Suggest new game mechanics.

 

I've tested a few and while some are good on paper they aren't cool enough ingame.

 

E.g. a hotkey that puts you in a blocking stance, reflecting all projectiles

Friendly fire besides HB RT archer's confusion shot. That's all I would ever dream of.  :P

 

Otherwise, whatever that would help to troll your pugs / friends.

I think I can inject a customized prefab to allow for pvp on a single route, something like 2 v 2. that or pvp ring, whichever i'll have the strength to test first

 

edit: just looked into it, forget that idea

Class that completely utilises the tactical cam. Something like a fade ghost or whatever, it would work like Abathur from HotS.

I still think a PVE adaptation of PVP would be pretty slick. 2 v 2 or something of the like.

 

Somehow incorporate health pools or opposite teams dragons that have to be damaged by catapults. To access the catapults you have to clear mobs or zones.

-Allow more abilities to be equiped

-Make the brute / RT commander smash jump a player ability.

-Allow handicaps to be equipped, less dmg resistance, health, crit chance etc

-Remove disruption from Swashbuckle and Spinning Blades

-Create a Healing Mist Grenade that uses up your health instead of potion count

-Mods for all "lesses" grenades

-Crit on Toxic Cloud, Blizzard plz

-Integrate these skills into respective classes: Block and Slash, Evade, Shield Wall

 

Parry for SS and duelist or Gangway for duelist.

Full Draw or Fallback Plan for rangers.

 

Energy Barrage for mages.

 

-Spirit Mark multiplies the NPC's dmg until it fits your stats and gear.

-Blizzard freezes faster

-Dragonlings are replaced by more diverse and powerful spawns

 

Rings in need of being revamped

-Flanking ring (more than double)

-Barrier/guard penetration ring (more than triple)

-various skill rings

 

-Craftable armor upgrades

 

Random fantasies

 

-Dragon Rage on the necro (causes chill)

 

-Fade Cloak on rogues

 

-Hidden Blades on a mage

 

-Leaping Shot on a warrior (let's say they're shurikens then, or wasps)

I just want 6 hotkeys.. 1-6 :P and switch pots keys to 7-0.  Because serisouly for many agents, 6 hotkeys would completely change the mechanics of the class :P

ATM I can get you up to 4 more hotkeys but they have to be fixed abilities (can't be mapped via the ability tree UI)

Give us 4 Nuke abilities plz  :rolleyes:

 

Proposed options:

 

1: emissary boss gamma ray beam (a substitute for the machine gun idea) or dragon ball spam, either would work

2: quanri boss perma disruption field

3: druffy commander dance & flashlights in the form of chain lightning (any chance of adding some disco with this as well?)

4: perma pota (FC HB mage narnia / undercroft version) / auto taunt / perma counterstrike / perma rain of arrows / perma firestorm

5. HB RT archer confusion shot (if you can't do friendly fire, then at least it would be fun to watch chaos within the enemy ranks.)

6. hmmm, you know that quanri boss kills most of the mobs upon death? If you could put this on a player... BEST TROLLING PASSIVE EVER! (I bet Bruh would love this to death.)

7. red lyrium spikes. a lot of red lyrium spikes.

8. space - time magic

9. morph into corypheus / coryfish

What, so you want to make everyone with only 1 (or 10, any difference?) hp per match?  :P

 

Basic attack consume stamina/mana?

 

No abilities?

 

Good plan :) This will make a great difficulty mode: Soul Breaker

If Pronto's idea is way too ambitious, then surely making DAMP resemble anything remotely like Dark Souls would be undoable.  If people want to play Dark Souls, they can just go play Dark Souls.

 

First person mode on the other hand sounds pretty interesting.

First person mode on the other hand sounds pretty interesting.

 

 

DAMP FPS sounds like minecraft with more lag. Still, anything to break the tedium is welcomed.

First person cornered by shieldy guys would be interesting, especially seeing those awful red templar faces close up. Hmm, that also means we'd have a better view of Pala... but at least Isabela would be there to balance things out a bit.

If you do something with first person is there any way to cut down on how many enemies can make your character suddenly turn around? I imagine feeling a lot of motion sickness by 5/5.

If I ever do a FPS mod it will take advantage of strafing (your facing direction changes only when you change the camera angle with your mouse)

 

For now what I'm working on is a two-stance combat mod. Toggled with the sprint hotkey, you'll either end in an offensive mode where you can strafe, combat roll (optimized) and have an offensive basic attack chain, or in defensive mode, where you won't be able to strafe but you'll have more mobility, evade (optimized) and a defensive basic attack chain. I have a prototype version working for mages for it's hard to m ake it work f or all 3 classes

Each character could have a Focus ability.

There's already been a couple suggestions of abilities so you should have a healthy pool to choose from.

It would be nice to have 1 unique ability per character, but I could see 1 ability per race, class, weapon (1h, 2h, staff, daggers, bow)

You were talking about hardcoded abilities if we wanted to go over 4, this seems a good and universal example of what it could be used for.

Please make Katari large as Qunari shocktrooper and give him ability to dual wield greatswords.

Heck,make him as a giant and dual wield Saarebas in one hand and Silent sister in another.

How about buff the difficulty of Proving Ground to Heartbreaker level? Buff the npc party members to HB boss level because they will need it to survive with such dumb AI.
