Plus :
"hey Ryder back me up while i hack this terminal" scenario.
i DESPISE these scenarios witha passion.

You should play Half Life 2. Some of the most memorable firefights in gaming comes from that game in scenarios just like that, where you have to protect an objective from incoming enemies.

1. Using elaborate similies in conversation. I've noticed this a bit in my latest ME1 playthrough.

2. Those times where it's supposed to be someone being interrupted while they're speaking but there's this weird pause between the moment the VO stops talking and the new VO takes over.

There's a form of that in ME3MP, too.

Are you suggesting that skill point investment isn't consequential / should not matter?

Not for hacking locks, no, it should not matter.

And it works very well... indeed, ME3 gameplay work better in the mp than in the sp.

I was going to say the Mako as it is the Mako that keeps me from wanting to reply the original ME, but I'll keep an open mind.

I don't want to see 100 hours of tedious fetch quests and a 30 hour plot. I hope the game focuses mostly on a strong plot and companion missions and provides a more streamlined experience than DAI.

I hope we don't end up with maps with 200 ?s full of busy work.

I agree 100%.  More plot/story driven sde quests, less find stuff to open random doors and get random useless stuff.    If the stuff is amazing, fine, if it's just a level 4 helmet, no thanks.

And we need a strong antagonist.

Also the story really needs to lead up to the final battle, ME3 earth battle was good,  DA:I lets just finish him when I feel like it but it's a "surprise" attack was wierd.

finally a non-trashy plastic dress for the Female Protagnist please.  That zipper skirt was horrible. If she has to wear a dress that is.

Jar Jar Binks, and a Deux Ex Machina ending, that's about it. For anything else, I say bring it on, surprise me.

Heh, this always kind of bugged me as well. They could never seem to get the timing quite right.

Uncertain, but some of these pauses may be due to lines that are said by NPC's not present in that Players session.

No political agenda of human rights activists forced thru game on us... for a change it would be nice. I believe that in like 23rd - 24th century humanity has the other problems than gay marriages and stuff like that.  I am getting kind sick of these themes silently sneaking to the games, like with latest Inquisition, you could have seen cheesy gender and sex problems of some characters in game, i was so dissapointed, that BioWare went full retard.[/quote]

I actually want MORE of that.

Because you do realize a LOT of major sci-fi franchises like Star Trek, Babylon 5, Crusade, Godzilla, Blade Runner, Mad Max, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, Firefly/Serenity, and even The Twilight Zone, were created to explore and/or address real world issues and if Mass Effect wants to be one of the first video game franchises to be treated as a serious work of sci-fi than BioWare has to be willing explore and/or address current real world issues, even if you may not like it or how they handle it. IMHO however I feel it is ABSOLUTELY VITAL that BioWare continue to that if they want the Mass Effect franchise to grow.

Also since I have a lot less faith in humanity to get over itself in only 200 years I don't think a lot of our current social problems still haven't gone away in the Mass Effect universe.

No scanner on the ship like the one on the Normandy that Shepard had to walk through when going to the war room or CIC

Oooh yes, there is nothing quite as annoying as an escort / protect thing, with an inept npc. Now with a couple of lowly oomans it can be fun.

No fan-pandering meme-spouting in the game and no sit-com interactions a la DA:I this time.

I wanted to puke going through the companion stuff in the Trespasser DLC because they kept going the sit-com route with comedy. Lots of missing animation cues, sounds and overall pathetic attempt to be funny was (obviously) not fun to see.

Take your story seriously, and use comedic relief properly e.g. with characters cracking some jokes, occasional camp and tongue-in-cheek dialogue but don't resort to memes or fan-pandering humor like "haha, calibrations, blahblha, garrus, blahblah calibrations haha" like in ME3. Way to kill immersion in a series that I feel is made to be immersive.

DA:I was an all-new low. Citadel DLC I can accept because it's a DLC specifically for campy fan-pandering meme and player-requested moments on top of a really disappointing main-story finale, but that's an exception. DA:I had no excuse for being so cringe-inducing throughout its core game or epilogue DLC. If you're gonna break the tone of your narrative at least don't do it as part of the story or a gap in the story where you have companion interaction. I don't want ME:A's normandy crew conversations to be filled with bad jokes Bioware took directly from reddit's Mass Effect page.

The N7 in the trailer is wearing some bandana-like thing around his neck so it may be a bit late for that. Please, no space bandanas and duster coats. I like Firefly as much as the next person, but not in my Mass Effect.

The new N7 suit looks like it incorporates more of a softer looking material, and there's a flap of it coming down on the neck, sort of like a jacket.

Something I would like to see is for ME:Andromeda to retain a realistic sense of scale when it comes to interstellar distances and the size of things like star clusters and galaxies. I know that this is a setting where near instantaneous intra-galalactic travel is possible, but one of the things that kind of irked me from the previous trilogy was the sheer area covered by Shepard. In terms of lore less than 1% of the milky way has been explored, but when your galaxy map looks like this:

Spoiler

It kinda takes away from the sense of scale. You also can't really blame the layman when they see this and say "Yeah the Milky Way is boring, we've seen everything already."

I would like to see the sense of scale brought back to the forefront in Andromeda. Go ahead and let the Helios star cluster be huge, but let the players know that this is only the tiniest fraction of the real estate that is the Andromeda Galaxy. Keep the players feeling (comparatively) small, when it comes to the grand scheme of things.

To see what kind of scale I am looking for go look at the Map for the Traveller setting. Zoom all the way in. Zoom all the way out. That is what I would like to see for ME:Andromeda.

That was an ME3 problem really. In ME2 the Geth and EDI were exactly what you ask for in your first paragraph, and Garrus, Wrex and Liara really embodied the rather different tone of their species in ME1.

Although the Batarians gave the exact counterpoints you said you wanted in all 3 games.

I guess I kinda see what you mean though. In ME2 they totally humanised the turians and asari, and in ME3 they totally humanised the Geth and EDI.

Exactly. BioWare can make a really varied and nuanced setting to start with; I mean just look at ME 1 vs. ME 3, or DA:O/A vs DA:I; but they have a really bad tendency to humanize everything and/or remove the elements that they can't as the stories progress. The Rachni, the (ME 1) Hanar, Elcor, and Volus, the (ME 2) Geth, etc. of Mass Effect. The Awakened, Werewolves, Sylvans, etc. of Dragon Age, all of these definite non-human elements saw less and less attention as their respective franchises moved forward until you get to the third game and the setting has almost completely transformed into a universe filled solely with humans and humans in rubber suits. That is what I would like ME:Andromeda to avoid.

I don't see a new sci-fi IP and think to myself: "Oh good, another attempt to showcase humans and our social issues using obvious human stand-ins to make some kind of point." I like science fiction because it allows one to escape from the boring monotony of real life and go see and experience things that are different, things that are 'alien' to our sensibilities.
