It might act like one but I don't expect it to ever be a space station. It's in the name, stations cannot move. It might stay a long part or the whole game in one location but I expect it to be able to move at any moment if necesary.

The Citadel could move on its own (it had engines). But yeah, a station sort of implies that it remains...er...stationary. :)

Ouch. If that was my boss saying that I'd probably be unemployed right now.

Had to school her on how Mass Effect is not Star Wars. Needless to say she will not be commenting on my desktop backgrounds anymore.

My girlfriend hasn't even seen Star Wars. (I know, I'm like...are you human?)

But, she has watched me play Mass Effect and was interested in it.

I view this as a small victory.

Not that I have anything against Star Wars...but it's not Mass Effect.

The part with the 4 giant arms, if that's what they're called, looks to be some type of docking station that can move when the ship is docked with it. When the ship part leaves to go wherever, the docking station remains. It will be a hub and the ship part might have smaller ships, maybe the size of the SR1, that are sent to different parts of Andromeda to explore and the main character might be in charge of one of those ships. Just a guess on my part.

The central, spherical region is also reminiscent of a Quarian liveship to me, and I suspect it is probably the Bernal Sphere-esque concept art that they showed us awhile ago. The ring around it looks like a Stanford torus, like the Presidium was. The ship has a very interesting design. I'm not so sure I agree that the central part is mobile like you think, solely because I suspect the central part is a massive living environment, but it would be interesting if part of the ship is stationary and part is mobile.

I never mentioned the central part was mobile. Its only mobile when the ship part is attached. The image shows it to be part of the structure that has those giant arms. The part that looks similiar to the Citadel would be the part that I would guess is mobile.

Oh, I misunderstood. You were basically saying the opposite of what I thought you were. That's an interesting idea, and would be pretty cool. That'd be a pretty massive ship though. I guess I assumed the Tempest would be another small frigate type vessel.

Gigantic spaceship. I Think the giant spaceships will stay near the main colony and you will be conducting your reconwork in a smaller vessel. The ARK might serve as one of the Hubs.

It will likely be far too formidable for the new enemy to attack it outright, least initially until they have collected their forces and learned more about potential weaknesses to exploit.
