are we talking about the stuff that could of been added by no longer coming future dlc's (we should of had at least 2 more mp dlc's going by the info in the early stages of the game) or stuff that's been replaced by "new" changes to current abilities ?

 

if its the former then i'd guess probably 22 passives 20 primary abilities and 15 upgrade abilities that are unique and different to currently used stuff, if the latter then 36 /

 

of course that would suppose they wrote the code and then abandoned the project in favour of other ventures when EA realised the giant cockup the ridiculous rng system created by not enticing people to spend platinum /

Please tell me that there is an ability that will let you summon a friendly elite bolter squad :wub: I'm happy to pay 1 gold for every time I summon them.

your guest is still the best one though. There are 35 unused abilities. Most of them aren't in a fully working state but it's fun to see what ideas they were working on early on. I like to call them alpha abilities.

  12. Confusion dagger throw
  13. Sneak backstab
  14. Grenade (standard)
  15. Grenade (Fire)
  16. Grenade (Ice)
  17. Grenade (Poison)
  18. Grenade (Lightning)
  19. Net
  20. Artifice

Mage abilities

  1. Shimmering Shield (Arcane warrior)
  2. Tear Essence (Blood mage)
  3. Elemental cone

Q: Is it possible to play with them at this time?

A: No, because most of them don't even have complete data about how they should work. Most of them have been worked on and were left uncompleted

Rain of Arrows and Arrow Storm sound kinda similar. Both sound awesome! As does Pandemonium Powder.

There are way more of these abilities for rogues than there are abilities for the other classes. My guess is that they didn't include them because that would make rogues way too fun, and nobody would play anything else. :)

Looks like they were drawing inspiration from the demon hunter from Diablo 3 for rogue abilities (turrets, grenades, rapid fire, rain of arrows). I guess the few abilities for warriors suggests how lower down the totem pole they really were in the devs imagination.

given that the mooks like to scream a lot of those names randomly I would guess far from being player abilities they are ai only abilities,

 

unless of course we were going to get some kind of awakened vent/rt/demon/ds/qunari as a playable char in the future,

 

if they were going to become something as part of a playable char that just shows how much longer they had initially planned ot support the game (albeit with really slow releases) if those are AI abilities then them being incomplete would explain why they randomly do insane damage /take insane damage for no good reason .....

Incorrect, they are mappable player abilities that come with the party bundle

 

NPC abilities are locked away in another inaccessible (for now) data region

I have a few unused abilities burned into my PS3 menu. 

 

You'd have to pry your eyes to see them now but the minimap "sphere" is there for good I'm afraid.
