VPs until your uncommons are maxed will save you money. If you unlock an uncommon in a 99000 pack, you just spent ~20K on something you would have gotten for ~4K. Plus, you'll max them out real quick that way. After that, JEPs to max consumables then APs all the way.
That seems great in theory. In practical ways, it's not so nice. I did that for Recruit Packs that cost only 5k, but following this strategy for Recruit Packs is unbearable.
There are much uncommon things to max out. And 2 Silver matches = 3 VPs. To make things worst, many things I get Character Training cards that are useless.
Following this strategy requires a ridiculous amount of gameplay relying solely on commons and uncommons.
I bought around, making a crazy guess, 10 APs and 7 RPs, a a few SPs and 1 SPS. They gave me new weapons, gear, new cool characters, etc.
I intend to max out uncommon, so I haven't stopped buying VPs, I just don't intend to buy only those ones and getting Gold cards is pretty cool.
Money is "infinite", you just have to play to get it.
Sorry, my statement may have been misleading. I didn't mean that "Spectre Packs give the best value," I meant "Spectre Packs give better value than Premium Spectre Packs at earlier stages of manifest building."
Buying a mix of packs is fine. In fact, to some extent, that's what almost everyone does. Mixing veterans and SPs should work out fine. If you find yourself short on consumables consistently then you could tweak things around, but otherwise, you will consistently build your manifest with a mix of VPs and SPs.
I didn't use correct terminology. I just mean Gold cards denoting Rare unlocks (weapons/mods) and the Black Cards denoting Ultra Rare weapons (they aren't really Platinum.)
All good, I got it now. What I meant was that earning 60k for the SP is quicker than earning 100k, which is very very obvious
