... and that was from what was arguably a "kids film" ...
BBFC rated U (Universal, suitable for all)
and then some have issues with a b00b.., how can it be?.
PS: rhetorical question.

Where games lose me is when it's done wrong or overdone (see Witcher 3).
What about it? The gore looks realistic enough. Swords chop things off (such as heads and limbs). Seems legit.
They will have to further cut the nudity options for this because they are too graphic.....but hey, exploding heads!

I'd prefer if we had both sex and violence, it'd make "exploding head" into a double etendre.
Depends on weapons used. I don't quite want a Fallout 4 Bloody Mess level where people explode from a .38 bullet to the chest.
But headshots should make a nice dent or pop the head. And I don't object to heavy weapons (such as missile launchers or Krysae-style snipers) making body parts fly; real life weapons like anti-materiel rifles can do this, and Mass Effect weapons are even dealier.
...
This is more what the result of being hit by a Claymore or Widow should look like (extremely NSFW and very gruesome)
Spoiler
ME's gore has thus far been quite close to reality, at least in ME3. It was too sanitized in earlier games. More powerful weapons even had greater gib chances built into the files IIRC (which is why sniper rifles tend to produce chunks on every headshot, but a Geth Pulse Rifle will almost never do so), which I thought was a cool touch.
TBH they can put as much gore in it as they like and I'll not be bothered ... but I'm still not going past the warning screen on that link... at least not without finding an anonymous web proxy in another country first...

HALP!

The only unrealistic part, to me, was Geralt diagonal cutting guys in full plate from shoulder to groin as if his sword suddenly turned into a lightsaber. But a mutant with his strength and enchanted, sharpened swords chopping off a human neck? That's reasonable.
For what purpose?
I wouldn't mind a bit of gore. The exploding heads in ME3 were done well, I think.
As long as it's not ridiculous and overdone like in DA2 (meaning: bodies splitting into a million pieces even tough I barely touched them).
This...word for word.
For what purpose?
Realism.
Please BioWare, please.
I think BioWareIModhater got banned...
Interestingly enough, Mass Effect 3 predominantly features exploding heads, by way of direct head shot.
I'd like to see more.
More important than gore I think is just to have some plausible physics when people get hit with high velocity rounds. Like with the two characters in the below clip that meet the business end of a .30 caliber MG while headed up those stairs:

That is important.
The other thing I appreciate seeing is some representation of entry and exit wounds. It's strange how many games will let limbs fly off but otherwise show a perfectly clean body (or limb for that matter) after it's been sprayed with sharp projectiles.
Remember those rat infested room in the origin story of DA:O?
Hit one rat and you are covered in blood from head to foot.
It was ridiculous.
I´m ok with the violence in ME:3, Witcher 3 (but those killing moves dlc seems a bit much, ...it hard to see which body part exactly I can loot, if they lie meters apart...) and Fallout 4.
