I was invited to visit BioWare Austin and sit down and talk with level designer Jordan Koch for his first public interview. Jordan designed much of the environments of The Descent DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition. The Descent DLC was a collaboration between BioWare's Austin and Edmonton studios. Join me for this interview where we talk about The Descent DLC, its subterranean environments, its pre-release bugs, and much more!

It's awesome that you were invited to go along like this :) especially for his first interview. interesting to hear stuff like about all the iterations in terms of darkness levels and twists and turns for things like level 4. I chuckled hearing about the pants bug and "earthquack"  my favorite part tho was hearing about the inspiration behind areas like the wellspring area.. hollow earth hypothesis and the yellow mountains -- that's really cool and interesting  :)

(lol even some BW staff not finishing DA2...  oh dear. [I know it's not REALLY reflective of anything. still amused at the idea tho haha])

Going in with flycam it was really cool to see just how twisty/turny that level was.

Was cool to go close up to the ancient dwarven thaig houses in the wellspring too. Though It was really hard to capture footing in there. Trees kept popping in and out of existence haha!
