The hilted staff grip i think it's called, the masterwork one. And whatever the best blade is i have no idea. I know they're random loot but are there any specific containers i should be looking in?
where can i find the best staff attachments?

Not only can you sort by which is best, it tells you where to find each one.
I'm lazy, so I usually go with Battlemage Staff Blade and Split Staff Grip, both of which can be bought. Unless I loot something better. I usually find the Dragon Staff Blade.
Usual locations for farming Tier 3 chests are Suledin's Cradle and Valeska's Watch.

Most people farm containers by saving game in front of a few containers, and keep reloading the game until what is desired is found.
That's what I did. However, even that wasn't enough, so eventually I just downloaded a save file with every schematic unlocked and used the golden nug to transport the schematics to a current character.
