The Learning Curve Kit

The seeker swarms have a long cool down, but then you get 3-4 uses for free.
Similarly dark sphere has no cooldown, but when detonated, it has a huge cooldown.
This kit teaches you to ballence your powers and manage your long cooldowns without getting yourself in a sticky cooldown situation. Which is not what I do *facepalm*

For me, the big learning experience for ME3MP was when I taught myself how to solo Reapers and Collectors with the Vorcha Soldier (I would have used the Sentinel, but I didn't have it at the time. Curse you, RNGesus!). On Firebase Giant. On Silver. Looking back, it doesn't seem to be that big of an accomplishment, but those days of practice taught me how to juggle the enemy AI and how to survive on my own in the game.
And how to dodge Ravager shots, let's not forget that.

Turian Sentinel, my second favorite character. It has (almost) everything you need to learn about ME3MP:
A passive power that protects you and can be detonated as a panic button
A hitscan power that techprimes
A power that can be dodged that bio/tech primes (combined with the right ammo, it can be pretty devastating)
Passives that can enhance weapon stability
the first kit that I played without fitness, teaching me proper positioning on the map and soft cover spots, without being too unforgiving, thanks to tech armor's DR.
My favorite character is the Widow SI, simply because there's a beauty in his rhythm (mooks: cloak, ED, headshot, reload, headshot - if alive. Bosses: cloak, PM, head shot, reload, headshot, cloak - rinse and repeat). The best character to learn how to snipe.

I can also add: TE. People were saying left and right that Sabo's power set sucks and that it's a very underwhelming kit so I took this as a challenge. To date, one of my best games came when I had 25 kills in plat with some of PS3's best players and I was #1 by a decent margin (15-20k). I learned from that game that all kits, no matter how "bad" they are (easy to say that when all some guys play are GI/GJ/Vorcha Flamers/Kroguard w Reegar) have significant advantages and uses, even a piece of SHET Volus Adept. It's kinda started my philosophy of doing better with what's not OP than using a really powerful/advantageous weapon on an equally broken kit. Well, that and my love for classic sports/street cars over exotics. And yes, that plat game was vs Geoffs; my pyro minions kicked ass.

Human Sentinel was the most important class in my development as a player, because it was the class that taught me how to GTFO of the way of enemy fire. When I was moving up a level (Bronze -> Silver -> Gold), having the DR from Tech Armor gave me just a little bit longer margin of error on my reaction time to avoid enemy fire. I saved myself a lot of medigel that I would have spent if I was using a different character with similar health/shield and no DR. Eventually, my reaction time got better, and now I can play squishy characters fine (or better than most PUGs anyway). And it's all due to the Vanilla Human Sentinel.

She was what made me Gold viable before Plat was even around. I called her Sparky and damn she was great. Didn't even mind landing in a FBWGG cause I still had so much fun with her. Still one of my fav kits. Put a Valiant on her and I'm set.
.
Tried Scorpion on her with one of your 255 Cryo IV ammo?
HE is also was my learning kit. Now I can run her without cyclonic and stay alive.

oh and thanks to all that squishy Drells,...
they teaches me not to hide behind massive health / shields / cyclonics and that you can survive by using massive damage output, cover & speed, even on higher difficulties.

About the Juggernaut: I agree it's probably one of the worst learning curve kits. It could have been one of the best if not for the abuse of shield regenerating melee. It potentially teaches you to maneuver a map properly and is tanky enough to ease you into higher level difficulties. It's also a great weapons platform for both short and long range.
It's been a pleasure to be in a game with someone who can play the Jugg to it's fullest potential.
Man, I couldn't agree with you more. For me, the Juggernaut was my initial learning of it all: I played this guy as my first character for months; learning enemies, maps, play styles, and eventually felt safe enough to move from bronze to gold with it. It was my introduction to ME3, when husband put the controller in my hand and said: 'Have a go, he's a sturdy huge robot, nothing can kill you!' (Yeah, slight fib there but close enough to get me interested!) The Jugg is my first
and pathway to this whole game.
I'm still a total n00b when it comes to the game, and haven't even tried all the characters yet. So my experiences are from the newcomer perspective.
Next learning steps were Destroyer, Batarian and Krogan Shamu, in that order. From sturdyish guys that work well if you can just shoot, progressing to some special power uses.
And the most I've so far recently learned, in a very short time, was with the Paladin. Man, all those buttonssss! Fun abilities, varied repertoire, but cannot-go-facetanking everything.
And right after that, one well-rounded (ROFL) Volus. ![]()
As my steep learning curve continues, I may add new stuff later - perhaps with more insights about powers etc.

Vorcha Soldier. This was the first squishy kit that I learned to take into Gold regularly, and it made me very aware of RHA, cover, and keeping up the damage output while absorbing only the little damage that he can take. And before I maxed my manifest, it mattered to me that he can wreak havoc with low grade weapons and level 1 consumables.

In general: QFE. Each power has a purpose and specific applications, and two of them have synergy built into their evos that makes the kit very strong vs health and armor, but the kit has a clear weakness in shields/ barriers that you have to learn to work around or use a synergistic ammo/weapon to mitigate. Turret also requires L2P to get much use out of, but is a nice little CC tool/aggro dump, spawnpoint compass, and virtually cooldown free DPS once you learn how and how not to place it.
For weapons: The glorious Quarian Marksman. You either git gud at the business of putting bullets to heads and making everything dead, or you git rekt because you weren't fast or accurate enough.
Also, dem quarian curves ![]()

Salarian Infiltrator. Hitscan power that is good at draining Shields/Barriers from the target and can be used in two ways, either Cloak > Energy Drain > Shoot for easier Shield Gate mitigation of weapon damage, or Cloak > Shoot (Disruptor Ammo) > Energy Drain for a Tech Burst. Also very forgiving as you can restore your own Shields and even gain temporary Damage Reduction all from this one Power. Proximity Mine when you git gud and can step up your game. Like the GI only better because while the toaster unit is hiding in the corner, the SI can remain offensive by draining Shields and continuing the fight.
Salarian Engineer. Good all-around kit that is severely underrated because Energy Drain only detonates combos on Shields and toasters. Take the Cryo Ammo and Chilled Evo on Incinerate and discover just how powerful one single Tech ability can be on its own. Of course all factions have opportunities for Fire Explosions once you git gud and capitalize on those opportunities.
TL;DR git gud

Well I have to disagree. Actually in my opinion it's quite the opposite. I spent 4 months playing only him on white geth gold when the game came out because it was the only kit I managed to play on gold. It's ridiculously powerfull but it doesn't have such a huge landing curve, anyone can start to play him, just take a black widow (or any good sniper) skip the mine and you're good to go.
But he's taught me a lot of things (indirectly) as I would never have seen what gold looks like without him.

Aha. the motherfucking Geths. ![]()
Yesterday I was playing SE after a long time. And realized how stupid Geth look with the decoy. Laughing as I was slaughtering the geths while they were occupied with the decoy. Got careless and suddenly found myself flanked by 2 primes from 2 far ends of the map. All teammates were dead. Before I could notice them, I was staggerfucked by 2 drones, 2 turrets and 2 siege pulses. I swear i spent all 5 medigels and 4 ops pack but could not even fire my cobra. 'Mission failed'.
I digress but.. Geths. ![]()
I still hate Hunters more though.

I think the nerf was Decoy used to distract more enemy types. Now only a select few will focus on it, such as Phantoms, but Geth as a whole are all dumb enough to prioritize it still.

Yeah I have trouble seing the whole point of this ,as Bioware's main goal was to reduce the number of SE who just farmed White Geth.
Working as intendedTM
