As a warrior, got a finishing move on the ogre and then got on one of the mini-bosses in the Fade/sloth demon (Magi Circle) quest.
Combat finishing moves - what happened to them?

I wasn't expecting my Mage as such to perform the finishing move but neither Alistair or the tower guards did the finishing move on the ogre.
I noticed the Lily decapitation against the sentinels too, that was pretty awesome. Tried the freeze / stone fist combo too but that only seemed to kill the enemy, not shatter them like expected.
On a side note with the spell combo's do we know if there are any other primal ones? I'm roleplaying a pure destructive force and not investing points in the other schools (so no grease / fire combo). Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I have a mage and soldier did the finishing move on the ogre for me ... but then my computer crashed and I had to do the fight again. The second time, Walking Bomb killed him and there was no finishing move, just the usual explosion you get from it. So it does appear to be based on class and who actually reduces the bad guy to zero.
