to save, though," which to me is still ambiguous enough that a player can head-canon it any way they want. All the player sees is that Solas does a thing and walks away, but we don't know what happens immediately after that. If you want your Inquisitor's hand to blow away like so much dust in the wind, then have at it, but it's not conclusive from what we are shown in the game.

There is also an argument to be made that any sort of camera angles were purposely decided upon. Whether those are for animation reasons, lore reasons, or RP reasons, what they chose to show the player is what matters the most.

Huh.  I didn't think of it that way.
