Same way as with everyone else...kill something after you die. have to have HOK on though. Spirit Mark works nicely

Once simulacrum ends you hope to kill something that heals you back. Or kill something quickly so it heals you before the death animation ends and you end up in simulacrum

If you do it too much you go blind.

The upgrade is helpful in this manner; it gives you more breathing room with its extended duration
Edit: this might require HoK, from either equipment or death siphon. I'm not positive as I always have either HoK or death siphon.

Once simulacrum ends, if you have an active pet from spirit mark, it automatically cancels and revives you. So make sure you have an active pet when you ultimately die after simulacrum.

It absolutely requires Heal on Kill. Death Siphon alone will not work.
To the OP (since no-one else has bothered to explain it clearly): The way you see the vast majority of players self-reviving with the Necro is by using Spirit Mark. As long as you have an enemy fighting for you (ie, an active "Spirit" enemy), when you die the second time (ie when Simulacrum, your ghost form, expires), the Spirit Ally (or "pet") also dies, and the kill is credited to the Necromancer. So if you have some equipment with any amount of HoK equipped, your character will then be healed, bringing you back from the dead. That's the power of the Necromancer.
Spirit Mark can be somewhat difficult to use against certain enemies, and you have to watch carefully that it doesn't expire on you while you are in Simulacrum form. Also be aware that going into Simulacrum resets the cooldowns on all of your abilities, including Spirit Mark. This may trick you into thinking your pet has died, when it may not have. This is important because if you activate Spirit Mark while a pet exists, it cancels (kills) the pet, thus taking away your chance for self-revival.

Every time I see spirit mark necro, they are always hanging back and not contributing much, just kind of hanging around.

Come into my lobby dude. I dust her off and get her off the shelf every now and then. I'm a bit rusty with her but she is still fun

I think you are on XB1, no? I'm on pc otherwise sure, I always like to play with different players. I like necro but I just have never run into any necros using spirit mark that I would respect.

For me, Necro is fun. Walking Bomb is great fun. But realistically speaking, i get enough of pop corn explosions off our saarebas already...

I have never played the necro or the elementalist, because I think their remarks are kind of rude.
The reaver is also rude but she is awesome so that's okay ![]()
Now I just got the heart of despair so maybe I would try the necro? I really hate it when the necro make the enemy green (whatever that ability is). Come on! I almost killed it!
And then she would like to do it to treasure room boss... really he was 1 hit away from death!

the other way is as soon as your in simulacrum fear a bunch of enemies, then walking bomb one of them, once your on the floor (or even in the fade) so long as you have hok item equipped the dying mooks will revive you, the only problem is some people see what your trying to do and then kill your mobs so you stay in the fade ....
personally I don't like spirt mark as it doesn't work well in laggy games.
another cool pick me up is when the Templar or keeper has the life ward ability it can pull people back form the fade although its not 100% it can be funny ![]()

The best self revive is spamming Firestorm with a Deathward. Walking Bomb (the old kind then manual detonation would spread it) with a Deathward is a close second. I used that staff a lot on my Necromancer and Elementalist back in the day.

why are still talking? nobody cares!
I find you funny because if they do enough damage you will forgive? most characters perform a specific job and when played by a skilled player do extreme damage
my Alchy is better than the Reaver in most situations and I love her comments
to be honest the reaver is yawn.....boring

But the Alchy has funny remarks. The Reaver does too. I don't think either the Elementalist or the Necro got funny ones. Just about all of their remarks are rude
And Reaver is awesome not because of the damage.. it is because she sucks life force like a vampire. Hit Hit.. argggg devour your head.... but actually now I play the Lego most often. He is very polite. ![]()

Spirit mark is the one, but you cast at any time they only come back (green) on your side after dying. So it could be tagged with full health and ignored while you kill it and still be resurrected.
And I love HoD on her .

Elementalist is a whiny **** but the Necro is great because she doesn't buy the Inquisition hype and just wants to cut the crap and finish the mission. She says funny stuff, but it's very dry humor, sarcastic at times.
