Hey guys I was just wondering how it's possible for you to increase your damage. As of now my Assassin is level 13 with one rare and common. Even with my lv 20 Elementalist the max damage I saw was 300 and to me that's pretty awful. Countless times at the end of the match I'm at the bottom and I've put in about 8 hours in it so far. Any tips?

Higher base damage weapons are the main requirement. Outside of that, using skills in the most effective way possible (like attacking from stealth on the flank), boosting your crit chance through weapon upgrades, accessories, and down the road, promotions.

If you are new, we all were at one time, then PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE. This multiplayer is all about promotions and equipment, you get both by grinding. As you promote the base stat for that class carries over to all characters. So get to 20 and then flip it back to 1. The more promotions and the more familiar you get with a character the more awesome you will feel playing.

Finding classes you enjoy at all levels will be the key to playing for the long haul.

eg. I favor the Legionnaire, Arcane Warrior and Silent Sister. However that is not to say those are best.

Don't fret over where you place at the end of a match btw. All gold and XP is shared.

Save any Heal on Kill (HoK) materials for crafting HoK weapon upgrades for high level uniques. The HoK materials are EXTREMELY rare.

As a new player use + constitution and + health accessories when you get them on all classes and if you get a HoK ring use that too. All items and weapons can be equipped on multiple characters at the same time.

Don't worry about hoarding potions, use them. When spending gold buy the 2000 gold chest. It gives the max return; giving items and potions. There is no way to know what you're getting or improve your chances to get something, it's all random. So I advise that you spend when you get it, I usually spend in 10k increments.

Salvage items you don't use except for purples, the chances you'll get that unique purple again or another soon are small. I do salvage doubles however.

THE way to increase your damage is to get superior equipment. The difference between starter gear and high level uniques far outweighs the benefits you'll get from promoting when you're starting out. You should be promoting, but you really won't notice any differences until you start getting better gear.

 

The only way to do that is to play the game and open chests. Just bear in mind that this game has one of the worst, most predatory, poorly designed RNG drop mechanics I've ever experienced.

Dont worry so much about being bottom its more important to work as a team, just contribute as much as you can thats all you can do .  The higher numbers will arrive in time

If you are in Routine, try unlock Reaver (warrior), Silent Sister (rogue), or Saraabus (mage).  They have the most potential to deal high damage even with less promotions or less than ideal weapons.  But score board is really not important.  I have many many matches where my Lego is at the bottom but he was the one reviving all those damage dealers.  There is also a way to get support xp to get to the top but it was too much trouble for me to figure it out.

Always promote characters....

 

You'll do heaps of damage once you hit 200 on each stat.
