Thank you for this video, very interesting theories too.

Maybe I missed it, but what about a blast we see at the start of this trailer?

Something clearly goes wrong on a ship and considering all concept art where always some sort of ship wreckage showed... I'm speculating, of course, but maybe we will be in a second crew trying to reach Andromeda?

I had trouble finding the footage for this one but the link was provided by someone.

We can only speculate at the moment unfortunately till the game comes out.

The speculation about Ryder being sent out before us could make a lotta sense.  Humans send out an explorer, all seems promising for colonization, and then communication are cut.  That's when the N7 boys get sent in.

It'd make for a better story if we act as brutal imperialists instead of being nice guys.  Think Columbus and his genocide on some indigenous tribes.

All in all I expect us to go through some big boy conflicts in this game.

The last time humans got too curious about the galaxy in the ME universe it led to the First Contact War.

Encountering hostile races while exploring is a recurring theme in ME: Salarians getting raped by Rachni, Citadel ambassadors being eaten by Yahgs, etc

Bio should have named the pc after the astronaut lady who drove cross country in a diaper. Her determination is a commendable character trait.

The whole Andromeda trip doesn't really really sense unless it's in escape-from-Reapers context/concept. Columbus voyage was possibly because Portugese crown wanted to trail new trade routes to South East Asia. Colonies in Americas were created because it was possible to transports the exploited goods back to Europe.

Andromeda is too far away for anything other than QEC communication to occur. Which private corporation or government would invest in a project that would be pure money sink?

That's a rocket taking off. I've seen that exact footage a bunch of times on programs that talk about the Space Race. The rocket blast is forced into a chamber to give extra lift since all of it is pressing straight down instead of to the sides as well. And since flame chases oxygen, the flame climbs back up out of the chamber and that's what we are seeing.

That is some great work! Thank you for that Invaderone!

I cannot believe even for a second that the images shown in the teaser were randomly selected by BW. This was done deliberately and in a way bridges the trilogy with MEA. BW picked these videos of "firsts" to draw a parallel to what our mission will be in MEA: a first for humankind. BW has always made a point to let their fans know that they care quite a bit about what the fans think and what they want. I could be too naive but I believe that this teaser, while not being too revealing, is a way for BW to set the stage for what is coming up while respecting what's already happened.

The theory that the dog tags do not belong to the character we will be playing is wrong IMO and it goes against the images of “firsts”: if we are following someone who’s already made it to Andromeda then we are not the first to make the trip and the teaser sort of falls apart. I think the dog tags, combined with Gamble’s tweet to “ look closer” at the teaser is BW’s way to give us tidbits of information to keep the speculation going. I think that we will definitely be chasing someone, likely the N7 character from the original teaser, but that someone will have made the trip to Andromeda with the rest of us on the Ark ship and will have an agenda of their own.

I also think that the view of Earth as the ship is leaving is somewhat revealing of the fact that this is actually occurring before the events of ME3 because otherwise BW would have no choice to pick a canon ending for the trilogy. At this point I don't believe that BW is looking to throw more oil on the fires created by ME3's ending but rather start right in a new direction.

And yes... Shepard knew.  :)

Either they have made a colonyship that radiates it drive charge into space, which would be doable jight now if we had eezo and a working drive.... Radiating enery isn´t a problem, you just have to get rid of enough of it in an acceptable time. The drive module seems to be separated from the rest of the ship, probably to avoid a disscharge into the crew living areas.

Or they Finilised a human design  FTL drive that was in development Before the Protean FTL drive and Protean ships were found.
Humanity had spread throughout the system and were running experimental testing of human built FTL drives that had no Eezo. Maybe they decided to revisit those old designs now that the Reapers were on the way and decided to see if their new Tech with eezo and Everything else developed around the galaxy could help them create a new drive system. Perhaps more efficient and far more powerful.

Conrad Verner Shepards "creepy" stalker, also had some interesting theories that improved Eezo core designs..... If you did his side adventure... Turns out he had something he could have done rather than stalking Shepard...
