So, for my character's canon, she romanced Alistair and she and he remained with the Wardens. Nope, Alistair did not become king ... they both chose to remain Gray Wardens. Yet, somehow in a playthrough BASED on this Keep save, Alistair showed up as king to kick the mages outta Redcliffe! I went back and checked the Keep, and yep, Alistair still remains as a Warden. Yet, in the choice regarding what my character did, it says "Did the Warden remain as King Alistair's mistress?"

Um. CLEARLY Alistair is NOT king.

Can you tell me what's going on here, what's become corrupted? This just blew 10 hours of a playthrough, and I'm kind of afraid to create a new character to ensure my canon is what I want it to be, if this is not saving correctly!

Did you export your save from the Keep before starting DAI?

Lol, while I understand the question -- yes, in fact I did. That isn't the problem. The problem is that for my Keep, in my world state as driven by my character's canon, Alistair and the warden stayed with the wardens. Alistair did not become King. My Keep shows that Alistair did not become king -- Anora became queen. Yet, as I stated above, IN THE KEEP it asks "Did the Warden remain as King Alistair's mistress." One saved state, in the keep, with the above contradiction in two separate choices. This is the problem I'm seeking resolution to. If it can't be resolved, since I've tried changing the world state (NOTHING TO CHANGE!!! I've made the correct choices!) I'd like to find a way to delete that world state.

All questions in the Keep show up even if other answers in the Keep make the question redundant or stupid. So you cannot create a world state where you are not asked about whether you were Allister's mistress. Just say no and move on.

I think that answers your question.

Hrm. Sorry, Ranadiel, no, it doesn't. Let's take this a bit deeper. First of all, I've already done one playthrough with this world state -- and it played through correctly. Alistair showed up as the Warden contact, hunted by other wardens, he was working his way back to the Hero of Ferelden, blah de blah blah.

It was the second time I started playing through this particular world state with no changes having been made to the world state that Alistair showed up in Redcliff as the King, rather than Anora showing up, as the queen.

Clear things up for you a bit? Certainly hope so ... or did you just not really read what was being questioned? That seems more likely as, if you read above, you'll see that your answer is nowhere even near touching on what my question asked.

I was able to find a way to delete world states, so I did delete this corrupted world state, and have recreated it, with a new name. Let's hope it holds up to more than one playthrough. I'd say that perhaps it would be beneficial to find out if file creep, or something else, might be causing corruption. Now I know to create a special, new world state per playthrough. Done's done, yes?

I read what you asked. You asked:

The problem is that for my Keep, in my world state as driven by my character's canon, Alistair and the warden stayed with the wardens. Alistair did not become King. My Keep shows that Alistair did not become king -- Anora became queen. Yet, as I stated above, IN THE KEEP it asks "Did the Warden remain as King Alistair's mistress." One saved state, in the keep, with the above contradiction in two separate choices. This is the problem I'm seeking resolution to.

The Keep always asks whether you remained King Alistair's mistress even if your Warden was a male (and therefore are incapable of romancing him). That is normal and intended behavior. Your world state was not corrupted just because it asked that question.

As for the more general question, it sounds like you got the default world state on your second play through. If I were to take a guess, you probably weren't connected to the Internet when starting your second game.
