If you're talking about the purple/blackish flames, the new skill ought to be sufficient. It grants temporary invincibility, which should last just long enough to run past to safety (and then you do it again to run back across).

Have a mage cast barrier and you'll be able to walk across the purple flames.
Or you can use a skill that grants invulnerability, such as walking fortress and fade cloak.

Yeah you can barrier but it lasts reeally little. Haven't tried Walking Fortress or other warrior things. But the skill should be enough not to hurt you.. What do you mean it didn't work?

put your party in "HOLD POSITION" first I guess you are already aware of that =).

I too am puzzled by how the new invulnerability skill would not be working. Keeping in mind that any class should be capable of this, relying on class-specific skills (like fade step), even if possible, was not the design intent.

I was worried about this but I actually don't think it's necessary. The AI never tried to follow me, even for that one wolf puzzle box where you have to carry the veilfire through an eluvian (probably the furthest away from companions you ever have to go when crossing the purple fire).
