My manifest is maxed for common weapons and I still have lots of uncommons to max.

However I'm not buying purely Veteran packs since I also need rare stuff.

My question here is: it seems to me that it's better to buy a Premium Spectre Pack than a Spectre Pack. One is 60k and gives you 1 rare and the other is 100k and gives you 2 rares, so that 50k a rare instead of 60.

Also it can give you URs, which I luckly got one on my first SPS buy.

Does that makes sense?

If you want max Rares then yes the double Rare packs are better.  But you won't get as many Silvers in that pack which would mean less Weapon Rail Amps, among other things.  But as long as you are supplementing your consumables with Jumbo Packs this shouldn't really be an issue.  Even using a Rank I or II Rail Amp is better than not having one at all.

Oh yes, I didn't make that clear. I actually buy Veteran packs when I'm below 35 Medi Gels because this will slowly help me to max my uncommons. The rest of the consumables are fine (i.e.70 to 130).

Spectre packs will net you 5 rare cards per 300k, while PSP's (or any 99k pack) will net you 6 rares for 300k .. so the difference isn't too much.

TBH, while still building up your uncommons, SP's are probably better as in the above mentioned total credits you will receive 15 uncommon (or character xp) cards while the PSP's will only net you 6

If you're looking for a balance between equipment, consumables, and rare weapons, vanilla Spectre Packs will actually give you the best overall value (Edit: When specifically compared to PSP/Arsenal Packs.) During earlier stages of manifest building, I'd actually advise against buying PSP/Arsenal packs. It's somewhat like buying lottery tickets when you should be buying groceries.

When you have topped up consumables, a solid mod/gear manifest, and most of your uncommons covered, PSPs and Arsenal packs become more valuable. At that stage, you don't need what they give less of (consumables/non-Rare unlocks) and you are approaching the point where your remaining manifest can only be unlocked by Rare/Ultra Rare unlocks, which is what they offer better value towards.

Edited for clarity.

SP with ocasional Veterans? Seem good. 2 Silvers = 1 SP, 1 Gold = 1 SP = 10 to 20k.

By "can only be unlocked by Gold/Platinum unlocks", do you mean because of the packs value which is 100k?

VPs until your uncommons are maxed will save you money. If you unlock an uncommon in a 99000 pack, you just spent ~20K on something you would have gotten for ~4K. Plus, you'll max them out real quick that way. After that, JEPs to max consumables then APs all the way.

Sorry, my statement may have been misleading. I didn't mean that "Spectre Packs give the best value," I meant "Spectre Packs give better value than Premium Spectre Packs at earlier stages of manifest building."

Buying a mix of packs is fine. In fact, to some extent, that's what almost everyone does. Mixing veterans and SPs should work out fine. If you find yourself short on consumables consistently then you could tweak things around, but otherwise, you will consistently build your manifest with a mix of VPs and SPs.

I didn't use correct terminology. I just meant Gold cards denoting Rare unlocks (weapons/mods) and the Black Cards denoting Ultra Rare weapons (they aren't really Platinum.)

That seems great in theory. In practical ways, it's not so nice. I did that for Recruit Packs that cost only 5k, but following this strategy for Recruit Packs is unbearable.

There are much uncommon things to max out. And 2 Silver matches = 3 VPs. To make things worst, many things I get Character Training cards that are useless.

Following this strategy requires a ridiculous amount of gameplay relying solely on commons and uncommons.

I bought around, making a crazy guess, 10 APs and 7 RPs, a a few SPs and 1 SPS. They gave me new weapons, gear, new cool characters, etc.

I intend to max out uncommon, so I haven't stopped buying VPs, I just don't intend to buy only those ones and getting Gold cards is pretty cool.

Money is "infinite", you just have to play to get it.

All good, I got it now. What I meant was that earning 60k for the SP is quicker than earning 100k, which is very very obvious :P

That's the most important thing, really. The "perfect strategy" doesn't worth squat if halfway through it you quit the game because it only gives you boredom and frustration.
