Never played DAI, got enough, er, "osmosis" to know the MP side of things probably isn't for me. All of those things sound wonderful. Never even finished Origins actually. Despite three separate attempts. >.<

Don't worry that you missed DAI, not much to miss really.

But I'm so reporting you for not having finished DA:O!

I've actually gotten 4/5 of the starting areas done, all of them across three different playthroughs, but for some strange reason the gameplay loses me at the end. Tried a sword'n'board warrior, even had a mage up to the, er, combo firestorm tempest uberstorm thingamadeely that was fun for a bit. Keep telling myself one day I'll finish it.

2h warrior with Reaver and Berserker, use Shale or Alistair as tank, Leliana for Rouge and Wynne as Mage/Healer, makes Nightmare a breeze.

It being anything like DAIMP (the exception being having the option of viewing lobbies for games in progress prior to joining).

I like the idea of this thread  ;)

But honestly, people were complaining about geth bullsh!t since the beginnig, but biower kept adding more and more of that. So if they wanna screw things up, they gonna do it anyway...

I have seen the store of DAIMP. The store of ME3MP looks like the golden land of paradise in comparison. Well, at least it HAD Asari in it and they're all mine now.

Well, I don't think I will have the patience to max another manifest, 800/1000 hours is just too much.

The store of my dreams would be semi-random.

Unlocking characters and weapons randomli is IMHO fun. But levelling those characters and weapons is a pain in the a*s. So please make a store where you unlock things at random but only upgrade those that you want to upgrade. And don't EVER make the equipment random please. Having my over 255 equipment stolen from me while I can't manage to loot a pistol III amp is NOT fun.

But Bioware, you can keep the bugs ! They're one of the reasons I keep playing, exploiting very glitch in this game has become my moto.

Please God don't let them use DAMP as a springboard for moving forward.

In spite of the general dislike of the ME3MP store it shines like a golden beacon if compared with the pus filled turd that the DAMP store was at the beginning (it's still appalling now but has been tweaked to be slightly better for long term players).

Basing skills on your weapon stats another huge mistake that limits the diversity of the game.

How can netcode that is years afterwards be so much worse than ME3.

I dislike the store just as much as the next person but we might not have had free dlc without the rng store and microtransactions. I'd take a bad store with microtransactions over paid dlc that will segregate the player base.

And for me unless bioware completely screw the game up I'm pretty much gauranteed to play it.

Will not play: if there are no quarians. Will be too busy plotting terrorism against Biower/EA to play the shіtty, quarianless game they release.

10/10 would bang: quarian nudes, customizable quarians where I can select things like soup material, colours, patterns (other than shіtty stripes, swirls and camo that doesn't even cover the whole thing so it totally wouldn't work anyway), clan/ship names, different styles representing the latest trends in metal thigh boot fashion , bling, skin tone, eye bioluminsence/brightness, hip-waist/adonis ratios, accent sexiness, level and intensity of engineering technobabble dialogue, pimp my omnitooo, communisticalness, level of robo-loathing (scale goes from Race Traitor Koris to Glorious Gerrel), and of course dual Claymoar (which should also be in the game) firing stances.

I may have posted this elsewhere, the topic was "what do you want to see in ME4 (Andromeda) class-wise?" but for the life of me I can't find it, so I'll put it here.

One thing I like to do in ME2 and ME3 is use the Gibbed save editor to switch classes, (my headcanon is that my Shepard is a Vanguard/Sentinel hybrid, but that's another thread)

So to implement that idea into actual gameplay, it would involve something of a hybrid between the resource collecting from ME2 and requisitions from DA:I.

I'll use the classes/powers from ME3 for simplicity

Example:

You are a Vanguard (biotic/combat) and you want to switch to Soldier (full combat), alright, you'll need 20 weapon fragments, 2 ammunition blocks, and a Disruptor ammo designator.

Or Engineer, you'll need 20 components, omni-tool processor, and a V.I. interface

Or Sentinel, 10 components, omni-tool processor, and 50 units of eezo

Etc. etc.

The idea is that like the Medbay where you could reset your powers at a cost, you could use resources in the field to alter your abilities to suit the situation.

It would also provide ready materials for a crafting system, weapon fragments from defeated enemies, ammo blocks from an abandoned weapon cache, components from defeated synthetics, etc.

It wouldn't be something that you could just switch classes just for kicks; it would be an investment, something that you would have to go and gather the materials or visit a shop.  You would have to consciously make the effort, but you wouldn't need to sell half the ship just to Incendiary Ammo

--------

The other idea I thought of was a point-buy or tier hybrid, where you answer a few questions regarding playstyle and the game "creates" a class for you, which you can then modify as you see fit.  Something like Biotic Charge or Tech Armor would be expensive, to the point where you could only really pick one, but a power like Pull, Throw, Cryo Blast, Overload and the like would be relatively cheap.

Or maybe a simple "fill the slot" system, like the Vanguard: 1 class power(Charge), 2 "main" powers(Nova, Incendiary Ammo), 3 "supporting" powers(Cryo Ammo, Shockwave, Pull) 1 passive(Assault Mastery) and Fitness.

You could go with the "standard" classes or make your own.

Another bit would be picking a "class power", and then building your class around that power.

I have 100 points to spend:

Say I pick Tech Armor, and I want to plant myself in the middle of the battlefield as a line in the sand.  I pick Sentry Turret as the "line" for 20 points, and then Shockwave to push enemies back for 10.  Since I'm gonna be in the middle of the firefight, I need more firepower, so I pick Incendiary Ammo for the remaining 20 points.

The idea is that your class power sets the "tone" of your class, and the various other powers would be more/less expensive based on type proximity, i.e. a Biotic class would be able to get Warp for 15 points but a Tech or Combat class would have to spend 20.

TL;DR

Build-a-Bear meets Subway meets Mass Effect ("Mass Effect, biotic fresh!")  Pick from classic options or create your own!

Now in 3 different colors and 5 scents including Tides of Thessia; Clean, Crisp, Citadel; and Tuchanka Sunshine *Warning: Tuchanka Sunshine may cause burning, chest hair, sudden emphasis and exclamation of "I. AM. KROGAN!", thresher maws, death, and mild itching.  Discontinue use if you feel fatigue, nausea, and/or irrational desire for fish.  Unless you're Commander Shepard, in which case please stop dancing.

MAJOR EDIT:

I thought it was single player, I missed the "MP" after "MEA" in "MEAMP"

I suppose it could work for multiplayer, but was thinking of single player.  Apologies.

A man's got to know his limitations.

Hey Terminator.  That's a Clint Eastwood (Dirty Harry) line.

OT:  I'm going to buy the game.  No question.   The only thing that may put me off continued MP play is the same old RNG store with a 7-9% chance of a UR and a 99% chance of frustration.  I want a guarantee system, ie:  I buy an AP, I am guaranteed to get some kind or rare/UR weapon.  I buy a RP, I am guaranteed to unlock some kind of character.   Oh, and NO explosive ammo.  I hope they expand the map sizes and expand on the customizability (is that a word?) of characters and weapons.  I don't know if we will see a design-your-own character thing, but I like the idea.

They can keep the store and the huge time sink of the current manifest system.

What I need to guarantee I'll play a bunch is a smooth running game, not the slideshow ME3MP version we many times get on PS3

I'm fine with the RNG-ness of the store, 100%. I've been on record with this before, the randomness of the store doesn't bother me, it keeps people from going AIU/Reegar immediately and killing the variety in the game. Having said that, I think they should remove items that are maxed and consumables that are full, so you're guaranteed to at least get something you don't have/need replenished once your never-used items are full

Having said that, if it means no more free DLC, then by all means, RNG it up. I'll take 60 characters and a bunch of free DLC for a few hundred extra hours of game play and a continually united player base.

I don't think the RNG store, as implemented in ME3MP, is particularly bad, for exactly such reasons.  It promotes diversity instead of everyone having Harrier X right from day 1.  That said, there should be less useless crap taking up space.  Explosive Ammo doesn't work as intended, so remove it from the drop table.  "Guaranteed one Rare or better" but then your Rare is Cryo Ammo #259 when you passed the 255 cap 4 packs ago.  If ammo type is going to be considered "Rare" then it should be a separate type of Rare.  As in the pack should state "Guaranteed one Weapon Rare or better" and if you get the Cryo Ammo it is in addition to the weapon, not in place of it.

DAIMP store was way way worse, and I at least hope MEAMP store does not use DAIMP store as its template.

If the store is the same or even close to the one in ME3MP then I am likely not getting the game.  (Aside from the writing quality issues that may or may not appear)   I do not like to spend hard earned creds on the chance that I might get an upgrade.  If I go to the store to buy groceries, I do not want someone taking 90% of what I paid for off of the counter and simply re-stocking those items on the shelves.  Imagine the clerk turning their nose up at you and saying RNG says you don't get what you bought.  I'd never go to a store like that IRL, so why do I have to deal with it here?  I hate RNG because....  well, if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

In ME3MP many guns were awesome for about a week - feeding the micro-transaction frenzy.  Immediately afterwards, the guns were gimped.  This happened on quite a few of them.  I did not like the constant balancing and re-balancing of guns, and then the smurfing of classes that went along with it.  I know that the Devs did a lot of work to get the game balanced and I appreciate that, but the weekly gimpings and buffings of guns got old pretty fast.  Some of the guns ended up pretty much where they started when it all came out in the wash.  Some were OP as heck, and you had to expect a Destroyer to use a hard hitting light gun with a lot of shots to wreck shop - that's why people chose the class.  (Insert GI jokes here)

In essence, I want some solid guarantees to offset my bad luck.
