Hence why Saren was a oddball because he contacted them and lived, you later learn in ME2 via Legion that he contacted them via Sovereign.
So yeah, the only living organic to come out of the Veil since the war was the guy who convinced a bunch to join the Reapers.

I don´t know if they kill everyone who tries to contact them and is not a muslim pledging allegiance to the caliphate, but considering that were pretty eager to pubicly execute foreign aid workers and western journalists, contacting them is not something I would call safe.

Funnily I see destroy as the option with the least casualties. 0 actually since toasters can't die. But even if you see them as alive it's still the smallest casualty end.

Humans has considered others less capable since the beginning. However, elephants can mourn lost children till they die. Granted, humans, usually, got more language to express these things, but that doesn't mean that the emotions do not exist in other creatures.

I didn't like Legion in Mass Effect, nor did I like EDI. So, my Shepard was very anti-synthetic.
If they didn't exist, I wouldn't even care.
I like the Geth, more than the Quarians actually, I just don't like Legion.
Both it and EDI come off as such forced "notice me, notice me" type of characters.
For the "toaster", the other life forms are merely bags of dirty water. They gained their conscience at the same time the Quarien attempted to genocidize them : Not the best way to begin diplomatic relationships with non-synthetic lifeforms. After that, they stayed during centuries behind the Veil and the only ones that comes again to slaughter organics are Reapers follower. Excuse me, but Reapers follower are a good exemple of normal behaviors?
What I'm impressed in this thread is that a lot of people want to be able to hate to the core ONE species of the MEU? Why not be able to hate ALL of them and be able to kill every non-human in sight? If you can't mind seeing non-human, play at warhammer 40K. Seriously.

I loved the Geth in ME1, when they were mindless toasters to shoot down on sight, ME2 and 3 annoyed me a lot in trying to make them relateable. I still remained anti-synthetic despite them wanting to challenge my beliefs. EDI I barely notice in ME3 I've always thought we needed a Krogan companion, Citadel proved me right...now how awesome this game would have been with Wrex as a permanent party member....instead we got the sexbot.... -__-" telling you synthetics are a waste of companion slots. Javik would agree with me
