Before we hang our stockings by the chimney with care and settle down for a long winter's nap, we wanted to wish everyone the happiest of holidays. It's been an incredible year, and we're thrilled to have had you on this journey with us.

This holiday season is especially exciting because our friends at Dark Horse Comics have just launched Dragon Age: Magekiller #1, written by the amazing Greg Rucka. Magekiller will give readers a first look at Minrathous, the capital city of the Tevinter Imperium. If you've been itching for more Dragon Age lore, this new adventure in Thedas ought to satisfy your craving.

To celebrate its release, we've prepared a special holiday treat for you. For a limited time only, download Dragon Age: Inquisition – Songs of the Exalted Council from a desktop computer with our sincerest thanks. This collection features five new bard songs from the Trespasser DLC:

  • "Fall of the Magister"
  • "Scout Lace Harding"
  •  "Inquisitor"
  • "The Followers"
  • "The Slightest Ones"

(All music by Raney Shockne feat. Elizaveta and Nick Stoubis.)

Most profound revelation is that the solas theme is titled "Dark Solas Theme."

Awesome, but I use neither Spotify nor iTunes, and I can't order from Amazon since I don't live in a country from which you can buy digital music there. Hopefully the soundtracks will be available in some other form as well soon. Would it be too much to hope for it to appear in Origin? The main game's soundtrack is available through Origin, so why not this one as well?

I'll just do with YouTube, like every other cheap skate. Except I'd really get it if I could pay. But they don't want my money the way I want to give it to them...

Doesn't look like my favourite theme was included - the one that plays when you talk to Solas in front of the eluvian. It's a faster version of "Lost Elf Theme"  :(

Yeah I totally agree and I like the way it is introduced, with the music that plays when you get out of the eluvian and see all the dead Qunari, and when the Inquisitor hears Solas' voice and starts running, that part is the best for me.. This "Lost Elf Theme" is what I call the "Companions endings theme" cause it is way too slow. Still nice sure! But not the same as the slightly more paced one you hear during the dialogue scene. So I will keep the file I recorded ingame of that part and add it to the soundtrack XD

Anyway! Still happy they finally released this <3 <3

Dragon Age's tradition of not releasing the most beautiful track continues. Last time, it was the Battle for Haven.

I never understood why Bioware doesn't release all of the soundtrack on the OSTs... I mean, what? Why pick and choose? Let us deide which ones we like. Anyway, hopefully this also means I can get proper album cover art for Trespasser.

Edit: And released on my birthday! Cool.

Kinda wished they called the Dark Solas Theme the Dread Wolf... Dark Solas just sounds evil...

Edit: happy birthday!

Edit: happy birthday!

Well, the unofficial name for the track that plays when you talk to Solas is The Dread Wolf... which is the one that isn't on the soundtrack. So I'm going to leave that one, naturally. As much as I hate renaming official names, I don't like spoilers in the song titles for when other people are around who haven't played, so I'll just call the combat one "The Trespasser" unless I think of something better. But yes, I agree, The Dread Wolf sounds a lot better :P

Thanks!

Also, random notes:

The Descent main theme oddly does not have most of the combat portion of it that plays when assaulting the darkspawn nest. Luckily, I recorded that myself, and can splice it! And it's nice to have proper endings to the looping tracks now.
