Should be a bad singer or drinker, just for variation sake.
Should the main character be a good dancer?

For variation's sake, the next protagonist shouldn't be a drinker at all.

I think that should be up to player choice.
It's fair to complain about as Shepard was a drinker regardless of player decision, but I don't want to be forced to play a tea toddler anymore than you want to be forced to play a drunk.

I'm fine with that, as long as they don't make refusing to drink make your character appear like a jerk as they have done in the past. I was referring to if player choice was excluded, like a lot of the things being discussed here are.

Not sure why there would be a situation in which the PC is dancing. If there is, then yeah. Can't have another PC with two left feet.
That's might be one of the saddest things for me about never revisiting the civilization of the Milky Way. No more height of galactic civilization, no more council politics, no more dance clubs.

Surely wherever people go they will bring politics and dancing.

I'm OK with the main character being a good dancer ONLY if they are hilariously bad at some other minor action to compensate. Being able to make fun of your own character is one of the many ways developers can make them seem more human and relatable.

How about being a bad driver? but more due to being daring or slightly wreckless rather than due to lack of skill?
Could lead to fun moments if, for example, some races like the driving style while other races don't.

Let's see.
Earth puts together a "last minute save humanity Ark" and you can only come up with "should the man character be a good dancer"?
I'm flummoxed!

Considering the car chase in LoTSB, I think Shepard suffers from this idiosyncrasy. And hey, maybe the Mako doesn't have horrendous handling, and BioWare just wanted to accurately portray how terrible Shepard was at driving.

What if our protagonist was a professional dancer before joining the military?
I am having visions of Mordin's singing talents right now...

MEA aka footloose 2600. Teach the uptight andromeda Galaxy how to dance and express themselves through the love of music.
I'm a bad enough dancer that I didn't realize Shepard was a bad dancer until NPCs told me.

yes, I was actually impressed with how good Ashley could dance in the Citadel DLC, and incredibly let down on how bad Miranda could dance, she made Shepard look like a pro (I guess she wasn't completely perfect...), I think we need a protagonist that has cultural qualities as well as combat capabilities.
I would like to hear a conversation like: Do you find my biotic/combat/engineering skills impressive? You should see me on the dance floor!
Maybe have a little dance-off for fun, it would be interesting I think.

^C'mon Sylvius, I think we can make an exception in this case. The pleasures of dancing should be guaranteed to all, regardless of stats.

Should dancing be even included? Cause I don't it serves another purpose in the games than being humoristic: Shepard can't dance. If protagonist can dance well where is the humour and purpose then? And even if they dance badly that would be just recycling Shepards joke.
Why not?
