I'm leaving on vacation next week and I heard there's a trick to avoid losing the readiness over time.
I've tried it but it didn't work.
Is this still supposed to be working?
It was something like not be connected to EA's servers.

Whether you're connected to the server doesn't have any direct impact on readiness that I know of, except perhaps insofar as being disconnected before your data is sent.
The servers are periodically updated with your data, but your galactic readiness falls at a pre-determined pace based on what I assume would be your device's clock. It starts very quickly, and then gradually slows.
Unless you're gone for a month or more, you shouldn't need more than a few play sessions to raise it again, but unless you're planning on playing the ending of an SP campaign shortly after coming back, it's not going to make any difference. It has no impact on MP.
I haven't played in months, but I still update my GR every day on my phone for some unknown reason.
Habits die slow...

Dun, dun, dun...

But the galaxy needs me!
