Templar = just basic attack
Arcane Warrior = have to change belts and no barrier
Keeper = forever cool down

Pug level 1
aw. sucks without barrier.
Virtuoso = I just make everyone run faster and provide moral support. ![]()
Seriously I really hate playing level 1 Virtuoso. Even with the hot lick ring, hot lick is pretty weak. I thought about puttnig on the inferno belt but that will proably just make my Virtuoso dead sexy.
I guess I could try barrier....Na! ![]()
Saraabus = Everything is very loud. BB = loud, Leap = loud. It hurts my ears. ![]()
Templar. I hate auto attacks / auto attack shield wall cancelling.
Assassin. In fact she sucks all the way until you get I was never there.
AW. What's the point of AW if he gets no barrier?
I consider AW to be one of the better lvl 1 characters. I mean, there is no starting ability that does as much damage as SB.

templar - basic attack at the time
alchemist - basic attack and wasted mines, only 2 or 3 hit 1 enemy.
arcane warrior - have to change belt and no barrier as well.
I vote for templar. No starting offensive abilities means that it is a chore to kill things unless you have high promotions and top notch equipment. Afterwards, templar is a lot of fun, but at level 1, ugh.

Gonna have to say:
1:Templar being lamentable at lv1 due to nothing but basic attack.
2: Avvar as I find him very limited, yes he can generate guard, but it's quite weak (at least that I've found) & he is rather squishy.
3: Virtuoso, he just get's in the way until he gains a few levels.
AW. Hands down. Absolutely dreadful without barrier. Especially bad if you are wearing a pact belt.
aw
Depends on promotions and whether or not you put 30% HOK on your Hakkon Staff
Can solo perilous as level 1
Touche...
But I would stand a better chance soloing perilous with a level 1 Templar than an level 1 AW. Sure it might take an hour and a half, but I just may survive.
Maybe people who hate AW at lv 1 have low promotions,but AW is one of better kits at beginning.
Hakkon+belt is awesome awesome.Plus he has CL and SB from the start.
i always take my level 1 aw through the proving grounds to make him levle 2 then do peri wiht the ability to generate barrier without needing to change my accessories on him (he will be in the fade if he gets hit regardless of the pact belt or not anyway)
my absolute worst char at levle 1 is the necro, 1 damage skill auto attacks are virtually useless no defesive skill everyone else has better starting abilities, I thought that once I had 80 across the board perhaps that would change but no I still hate the necro until its at least level 8 (preferably level 12) maybe once I get more promo's on her that will change....it seems like each char gets a bonus from its own promo's on top of the "everyone gets this bonus" and there all really really weak until they have more than 15 promo's on them individually .... maybe once I complete all those 250 completes banners I will have decent promo's that's if I can bother my arse to actually do them /
Templar is underrated as a lvl 1, just like Lego is. You guys are underestimating the power of these two classes with gear and stats. Crescent shadow + isatunal+proper crafting=makes sword and shield classes completely solo-able at level 1.
L2shieldwall.
Funnily enough, I played Templar 1 last night with the Crescent Shadow Hakkon *grumble grumble* and had forgotten how good it was.
I've had a think and I can't really pick one. They are all pretty strong at level 1 once you get high promotes.
I was going to say keeper, but at least you get barrier every once in a while, but I don't like Keeper period so bias views an all ![]()
