I'm...confused...

Well they sure rushed ME3. That much is obvious without anyone pointing it out. Again look at Priority: Earth.
Still?Yeah, it took months to do that. All the while insisting it was possible despite players posting the math right here.
And in DAI, despite insisting that no SP content would be restricted to MP, they introduced MP-only Skyhold decorations (which to this day has no SP path to get) months later.
So yeah, even if "it's true now" there's no certainty that they won't insert stuff later that "doesn't really count"
Yeah...no.
I can tell you from personal experience I couldn't solo sh*t in ME3MP or DAMP. At my height I could maybe solo the first wave or two of a Bronze level game.
And let me tell you, feeling like you have to be carried through a MP match to get something out of SP feels terrible.
I do not want my fun to be dependent on other people. And just as much, I don't want other people's fun to be dependent on me.
Three things,
1, the mandatory nature of having to MP was changed, as mentioned in later posts. And,
2, if you could solo the first one or two waves of bronze, then absolutely you could at least contribute in a four person team on the same difficulty level, so how is that being carried? And,
3, How is experiencing something that turns out to be ground-breaking and wildly successful -especially given how small the short lived "mandatory" requirement was - a bad thing?
I get that some do not want to MP, and believe me, I was one of them, but in the end I am glad I got to experience something that I hadn't before. It was good on a lot of levels from my perspective.
1) it was changed eventually. But we were told up front (several times) we wouldn't have to do it at all. And as I said, it took months to finally convince the developers that Something Was Wrong and for it to be changed.
2) I could do that at my very best. If I was having a good day, if odds broke in my favor, and after a good deal of practice. Normally I'm much worse.
3) I don't care how "ground-breaking and wildly successful" it was. It was not fun for me, it was frustrating. That's a bad thing.
From the description, I was sure I will never stop playing DAI. Yet, I can not force myself to finish DLC I bought. And it's not because of cut off features, promised in a similar survey, just the game was not at all what I expected reading about it's future awesomeness.
I think this time I will remain skeptical until I see it.
Multiplayer play will also earn you APEX funds (in-game currency), which can be used to purchase items and gear in the Single Player game.
mixing Multiplayer and Single Player?
Will not buy
That's pretty sad m8
The thing is pretty much every game of such caliber starts out with a whole bucket load of features to be made, after all most developers do want to make the best game they can. However its when scheduling by budget people from EA, the marketing department, the various other groups of people who have input that those features end up being cut to make room for a new character to make a more "diverse" crew, a prettier and shinier graphics option, mulitplayer, some other thing that the people who control the purse strings insist must be in a game.
What the director and producer of the game must do is to be the people running interference for the people actually making the game, so that the ideas that can be integrated are but some ridiculous thing that marketing cooked up because they project its inclusion will increase the game's sales by 0,05% does not.
I am just grateful that the people who were in charge of ME3 are not in charge of this one.
And for months you had to MP to get a "better" result.
Despite repeated claims this wouldn't be necessary.
So yeah, I'm not exactly brimming with confidence when it comes to SP rewards via MP. It just forces people who don't want to MP to do so.
Oh, and how well will your promoted N7's work out once the MP servers are eventually sunsetted?
It would be good if you could play multiplayer modes offline with ai squad members.
Its an early leak, so things can and most likely will change.

I keep flashing back to the Extended Cut fiasco, when people found out it was cut from the game (as seen from those incomplete left-over vids in the installation directory)........and we had to pay for it.

Free.95 ain't exactly expensive.
The price is irrelevant. It's the principle that matters.
Pay for it? What are you talking about?
AT FIRST. DOOOOOD!!!
When a price was announced. Then everyone went spastic and EA was forced to give it away for free

What price was announced?
"determine the fate of humanity."
I don't like that part. Sounds like more humans are special and more important than every other species garbage.
I don't think so.
It sounds to me like "for all we know we are the last of humanity and we need to look out for our interests, and if we don't succeed we may very well go extinct."
Sigh... Looks like it is going to be yet another large open world game with MMO-like quests, points of interest, etc. and only a small part focused on the main story. Oh well... Classic story-focused games now moved to Kickstarter, it seems. As for MEA, I will probably just look through a story compilation on Youtube. I think I'm done with this kind of games. DAI, Witcher 3, now this - I am tired of open worlds.
^Didn't the original announcement for the EC by Ray Muzyka mention that there would be absolutely no cost attached to it?
Hi everyone. Let's keep it civil in here. Thank you.
