I think we will have to defend and take care of colonies (aka "Settlements").
Anyone excited to see what Bioware and ME:A can learn from Fallout 4?

Grab a few buddies, wait in the lobby and get to saving them! LOL.
I think Bioware wanted to do some "keep management/defense" stuff in Inquisition but had to cut that out. I wouldn't mind this in ME:A provided it's not just some randomly generated, overly intrusive nonsense and you don't have to interface with online multiplayer unless you just wanted to.

But how are they going to get their microtransaction payments otherwise? ![]()

They should make a dating sim for mobile and push all that crap into there.

Mod support and lots of community created content for MEA on Nexus?
I know I know, not gonbna happen ever, but I can still dream, right?

They did make pretty good RPG combat, though, which Bethesda has never managed.
I do like the V.A.T.S., however, the only reason I can see why it not stopping time completely is that you can wait to line up your shot.
On Topic: I would like to see sneaking in MA:A. Also, on a supremely serious note, I would like to see the ability to mod a game the standard for all games that it would be applicable to do so on. Now, I would completely understand if the game is largely a story driven game that had a lot of consequences for actions taken that this might not be the best game for modding. But I actually love modding my games and I would not mind at all if a little graphical quality was sacrificed to get that. That said, DA:I is an absolute beauty of a game graphically -especially if you can play it at high/ultra settings in UHD.

I don’t understand that limitation at all. What we do to the game after we get it is our business. Also, on a supremely serious note, I would like to see the ability to mod a game the standard for all games that it would be applicable to do so on. All games should be moddable, full stop.

Most of the time it's because the developer either doesn't want to take the time to add in modding support, or the licence they have with the game engine prevents them from doing so.
BioWare's stance from my understanding has typically been more of a "We don't mind SP modding, but we're not going to actively support it".

I will concede the point. It was poor wording. Basically what I am trying to get at is that if a perfect game is made, it won't need to be modded. Ofc I left a lot out about what constitutes a perfect game, granted. I was also thinking at the time that a game that has a superb story line and consequences like that won't need a lot of mods and would be difficult to make mods to improve the game, but after thinking it through I believe I was wrong. There will always be graphical mods that change things and stuff like ENBoost to get just the right atmosphere that one desires. This is just one example of many that can improve the gaming experience for the individual that do not really alter the effects of the story and consequences that a game has.

Also, what makes the perfect game differs from player to player. I'd like to disable the cinematic camera in conversations (like I can in FO4). Some people think all conversations should be cinematic. There's no way to resolve this difference without letting us have different experiences, and at some point it's just not economical to build it into the game for it, so they should let us do it.

EA has "encouraged" BioWare to use Frostbite. Frostbite was seemingly designed to be difficult to mod (DICE was quite proud of how unmoddable it was, initially). BioWare talks now about how the engine relies on a ton of middleware that they can't make available, but they won't even tell us what that middleware is (which might allow us to emulate it or work around its absence).
They don't need to actively support it to make it easier. Just provide us with some information.

I mean all that stuff would be built in to the game. We are talking perfection here, not good or great or fantastic or superb... perfect.

Which unfortunately is not up to BioWare to decide if they want to release information about an engine that isn't theirs. That's on EA/DICE wanting to release that information or not.
One can make the argument that EA/DICE should release more information, but BioWare's hands would be tied in the matter. DICE may also have an interest in keeping that information private, on account of them making primarily MP focused games where you don't want people modding it.

A perfect game doesn't actually exist however, and can't exist.

I wish they'd be more open about that. If they're not allowed to give us that information, say so. I think the public should know if EA is actively discouraging modding.

It should be obvious that you can't give away the specifics of technology that isn't yours, even without BioWare saying so.
Though I'd also argue that not releasing the specifics of your engine is not the same as actively discouraging modding.
As I said before, MP games tend to have an interest in people not being able to mod their stuff. The people who make Frostbite are most known for making MP focused games.

This is ridiculous.
Now I have no idea who I'm going to side with. My character is basically a quadruple agent. I'm paralyzed by indecision. And if any of these factions had any sense they'd be ready to execute me.
Nobody else in the common wealth would get away with the kind of vacillation between violently opposing forces that my character is getting away with.
...and I still don't know who I'm going to help in the end.

That doesn't even begin to make sense considering technically a SP only game can be as close as possible to unmoddable as you can get(because truly 100% unmoddable does not exist).
It can't be MP focused if it doesn't have a MP.
