Every dialogue option is her asking about like what's the point of a relationship. I keep selecting the option that tells Jack "Lets forget it." but after that I can only talk to her about the same thing so it loops. My picture of Ashley in the Captain's quarters is still standing but my dialogue options to talk to Jack to not pursue romance and to just keep things professional seem to have stalled.

 

Yeah its been about three years since I've last played through the trilogy so I forgot a lot of stuff.

I've never had this happen, but if it keeps carrying on, you can still reject her at the end scene in your quarters, before the last mission. That should work more solidly..

Well, my picture of Ashley is still up so I'm hoping that. I don't think I'm in a romance, just stuck with the same dialogue options. Like we're not in romance but every option for dialogue is the same every time after I pick the neutral "Lets forget it." The other options lead to romance. But if I pick the neutral option that makes Shepard says "Lets forget it." it does that looping thing where it gives me the same dialogue options. The two romance choices and the neutral option (which causes looping).

Not sure what to say. I usually romance her and never saw that dialogue. If you still have Ash's pic up though, then you sound alright. And if Jack doesn't even come into your quarters later, everything worked out.

Yeah I think I've experienced this, I just take it to mean that all Jack's non-romance dialogue has been exhausted and I stopped talking to her.

This is her "lock in" conversation, which can be repeated forever unless you lock her in, or pick the bottom option.  In which case the only dialogue you will get is "**** off!"

As long as you're Ashley portrait is still standing, I'm reasonably certain the game doesn't think you've made any commitment to Jack. 

 

It's just keeping the option perpetually open to you. It does the same thing with Garrus for Femshep. The way they handled the final dialogues in this game is kind of odd.
