After "What Pride Hath Wrought", how do you trigger the story in which Morrigan finds her son?

Also, what do I have to do to get Alistair to see his son again, in the garden of Skyhold?

For the first, go to the room the eluvian is in and talk to Leliana.

For the second, that one is tricky. I've only read about it but it is possible. You apparently have to do WEWH and get Morrigan to Skyhold before meeting up with Alistair in Crestwood. Once she's hanging out in the garden, then go find Alistair so that he is hanging out at Skyhold as well. At some point, maybe after leaving and returning a few times, a trip to the garden should trigger the cutscene. If you are already past Arbor Wilds, I'm afraid it's too late for your current game.

will that be before or after i had done What Pride Hath Wrought? cause i loaded both of my saves--one before WPHW and the other right after and both times Leliana wasn't there by the mirror

It would be after you get back from Arbor Wilds.

This may be an obvious question but, your Inquisitor has met Kieran, yes? You should meet him the first time you talk with Morrigan after returning from the ball. After that, he is standing next to Morrigan in the garden. When you get back from the temple of Mythal, if Morrigan drank from the Well, she says to come see her to plan your next move. She is no longer in the garden at that point but Leliana will tell you she went through the mirror after Kieran. If Leliana isn't by the mirror, Morrigan should still be in the garden. If she is, that would mean she doesn't have Kieran in your game.

What console are you on? It is bugged and will not happen on console and PC requires you to edit your save file to make it happen.

i didn't talked to Morrigan at all in the garden after the ball. i guess what you said about not having Kieran makes sense since i have never played DAO or DA2

If you used the default world state then there is no Kieran.   However, if you have Alistair as the Warden you meet in Crestwood, then you must have used a Keep save and thus it would depend on how you set up the Keep.   If Morrigan had a child with Alistair in the Keep, then you will find Morrigan not in the garden after the Arbor Wilds and Leliana standing by the mirror.   This should occur whether or not you previously talked to Morrigan and Kieran in the garden.

Just stating this so it's more clear: you have to do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts BEFORE you do Here Lies the Abyss. After Abyss the Warden, whoever that is, just disappears from Skyhold, so there is no opportunity to talk to him again after you return, and thus there is no possibility of him being there when Morrigan arrives.

I believe you need to go in this order:
* Complete Wicked to get Morrigan.
* Then go to Crestwood and meet the Warden.

Now, I'm not sure whether the Warden appears in Skyhold before or after you Meet Erimond in the Western Approach, but he'll show up eventually. Then you can talk to him about various things. If it's Stroud you can ask him some general stuff about Wardens. With Alistair I think you can get some romance-specific lines regarding a romanced HoF, in addition to stuff about Morrigan. I don't know about the Loghain dialogue, but I'm sure there is some.

Really? That's a bummer.

I know this might sound silly for a Dragon Age veteran but I just realized that I had Hawke and Stroud with me when I was in the Fade and I sacrificed Stroud. I can't remember whether Alistar was there or not. Where would he be after that if he wasn't there with me in the Fade?

If Stroud was in your game, then Alistair would not be a Warden. He might be king, but in that case he will not show up at Skyhold at all. In order for the meeting with Morrigan/Kieran to take place, Alistair has to be the Warden you meet in Crestwood.

To elaborate on this: the game chooses between three characters for the Warden you meet in Crestwood and have as your Warden contact during the events of Here Lies the Abyss, and these are all dependent on your choices in the previous games (or however you set it up in the DA Keep).

If Alistair was made king in DAO, abandoned you to later become a drunk in Kirkwall, or killed, he will NOT be there.

If Loghain was killed, or not made into a Warden after the Landsmeet, he will NOT be there.

If you have either Loghain or Alistair, Stroud will NOT be there.

Stroud only shows up if Alistair is king or dead, and if Loghain was not made a Warden and/or is dead.

Loghain only shows up if he was made a Warden and is not dead.

Alistair only shows up if he was not made king (and thus remained a Warden), stayed with you, and is not dead.

But in all three cases, you will only get one of these men.
