If they did it in way that has been done with that abadoned ME mp project I would be up for it, but if they would pull another ME3-DA:I MP they can keep it.
Would you support a stand alone, online Mass Effect multiplayer game?

The short answer: Money.
The long answer: There is a very large crowd interested in SP, story driven RPG's.
Your MP game might succeed or fail horribly, but either way it will be aimed at a different niche than another mainly SP ME game.
Regarding MP shooters, the market is flooded with them, in whatever color and flavor imaginable, Sci-Fi included.
So doing another squad MP shooter when there are other companies out there that are better at making them, and considering
that many EA games are rather problematic when it comes to netcode and reliable online connection - it's a risk.
I can't say that I want to see ME becoming MP, but even if it does, the market is do for a change anyway, so if Bioware
exits their home niche, someone else will take over. Maybe someone better.
There is a flood of very samey mp games that get reskined to various games. I haven't played it but maybe war frame is different enough but most aren't. Mass Effect with its 6 class categories added layers that no other game I can think of did. Biotics and tech are huge game changes for me.
I still want a SP game but I would not be opposed to a MP only game if it was a improved version of MEmp.

But the question remains, will the addition of Biotics and Tech bring the heavy players of MP shooters into a new game?
From my experience, hardcore MP shooter fans tend to be very particular about what they want in their game, they are also where
the heavy potential for making cash is when it comes to these games.
And while there isn't a game exactly like MEMP out there right now, there are enough games out there with similar elements.

Which abandoned ME MP project are you referring to?

If BioWare released a standalone, always online co-op multiplayer Mass Effect game (very similar to Mass Effect 3's multiplayer), would you support it?
If it got rid of and/or and kept MP out of ME:A then yeah.
Although I wouldn't buy it or play it.

There was a ME themed first person shooter, can't remember if it was SP or MP.

But...there's ME3's co-op always on MP so no one needs another. And like you I wouldn't buy it. A gunned up version of second life. Ugh. People pretending to be Asari or Krogan or whatnot, going on "quests". Or just playing capture the flag. Been there, done that x 1000000. They're all the same but with slightly different terrains and weapon effects.
And there's always cheaters to ruin them too.

I wouldn't object to it, ME3 multiplayer is really fun and I'm excited to see what Andromeda's multiplayer will be. I have to agree with others though, maybe add a few more modes just for more variety and options.

The one that looks like sort of Batlefield in ME universe, i think sort of FPS...

if it were designed in a way like the old Star Wars Battlefront games, hell yes

No? Is this question serious... ME3's multiplayer was so small how could be a standalone game? Unless it was a F2P throwaway with microstransactions.
Get out of here with that crap. I played ME3 MP more than I played its singleplayer. It was pretty fun and actually had the most depth I've seen in a survival MP mode. and the MT's were extremely unintrusive.

Is there an issue with ME:A having MP?

I would support it, but I don't see a point really. MEA with both MP and SP components is a better idea. There are lots of people who are mainly in it for the single-player, but who would love MP if they only tried it. I know, because there were many of us who felt that way about ME3.
It's kind of sad how even in this thread there are so many who seem to hate MP without ever trying it out first.

I would like to see it used in a more MLG format. supporting twitch and stream play. maybe put together tournaments for new game modes. some pvpve with two teams going head to head with the horde swarming on both. maybe do a capture and defend mode with one team defending a npc or area as the other attacks wail fighting waves of npc attackers on both teams.

I would also be fun to add some player homes/ personal ship hud like place where you can change loadouts and gear. travel to player hubs where you can buy new gear and socialize. create team/clan logos and personalize colors for gear and weapons. Mod armor and weapons to tweak the stats to better fit your class and playstyle

ME's style of gameplay is not well-suited for PvP. Way too much emphasis on disabling, staggering and instant hitscan powers. It'd be an insanely frustrating experience - kind of like playing Platinum Geth, but much, much worse.

No! I have zero interest in playing MP shooter game and I never played it since Medal of Honor:Allied Assault
